Best 120/140mm Case Fans (NZXT S340)

Go to solution Solved by tomas710,

Hello all,

I'm going to be using NZXT's S340 (White) in my PC build and I am wondering what are the best fans to keep the system cool?

-Will the 2 x 120mm included fans be sufficient?

-What case fans do you recommend for good air cooling?

-How many case fans should I use?

If it helps, here is my build:

PCPartPicker part list: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/Ywv3D3

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  (£178.38 @ Amazon UK)
CPU Cooler: Phanteks PH-TC12DX_BK 68.5 CFM CPU Cooler  (£34.94 @ Scan.co.uk)
Motherboard: MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  (£86.37 @ Amazon UK)
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury White 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory  (£35.24 @ CCL Computers)
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  (£73.37 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  (£39.00 @ Amazon UK)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 390 8GB Nitro Video Card  (£259.00 @ Aria PC)
Case: NZXT S340 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case  (£55.20 @ Aria PC)
Power Supply: XFX XTR 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply  (£69.98 @ Aria PC)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM (64-bit)
Total: £831.48

All feedback is appreciated, many thanks!

I would keep the included fans and add 2 140mm on the front. The front is always somewhat restricted, mesh, filters and something hard drives caddies, so it's better to get something with decent SP. You didn't include budget so i'll leave options. Noctua NF-P14, Bitfenix Specter Pro, phanteks PH-F140MP, Cougar Vortex and AP141

This are all good fans, personally i would go with the NF-P14 or the AP141, some of them don't have PWM, but case fans rarely benefit from that since the only good PWM header is the CPU FAN header.

Just realized you're in the UK, but you can look for these fans on any UK store, they are pretty common so most of them should be available
