WILL A CORE 2 QUAD Q8400@2.66GHZ WORK WITH A 250 WATT PSU

hey guys i have a core 2 duo e7200 @2.53 ghz a gt 610 2gb ddr3 asus one and 4gb ddr2 kington ram   

I  HAVE  a cheap atx power supply  of 250 WATTS RATED and my system is working properly even if i overclock the cpu to 3.4 or 3.5 ghz 

i am planning to buy a refurbished core 2 quad q8400  @2.66ghz  

i want ot know whether it will work or not  i have a gigabyte ga g31m s2l motherboard lga 775 socket/t  i think it should work fine

nut i want to know from the experts i have also updated my bios to F10f of my motherboard 

 

IS 250 WATT ENOUGH CAUZE i dont have money to buy both cpu and a new psu i can jst buy the cpu
