Under $400 Work/Light Gaming Laptop

I am looking for recommendations for a sub $400 laptop used for work and light gaming (hopefully able to play something like POE).

Looks like you can get at least 8gb w/ 256gb ssd, but I am not that familiar with lower end cpu/gpu's

One thing I did see on here was a recommendation to wait a few months until AMD 4000 series comes out in a few months

Any thoughts/recommendations?

thanks

Hi, i believe that may be too low of a budget for those specs but, what you are basically looking for is a 10th Gen Core i3-1005G1 laptop since they have the improved iris graphics. I could not find any specific model in the budget but you could go for https://www.amazon.com/Dell-Inspiron-15-5593-i5-1035G1/dp/B0826DJYG1/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=DELL+Inspiron+5593+15.6-inch+Laptop&qid=1579443089&sr=8-3

It fits your exact requirements but is above your budget at 612$.
Note: You may be able to get a cheaper for the same CPU with 4gb ram from hp/dell. Since you are buying an i3 with no dedicated gpu, you could go for the 4 gb with a expandable slot and upgrade in the future since sometimes the price difference for lower ram models can be considerable

To clarify, this would not be a primary computer, only something used on business trips. Games, such as the mentioned POE, would only need to be playable. Hopefully that makes a difference

Depends on the kind of experience you call playable, the U series chips are made for long battery like over performace, you could go for those
