My final rig for 4k, will it work ok?

Adam1984

So Ive been posting a fair amount of topics asking questions about various problems I may run into when upgrading my old pc. Im reserrecting it from the dead to hopefully try and game in 4k and enjoy (fingers crossed) the beauty of that on a 40inch screen at high graphics settings.

So this is my rig:

Asus p8z68-v pro

I7 2600 non k

8gb kingston hyper x ddr3

EVGA gtx 1080 superclocked (possibly, or something similar)

Psu 950 watt, need to upgrade to 80 plus

So I was wondering just as a final check, will there be any bottlenecking issues running 4k?Will there be any issues that I may have forgot?

Will I get a decent fps on high settings with this compares to the same gpu in a newer rig?

Thanks

Yes you will get decent fps.

But if you upgraded your CPU to a 6700k you would be getting even better fps.

I think with my budget i'll have to stay with what I have, its all there ready for a gpu. Will I lose quite a lot of fps in games?
