Looking to upgrade my box.

Hi, I'm new here and wondering what video card or other low priced upgrades I could do to my box, I have a total budget of $200.

My specs,

CPU:        amd fx-6350

Graphic:   GTX750Ti

Ram:        2X 8gb ddr3 pc3-10700 (gskill) 2x 4GB ddr3 pc3 12800 (gskill)

MB:          Gigabyte 970a-dp3 AM3+

750 watt psu, but can have access to up to an 800 watt

I'm thinking either updating the graphics card or CUP, leaning twards the GC since it's the bottle neck. I know my RAM is throttled to the slower pair but DDR3 is a bit pricy and I'm fine with the slower speeds, I'm not looking for miracles but I would like to run Cities Skylines with some decent settings and Fallout: New Vegas On ultra if possible.

Thank you very much.

You're in a situation here where, with your budget, I don't think there's a great choice for you.

$200 is really stretching what you can consider an upgrade for a CPU as you're looking at a CPU, motherboard, and RAM, fitting a meaningful upgrade in at that price is difficult on a very, very good day.

A 1650 Super is going to be the best card you'll be able to pick up under budget, 1660 if you're willing to go a little over, however I feel that they'll be held back by your 6350. It's a very dated platform (consider that it was obsolete when it launched, then consider it's age at this point).

My best recommendation for you would be to save up, hold your money for the time being, and upgrade yourself to a complete new system.

with 200 dollar budget not happening. Your cpu is old and its the weakest part of your build. You could buy rx 580 or gtx 1650 super, but it wont deliver much more performance since your cpu is holding you back

Buy 1650 super or rx 580.

OR

buy ryzen 5 1600af. 16gb of 3200mhz memory and motherboard

you do realise that OP is referring to fallout new vegas and not 76, right?

Thank you, I bookmarked the price picker, and that sounds like a fairly decent upgrade if I can't find used parts cheaper.

You're better off upgrading the 750ti to an rx 580 than going with that, your CPU will bottleneck but it'll still perform much better than the 750ti ever will.
