How is the 2070 a ‘bad’ card when his is overheating - most probably due to being a faulty card. Could happen to any card really.

if you are speaking about ‘bad value’ well, for some it’s worth the money for some it isn’t.

but OP had a post about this 2 days ago and at that point temps were 50c idle. Now 100 under load? Definitely faulty card.

solution = RMA the card

How do you know its at 100°C under load now? The OP doesn't give away anything.

Forget what I said, I read all the time 100c ??

i would suggest that OP puts settings on high and see what happens then. Also what resolution you game on?

A 1070? I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s a step back in performance.

less than a month new Navi cards, RTX ‘super’ cards coming out.

Yes i I can help you

@Stormseeker9 I just wanted an upgrade from a 1050ti to something which I can play medium settings as I play competitively so graphics means only a little to me. I was going to go for the GTX 1070 and wish I did but the RTX 2070's price was only 100 more so I thought why not. I play games like Rust, Fortnite, CSGO and will be streaming these titles to so this GPU should be more then capable to produce 144fps on low to medium as well as give me least 3 years of decent gaming experience. For the refund I was immediately given a refund I think because of my years of Amazon Prime and manage to afford a new Keyboard too which is an upgrade to the broken one I currently have to its not at all a downgrade for me and I wouldn't play Ultra as its just not how I play, Competitive settings only which normal consists of low to maybe one setting high.

Now for my question I brought the Zotac GTX 1070 AMP! are the temps good will it last for the next 3 years (if not faulty) with upcoming AAA titles and still average 100fps.

(Bit long so if you read this cheers)

Getting the gpu next friday (ordered already)

@xReqt

not familiar with the 1070 so much, so not sure. I think for medium settings it should be fine tho for a couple years I suppose... not knowing what new games will demand haha
