Hard drive not showing in BIOS

DVAShun

I purchased a used Mobo/CPU/Hard drive from the same guy. The cables are brand new and I used 3 cables and inserted all correctly but all show no bios.

History:

The CPU was completely dead

The Motherboard was dead

I have no faith this Hitachi Ultrastar 1TB will work

It is in Sata Port 1. I replugged in everything

am I missing something or is the HDD done?

if you hear a sound on the hard drive when turning the pc on, then it might be a faulty sata cable, if no sound, then the hdd might be dead.

Another scam from that guy. That was the final thing I got from him. $300 scam. I shouldve been more careful. I told this kid that it was my first build and he took advantage of me. Why would you scam someone who lives in the same town?

Okay, so I have read and first thing the hard drive may be unpartitioned which makes it not show in bios or in explorer if it is possible to boot the pc from a windows installation media since that should let u partition it. if not maybe try booting into windows from some device and go to disk manager

Reminder⚠️

I'm just speaking from experience so what I say may not work 100%

Please try searching up the answer before you post here but I am always glad to help
