Help Troubleshooting Browser Problems or find better browser

Necromonger

I had previously been using Chrome since it's early days. It was a great browser, but recently I started having issues with it and only when watching YouTube.

The tab I was using for YouTube kept crashing(not the browser itself, just the tab). This kept happening consistently after the recent UI changes. Chrome ended up telling me that the problem may be with Adblock and recommended uninstalling it. I ultimately uninstalled Chrome and switched back to Firefox, my default browser before Chrome.

I've run into another problem with Firefox. It uses up too much CPU power at random times. And it's done this too many times to be some kind of bug. My CPU usage will randomly start spiking up going all the way up to 86-90% until my whole system bricks and freezes. I've ran Virus scans before with Malware Bytes and never seem to hit anything. It is so bad that I can't even open Task Manager because of the CPU usage.

So I need help, either figuring out what's up or finding another lighter browser. I'm almost about to switch to Edge/Internet Explorer or dare I say, Safari.

But Edge only works on Windows and Safari only works on Mac ? (unless you use the craptastic Windows port from 2010)

Either way, you could look into Opera, Vivaldi, Pale Moon, Sea Monkey, Basilisk, Maxthon, or any of the other plethora of browsers out there. Though if I'm honest I wouldn't recommend bothering with any other than the first three in this list unless you find that none of them work either.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What about Chromium? I've heard that one is good too. Though all I know is that people claim its good. Is it good?
