Xenialpup 7.5 WiFi Atheros Problem

So i have an old ancient laptop with bad specs, and i flashed xenialpup on my usb drive to boot. But i figured out the WiFi doesn't work, then i saw some people downloading drivers for atheros chipsets but no luck since i have an error when trying to install the driver. Anyone got any ideas?

you may have luck with xubuntu and lubuntu instead, they got more drivers in their kernel preinstalled
