Unable to set up Huawei E8372 USB LTE dongle

I just bought one of these dongles (new, sealed).

 

I entered 192.168.8.1 into the address bar and it forwards me to http://192.168.8.1/html/quicksetup.html

 

I am presented with this dialog:

There's nothing I can enter into here, so I click Cancel and I'm presented with the following screen:

No matter what I type into the box (I've tried 'Peugeot 308' and 'Test123456789', clicking Next does nothing. No messages, no progression onto Step 2 of 3, nothing.

 

I've tried factory resetting it with a paperclip - no change/difference.

 

Any ideas?

 

EDIT: I entered admin/admin on the Log In dialog and it worked.
