Logitech g430 not working

I got a headset from logitech, and i think its the g430 one. I dont have the box or anything since i got it from my brother. Well i tried to install the logitech g430 update but when i came into the installation it told me to plug in the headset to get to the next step. But my headset is plugged in and its working fine, im even listening to spotify! I tried to update the drivers thru device manager but windows told me i already had the best drivers installed.. I dont know what to do? Do i even need the "g430 update" for it?
