Ultrawide or regular 1440p

celerystruct

I'm trying to decide between an ultra wide monitor and a regular monitor at 1440p 80+hz with IPS panel.

For the regular monitor I'm looking at this I can get one at my local store for a discount, not much by like $20-$25 off.

For ultra wide I'd like a IPS monitor with 1440p resolution and higher than 60hz, preferably at least 75hz. I was looking at something like this but it only has 60hz. The other monitors that I've found that are IPS panel and 1440p with refresh rates higher than 60hz were more expensive.

I've also seen stuff like and this this but it's a VA panel

My budget would be around $500 with a hard cap on $600.

My relevant specs

CPU: Ryzen 2700x

GPU: RX590

Edit:

Mostly play single player games like Dark Souls, Sekiro, and Witcher 3.

Was thinking of Borderlands due to current sale and cause my friends are all getting back into it to prepare for borderlands 3.

I personally prefer 1440p

I own that same monitor you're looking at (I love it)

Ultrawide is not great for all games, so I wouldn't get it

Are you referring to this monitor?

Also I mostly only play single player games like dark souls, sekiro, and witcher 3 and the like.

Yes. I play only single player games on mine, minus TF2
