WHAT to upgrade

Hello all.
I've been doing computer repairs since 2001.  Since 2014, I haven't done much, in fact, I've owned only laptops due to living in small rooms.

I FINALLY moved to my own apartment (subsidized, bachelor, in Toronto... that's a HUGE deal!)... so I wanted to get a desktop to go on my Ikea Ingatorp

I posted on another forum that has a Toronto base, and someone offered a trade for my laptop (Asus ROG Strix Hero III, GL531GT-BH51-CB) from BestBuy.  I paid $1,099 for it.

The parts I got from this guy are as follows ...

Case: ThermalTake Core V1 case.
MoBo:Gigabyte X570 I AORUS PRO WIFI (rev. 1.0)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 3600, with stock cooler
RAM: Team T-Force VulcanZ 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL16 Memory Kit (ORIGINALLY he gave 2x4GB 2666...sold that for $60)
GPU: Sapphire RX 570 Pulse, 4GB
PSU: Corsair AX850 80+ Gold fully modular

so did I get "totally ripped", was it a fairly even deal, or did I come out on top?

NVMe: WD Black SN750 500GB PCIe Gen3 x4 NVMe M.2 2280
SSD: HP SSD S700 2.5" 500GB SATA III 3D NAND

Peripherals:
Monitor: LG 29WK500LG, ultrawide, 2560x1980 (really thinking of selling this, to get a 32" 1920x1080 for game streaming.)

Keyboard: Logitech K800
Mouse: Logitech MX Master 3
Speakers: Logitech Z150 (2.0 $20 I use them for Youtube.)

Headphones: 1x Logitech H800 Wireless (will replace soon, as battery is pooched, they are 8 years old), and 1x Logitech G332
Others: Logitech G29 wheels/pedals/shifter

Please suggest a new video card, and possibly a new case.
I've had both less then a month, but I know they both need upgraded.  I'd like a Mini ATX or Mid-Tower case.
Something I can purchase at CanadaComputers in Scarborough or North York Canada.

Heck, maybe someone from LMG will see this, and sell me a case/gpu. hahahahaha
Thanks in advance for not being TOO harsh on an old man, who just got back into building again.

@IamAllan

Honestly, I think you are fine with the GPU you already have. I'd simply hold off until AMD releases their new RDNA 2 GPU's and call it a day. As for the case, I can only vouch for what I'm using linked below.

Definitely not a rip off, great setup, I think you're exactly right about a new case and gpu, though the gpu is plenty capable depending on the workload. For a case, I recommend the "be quiet! Dark Base 700" this case looks great and has an upgrade path up to professional style setups ie. threadrippers and high end xeon builds. For something a little bit lower spec, Ive sold a few "Phanteks P300 or P400s", they cost a fair bit less and are amazing cases to work with, I remember building my first pc where the case wasn't super low end and the switch to the mid range Phanteks P300 was like night and day. It really depends on your budget, but those are two great options for two budgets, (High and Mid).

On the GPU side of things, do you have a specific workload, do you need cuda cores from nvidia to render graphics in an optimized workload, or is gaming a priority. There are so many reasons to upgrade, and many more not too.

The only thing that you'd really want to upgrade is the GPU, and now isn't a great time to buy computer parts. I'd wait till Ampere cards come out.

Make sure to quote or tag me (@JoostinOnline) or I won't see your response!

I'm playing mostly "Sim" games - ATS, ETS2, Bus 2018, Farm 2018, Cities: Skylines etc.
My board has NO room for an internal streaming card, so waiting till people stop panic buying all the Elgato 60s... though I may try to find an Avermedia external one.

Other then that, I do remote repairs / tech support via Team Viewer of pc's and android phones. (Love the reaction I get the first time I move someone's mouse.  hahah, but I digress)

A LOT of Youtube, some FB video.  FB  games. Some Ontario Lottery / Gaming online gambling.
Just the basics, ya know?

If the 570 is enough (even at 4gb...?) I'll keep it.

These are my idle's right now ... my apartment is at around 28C (thanks landlord for keeping the 🥵🤬 heat on!!!
haha
I've noticed when I'm just muckin' around on YT watching Linus' videos, the GPU fans turn off.  I NEVER had that with my 4750 in 2014!!!
Also, the lil fan on the chipset/NVME turns off too.  All in all, this case is QUIET for it's microscopic size, and I THINK I did a good job w/ cable management.

Thank you three.  Apologies for the grumpy second reply I made up there.

Both those cases look nice.  HUGE but nice.  I'll look into some more BeQueit cases as I've hear (or not ;) ) that they are good and well, quiet.
