Asus GA502 Driver Update with new WiFi Card

I am planning to upgrade my WiFi Card in my laptop, (Intel 9260) and it seems people have had more success with downloading the drivers beforehand. I am wondering what they mean by this. Do I download and run the driver installation before putting in the card, or do I download the drivers, install the card, and then run the driver installation? Thanks!

Download the drivers before you put the new card. Swap the cards and then run the driver.
