What should I upgrade?

My current rig:

 

CPU= i5 6402p

MB= H110m-k

Ram= 16 GB

HDD= 2TB

SSD= 120 GB

GPU= 1060 3GB

PSU= 500W Antec Bronze

Monitor= LG 75Hz 21.5 inch 1080p

 

I mostly played games at 1080p. My brother sometimes do video rendering. Now I thought, I should update my rig mostly for future prof both in terms of gaming and rendering. What should I upgrade regardless of budget issue?

Thr CPU and board. Obviously faster CPU helps with rendering, and higher frequency than the 6402p also helps with gaming. In terms of fps in low settings anyway

Desktop benching:

Cinebench R15 Single thread:168 Multi-thread: 833 

SuperPi (v1.5 from Techpowerup, PI value output) 16K: 0.100s 1M: 8.255s 32M: 7m 45.93s

Should I use 2400mhz ram with ryzen cpu for the time being?

Depends what you want out of the system.
Its not that bad. But if you want more you can upgrade CPU and GPU. (Maybe then also need to upgrade PSU)
But if budget isnt a problem just give this pc to your brother and build a new R3600 system with 4200Mhz 3200Mhz RAM and 5700X. ?

 

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!

That's fine. You could try overclocking your current sticks first
