Can My 1060 6GB Handle Triple Monitors? (x1 144hz, x2 75hz)

smilevi

I currently have a 144hz & a 60hz & I plan on upgrading. (aka buying x2 75hz as secondaries) The monitors I have currently (144hz + 60hz) run games perfectly fine. 144HZ is on DVI-D & 60HZ is on HDMI. I No stutters, black screens, cutouts, etc. aside from when my DVI-D cable gets loose since it is broken, but other than that, it's perfectly fine. These two are currently running on a 1060 6GB & I wanted to upgrade my GPU on the way, but I am currently on the hunt for monitors.
So I was wondering, will my 6GB 1060 beable to handle x1 144HZ & x2 75HZ monitors without issues? I will list specs & tell the rest afterwards

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600

GPU: Gigabyte GeForce 1060 6GB

MOTHERBOARD: ASUS Prime A320M-K AM4

RAM: 16GB DDR4

SSD+HDD: 240GB SSD + 1TB HDD

PSU: 500WATTS BRONZE

So these are my current Specs in my PC. None overclocked, so all default.

So I was wondering before I upgrade my GPU to like a GTX 1660 Ti, 1070, 1080 Ti, RTX 2070 or something like that, will my be 1060 6GB beable to run all those monitors fine? (x1 144hz, x2 75hz)

Everything w/ these current monitors & specs are fine. None blown, broke, etc. Everything in perfect condition.
I plan on giving my current 60HZ monitor to my other setup since it has my old PC. So I will be running a triple monitor setup on my current one I'm using currently.

Just one issue, I don't know how to use the cables. Like what I mean is "which one should go in the 144hz? what should go in my other two 75hz?"

My 1060 has an HDMI slot, 3 DP slots & a DVI-D slot. I don't plan on plugging into my motherboard because the last time I did that, it didn't end well.. So if you guys could help, I need help for which one to use for which.

Know I should've done this earlier, but I plan on using 144HZ for gaming, productivity, etc.

75HZ #1 - Streamlabs OBS, discord, spotify, etc. You get it, my streaming applications.

& lastly, 75HZ #2 - Other applications like MSI Afterburner, game launchers, chrome, etc. So basically a free monitor for anything I need to do.

So yes, they all have a purpose. Not just me going around buying monitors and hooking them up like i'm rich af.

Soon though, I plan on upgrading my GPU & my 144HZ to maybe a 240HZ for the best out of my PC & monitors.

If this GPU can handle these 3 specific ones I want (x1 144hz, x2 75hz), then future GPUs would work I WOULD ASSUME.

That's all I need help for. Will my GPU be able to handle the three? What type of 75HZ monitors should I get? (try to keep it ASUS, but not the VG245H because on amazon, I could only buy one per customer) What GPU should I upgrade to? (keep it under $800 CAD if possible) & that's basically all.

Thanks for all the responses :)

EDIT: If you guys know any 75hz or upper monitors that can overclock to maybe 144hz (sounds like alot, dont even know if its possible), please let me know so I'd buy three of those and have them all match (i have OCD, yes)

Adding more displays should be fine.  Keep in mind you're running a game at the same resolution anyway, so adding more displays shouldn't cause any loss in performance unless of course your running games across multiple displays.  I have a laptop with an RX480 eGPU running to 3 monitors and keeping the internal display on with no issues and absolutely love triple monitor setups.  I recommend getting 3 of the same monitors if possible because of colour reproduction but it really isn't that big of a deal unless your running games in surround across multiple displays.  I have an Asus VG248QE (144hz) and 2 dell SE2417HGR (60hz) on each side and use the left one for discord and right for youtube, music players, task manager, afterburner, etc. and the only upgrade I would do is replacing the dells with more VG248QEs because making everything 144hz would be insane but obviously costs way more :/.  As for overclocking monitors I've heard of stories of people overclocking 60hz displays to 90 or even 100+hz but I've never had anywhere near that, one of my dell 60hz displays can do 70hz and one can do 65hz but thats it. I doubt you could get a 75hz monitor to anywhere past 85-90hz but you might be able to get a 120hz to 130 or 135 or maybe even push it to 144.  if you want to stay Asus you can get 2 VG248QZ for $200 each they are 144hz 1080p displays, the other option is 2 VG245HE for $170 each but they are only 75 and IMO the extra $30 each is worth it for the 144hz smoothness.
VG248QZ: https://www.amazon.com/VG245HE-Console-Monitor-FreeSync-Adaptive/dp/B07MSB4X9G/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=vg245he&qid=1555634552&s=gateway&sr=8-1&th=1
VG245HE: the link above is the same, just click the 'Full HD 75hz' button on the listing
edit: amazon links broke

Ok, Ill look on amazon.ca, it's weird that it only lets you buy 1 though as I could add 2 to my cart just fine (obvisouly im not going to buy them but it doesn't say 1 per customer anywhere on the US site :/) What is your main 144hz monitor now?

@Mnky313My current 144hz is the ASUS MG248QR. Apparently, amazon.CA ASUS only allows 1 per customer?

EDIT: also, you know any good USB hubs? Preferably more than 5 USB 3.0s

Ok, do the other monitors have to be asus?  Dell makes a 24 inch 144hz monitor for $235 CAD (though it technically is only 120hz but overclocks to 144hz according to dell) from what ive seen the colour reproduction is alright but it's a TN panel just like your asus so it's not going to have great colours.  It also has a USB 3 passthough (if that interests you)

To answer your question, it doesnt have to be ASUS. But do you know what type of mount this is?
(I need 100m by 100m, VESA-mount)
EDIT: 75m by 75m is already as well.

It appears that yes, it uses 100 x 100 mm  VESA mount (this is from displayspecifications.com because dell's site just says 'Vesa mount: Yes' :/

Alright, so it would fit my mount. Lit! Thanks! ❤️

Also, quick question:

Which one's should I plug into what? (talking about dp, dvi-d & hdmi)
Should my main keep as DVI-D, change to HDMI, DVI-D, etc?
Secondaries to..?

I have x1 DVI-D, x1 HDMI (technically two because motherboard but it never seems to work out), & x3 DP

honestly IMO I would just use DP on all of them, the dells only have HDMI and DP, and IDK if Freesync works on HDMI and if your GPU has 3 displayport there's no reason not to. (I know your on an nVidia GPU but Freesync now works on nVidia cards so why not try it and see if your display work well with it.)

Alright, I have another problem though. If the Dell(s) don't come with a DP cable, which ones should I buy? I'm assuming DP cables are like HDMI (3.0, etc.)
Because I only plan on buying two and keeping my current MG248QR, but the DP cable it came with only handles 60HZ, not the full 144HZ..

Not an expert w/ cables or whatever.

ALSO, if the Dell(s) come with DP cables, should I keep my current monitor (MG248QR) w/ DVI-D or buy an extra cable (dp) & have all 3?
(dvi-d is currently going well, nothing broken or anything aside from the dvi-d cable being loose but yeah, its in perfect condition.)

The dells come with HDMI cables according to dell.com (and a USB 3.0 a to b) as for that displayport cable only doing 60hz that is extremely odd, I've never seen a DP cable limit the refresh rate, usually its one of the ports maybe it's just a faulty cable... I have some generic bestbuy cable driving my 144hz display with no issues (I would give you a brand but it literally just had the DP logo on it so idk...) any DP 1.2 or higher cable should work just fine (I would say just get some amazon basics ones) if you have DVI on your middle monitor and it's working fine there's no reason to replace it with DP (amazon link: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01J8S6X2I/ref=twister_B07FLQYMWK?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1)
