Mom needs laptop for schooling

My mom needs a new laptop for when she goes back to work on getting her accounting degree. She will be doing this from home. What is a decent laptop or what are things that are necessary so she has a decent experience.

Used Thinkpad. X-series if she wants something small but relatively thicc, T(s)-series if she wants something bigger and, with the TS, thinner, and an X1(C) if she wants an Ultrabook.

I’d buy used if your on a budget as you usually get a better laptop for the price. Check out my post on my daily driver I got used recently for inspiration.
