Not very normal in my experience. But then again I have a 4790k which isn't massively more powerful or anything but I get usually around 35% usage in that game.

Graphically yes but it's not very cpu intensive.

cause Witcher 3 uses 8 cores - your CPU uses the hyperthreads making the load lower

Graphically yes but it's not very cpu intensive. 

it is - Novidgrad especially - it's punishing on quad cores and extreme on dual cores

Wondering because people were saying it's not normal and my CPU is hitting 80degrees even though its non overclocked and on an h100i. I have never had problems with temps in the 1 and half years I have had this cooler though

This is true but I wouldn't say that I should be having half as much load just because hyperthreading.

80*C on a H100i is not normal - the usage is fine but the temps are an issue

 

This is true but I wouldn't say that I should be having half as much load just because hyperthreading. 

your CPU is also slightly more potent and each hyperthread lowers core load by about 20% or so

yeah thats not normal but the usage is iffy

I suppose you are right, I didn't consider clock speed is probably only 3.5ghz and not using turbo because of the heat. And my clocks being much higher.

Of course, But say you have an i3 or a fx6300 not exactly power house cpu's and the game should still run more dependant on the gpu. From what I have seen at least. And like I said I almost get no cpu usage from that game. Much much more from bf4 and plenty of people run that fine.

Try reseating the cooler - if it's 2 years old clean it out and replace the fluid - might have gotten gunked up - this is why I hate AiOs
