What is your budget? What games will you be running?

I can't help you buy something if you don't list a budget or intended use.

I can't help you troubleshoot if you don't list your specs/config.

P.S. Pictures usually help.

What do you recommend for a monitor then ?

I cannot recommend a monitor because there are none in your price point.

If you're going ultrawide I'd recommend 3440x1440, however you'd need to double your budget.  I'd wait and save.

Ok, will the 980 ti be able to handle that ?

Is there one that isn't a ultrawide monitor that i would benefit from in that price range or wait ?

What's your definition of handle?

What graphic lvl and frame rate are you hoping to achieve.

it was either a graphics card and monitor upgrade or i was going to get a moderately priced gaming laptop with a 1660 ti card with a 1080p 144hrz display. This is still up in the air, as to not purchasing till about three weeks from now.
