BSOD when downloading KB4549951 update

Well, i get random BSODs when updating and after updating to the newest update, the error is PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, have you been getting the same error?

Uninstall that update. I have not seen any issues on that update yet and personally I wait for a week or more usually for those news articles to be published. Unless it is a super important update, that is.

 

The latest update does update the windows kernel, which is kind of risky with windows in general. I'd try removing the update first. If you really need it now, do the update without any overclock and make sure no nasty malware (rgb tools, chat stuff, data mining or logging tools etc.) is running in the background. You can download the update also manually and then install it offline if you want.

Seems like a good ides to remove the update... i don't really need it, on reddit some other people had a similar problem, so it seems to be Microsofts usual thing

Usually is, most updates are broken these days, some more than others. I'd give it a month or so and then check again. Also with the human malware around, I'd bet Microsoft has reduced it's staff size so checking for issues with it will come down to the community reporting them.

well at the end of the day I decided to upgrade to the windows 10 2004 preview
