Hi guys im contemplating for a gpu upgrade.

Currently im running a 290x and a i7 4770 with 20gb ram.

im going to wait for rtx 3000 series card but let's say the most intensive game i'm playing on this res is BF1 what RTX 2000 series GPU would you guys recommend me to pair with my i7 4770?

Just want a rough gauge on which GPU to get when 3k hits.
(and i'm going on team green side because of tensor cores since im partially doing AI)

I think a 2070 super should be ok for ultra wide. I had a x34P and i had issues when going above 120 fps which on my system was almost getting a locked 200 fps in bf1 but anyway 2070 super should tide you over and not break your wallet imo

Go to this Bottleneck Calculator site:

https://pc-builds.com/calculator/

See the maximum card within your budget that doesn't bottleneck more than 5%

This would be your choice ..

For anything more, I'd recommend that you change CPU as it's a bit old .. but this would be totally different story as you'll require new motherboard & RAM as well

Don’t see it going well with a lot of cards.
Already ran flagship 10 series cards with two 4th k processors and half the maps were a bit too much. Same with other cpu intensive games.
