Monitor Not Working with 144hz

Kayleee

Plz help, I have a RX 580 & an Asus VG248QE and after I woke up today my monitor refuses to accept signal from displayport and just flashes no signal, but works with HDMI and when DVI is plugged in if I go to change to 144hz in windows display adapter properties it says I'm not using a dual link DVI cable even though I know I am, and it shows static and then windows resets it to 60hz and it's fine.

Tried:

DDU With Latest and Old drivers

Running Ubuntu (doesn't even show a display in bios)

Monitor and cable work with 144hz on another PC in the house

Other Specs

Windows 10 Pro 64 bit

Ryzen 7 1700x

16gb Ram

ASUS B350-F Gaming Motherboard

Corsair CX600

Yep I tried a brand new one I bought today and it's the same issue, both the new and old had success running 144hz on an old PC I have laying around.

Seems to be a Linux issue.  Or it doesn't let you in Linux and Windows ?

It’s possible that dp port on gpu went bad. Any chance you can test the monitor on different pc? Or this card on different monitor using dp

Nice post chief.  Well doesn't his video card have other DP ports try those try changing cable and or:  Change it to another PCIe slot on your board.
