Achieving a 4.8GHz Overclock on Rampage IV extreme with Intel i7-3930K

I have a 3970x at 4.8 on that mobo.

Heavily depends on the chip, so you may not necessarily be able to hit 4.8. Also, make sure you have a good enough cooling solution, adding voltage can increase heat by a significant amount.

Anyways, I usually go with a combination of Prime95 and IntelBurnTest, just slowly up the speeds and you'll eventually hit a limit. Settings will differ because each chip is different, so typing in settings another person got will probably cause more issues than anything.

YEp thats the one but you shouldn't just copy it because it might be unstable for you

Every chip is different, i would recommend you to try it yourself, every chip is different.
