How hard is it to piant a motherboard?

I want to pain the letters and stripes off MAXIMUS VIII RANGER to green. 

 

How hard would that be? What kind of paint should i use for it?

 

U can see a picutre of the motherboard here, what i want to repain is just the red off the heatsinks into green.

its not normally a good idea because it will void your warranty but if you use something like plastidip you could remove it. but painting it you should probably use a stencil and mask off all the pcb and expansion slots.

it's very easy to paint a motherboard. 

To paint a motherboard that stays working, much harder. I would not recommend it...but, since you just want to paint a small area of the heatsinks...maybe?

According to a video from Pauls hardware, painting heatsinks on ASUS motherboards doesn't void your warranty

Also you could always just take off the heatsinks to paint them, then re install them later once they are dry

Taking them off was my plan. Not sure if anyone even looked at the picture of the motherboard but i actually want to pain very small pieces, is spray pain actually the way to go with that?

masking tape and spray paint will be fine, either that or maybe a brush on very detailed areas, but might have an issue with the uneven coverage with that

Taping around the letters so it does not go inbetween sounds kinda difficult

very much so, maybe look into a paint pen? that might also help with the very thin lines on the upper heat sink too

one important point with this is to be patient with it and take your time, otherwise you will screw it up and have to spend even more time wiping the paint back off
