Question about Wireless adapter card

Hi guys I builded 1 month ago my first gaming pc! Everything worked great but there's a problem... My pc is the basement because the router is here so I can connect it directly to the internet with an ethernet cable, but I want it to be in my room so I can't connect it with a cable. I've looked at those wireless adapter card and i'm not sure wich one can fit in my motherboard

Motherboard: MSI Global H81M-P33

And if those wireless adapter card can't work with my motherboard can I use an usb wireless adapter?? I mean by that is it good am I going to have a good internet connecter *My chamber is right on top of the router so i'm pretty close to it!

Thx guys :) Like every post I do sorry for my bad english it's not my natal language so I hope you understand.

I don't know that i've heard of a compatibility issue with motherboards and network adapters in recent years.

they're fairly plug-and-play, assuming you have the lane for it.

Just... No. don't do USB network adapters. They are very rarely, if ever good. consider something like powerline, it's an alternative that, for many is better than wireless.

Granted, this is the U.S. version of amazon, but i'd imagine you can find an equivalent for your country.

By the looks of it, you have 1x PCI Express x16 (blue, in the image on MSI's site, below your RAM and socket), and one PCI Express x1 (black, slightly below the x16)

The x16 is likely taken up by a GPU, if you have one.

No such thing as a stupid question. If you don't know, you ask, that's how you learn, that's what this section of the forum is for.

Yes, the smaller PCI connector is a x1. It should work. :)
