hard drive recovery

looking for a place that can recover data from a failed hard drive in the Vancouver area, and an approximation of price for such a service. thanks in advance

just a question, does your HDD click ? to be honest with you it's really not worth finding someone that can recover a dead HDD unless you find it really cheap, Most companies charge any were from a $1000 on up do recovery a Dead HDD :( What is sad about that is the fact that you can buy a cleaning room starting at $1500 and just fix it your self. If it makes a clicking noise it's possible that your PCB went out on you. If the HDD is not clicking then it's probably a dead sector or bad firmware. Some times this works but I quote " Not always will this work" but you can try to take the HDD and make it a slave and see if you can get into it that way to get some of the files you want back off of it. ( remember you have to have at lest 2 HDD's in order to try that. IDE HDD's were alot easier to do that way but sata is a 50/50 that you will be able to recover your data that way.
