I’m writing a essay about cryptocurrency and how it’s good and bad, can you all help a brother out and jot down some pros and cons?

 

ALSO SOME BACKGROUND INFORMATION ABOUT IT TOO, THANKS!!!

pro's

• it's anonymous
• it's cheap
• you can make a nice profit on buying them
• it's safe
• there's no middle man
• it's hard to impossible to remake

cons

• you can do shady stuff with it
• it's not government checked
• unstable, so you can lose a lot of money on it
• the energy cost for hashing is still too much

Can you give me a little background information you’d think would be good to add? I’m very familiar with crypto and how it works but I wanna make sure I include everything, seems like everyone in my class is very confused about it and they think it’s only use is to buy child pornography.

it's not... but it's well known by now it is used for many things, legal or not

 

I think it's all good to add, but you'll have to do some research to make it a full presentation

ah okay... then i suggest you research those parts anyways, so you can get your own view on it

I’m trying to mention everything, the impact of mining, the electricity it uses, the good and bad uses of it (investing, using bitcoin to buy drugs online etc etc)

mention positive things too

 

look at it from multiple sides, and don't mention titles, make it a bit of a story

 

that's my general tip for things like this
