How to change Windows Mail Icon Design?

Hip

Hey guys

does anyone know how to change back the design of the Mail Icon to the old monotone one?

The new one does not fit in the rest of the UI.

Thanks in advance!

All the icons will change to this design. The icons will be released in waves.

Coming up next (maybe additional ones will come in between now and April when the next version of Windows 10 (v: 2004) will be released):

  • Groove
  • Movies & TV
  • Calculator (possibly with the graphing feature)
  • Microsoft Emulator
  • Office app
  • Your Phone
  • News
  • Alarms & Clock
  • Feedback Hub
  • Photos
  • Voice Recorder

Already released ones:

  • Mail
  • Calendar
  • Edge (I mean, the new Edge web browser based on Chormium)
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, OneNote, and more
  • Windows Terminal
  • OneDrive

I agree that the icons looks a bit strange now, especially with the background square that the start menu puts behind. But it fits Windows 10X (coming end of the year for foldable and dual screen PCs, not for laptops or desktops if no delays). Leaks suggests that Microsoft is looking in reworking the Start menu in Windows 10 (non-X), which also includes dropping Live Tiles like they have done so on Windows 10X. If true, you are looking at the very least end of the year before it is released.

They should let us to choose which icon design we want. I don't like the new design at all. It looks like iOS design from 2010.
