cheap £200-400 starter pc/ hp pavilion 15 i7 laptop upgrades?

hey sorry if this is annoying or anything just here as i need some advice on building a small factor gaming pc or modifying my current hp pavilion i7 15 laptop such as adding ram or swapping out the existing graphics card for a better one also hoping to build the small factor gaming pc for anywhere between £250-430 pounds

430 pounds is doable. Anything less than that is a no no.

Almost all Laptops do not have upgrade able GPUs.  Just a heads up.

You might want to check out a used i7 on whatever web platform exists in your area. (Gumtree?)  I just found an i7 4790K with 8GB RAM for 250 freedom dollars. That's a 4Ghz. quad core with hyperthreading. It was pictured next to a new Ryzen motherboard box.  There are a LOT of people upgrading to Ryzen right now so there are bargains to be found in Intel components. I will have two "spare" units here in my home in a week or so.

 

Then spend your cash on the best video card you can afford.
