2.5" 860 evo or m.2 nvme sx8200 pro? (1TB)

Hi,

I plan on upgrading my 500gb 850 evo to a 1tb ssd. To my extreme dismay, the prices I paid for my unit is now equivalent to a 1tb sku, and I paid around 170-180 usd. image.gif.704b3cdc2592704e0dc7f57e524125ad.gif

Now I am choosing between a 2.5" sata 860 evo for 173 usd vs the m.2 nvme sx8200 for 157 usd.

I know samsung's 2.5" evo speeds can match even some nvme drives. But I do know that the sx8200 is not one of the bad ones.

So Which one do I go for, and why?

Hoping to gain some insight,

Thanks!

NVME drive are significantly faster only in very large files transfers, pretty much same in os .

and the 860evo you get is mostly overpriced..
