Please help. There must be a way to let discord properly use my available upload speed to properly screen share. I have changed some settings in discord. I have discord nitro to allow me to set any stream quality and FPS, but no matter what it will fluctuate wildly. I'll see Best ~7Mb/s upload and Worst <1Mb/s. Nothing else will be using the Upload at that time. My upload can be up to ~20Mb/s based on speed tests, I would love to have a setting or something inside the app that sets the target upload speed in kB/s so that I can stop the complaints of broken sound or black and white blurs

So I've noticed a pattern of people having this same issue, but finding info seems to be few and far between, so I figured I would give it a shot. 1gb/1gb Fiber Router is a TP-Link r600VPN (v4 (This is important)) which has a WAN <-> LAN throughput of 680/420 (It can actually max out higher than that on the latest firmware, but that is about what you should expect to get out of it Network is wired for 10gb with cat6 (however I can't afford 10gb equipment so it's all 1gb atm) Custom Domain with SSL Cert. All traffic routed through SSL. Internal lan speeds are 1gb as one would expect Mirrored Raid using 2 Seagate Ironwolf 4TB CMR drives (5400rpm) I'm not sure what the deal is, because the device can obviously serve files at 1gb via lan, both through SMB and via Drive link. I've found various articles that claim to have solved the issue, but I've never found anything substantive that helped. Quick relay is off Ensure direct connection is possible between peers (forward and firewall ports that Drive needs). This has been done. This is not a new install. Everything has been indexed and for the most part the NAS sits idle for 99% of the day. Just when I need to edit a file or something or add a file, etc. Not that it matters, but all the data is backed up weekly to an amazon glacier vault. If I connect to a different machine on the network from the outside world, the transfer speed will hit nearly 400 So one of the big reasons for going my own NAS route was that frankly google has become ever more crap, and I'm tired of so much of my info being tied up in a single service; it's universally stupid. So with that in mind, when I share files with friends that may be 100mb, or 1gb (or more), I expect the NAS to use all available bandwidth. The current ports that are forwarded are as below. Did I miss something? I was using the table on Synology's site (edit which I can't find now that I haven't looked for it in ages, but I did find this: https://mariushosting.com/what-network-ports-are-used-by-synology-services/ ). 9 Synology WAN1 5000-5001 5000-5001 192.168.0.7 ALL Enabled 10 SynologyLinkSharing1 WAN1 80 80 192.168.0.7 ALL Enabled 11 SynologyLinkSharing2 WAN1 443 443 192.168.0.7 ALL Enabled 12 SynologyDriveClient WAN1 6690 6690 192.168.0.7 ALL Enabled

Okay so as crazy as it sounds, high speed WiFi is kinda new to me so bear with me here. My roommate and I have the exact same PCIe WiFi card as we unfortunately cannot use ethernet connections at our new house . Specifically its the TP-Link AX3000 (Archer TX50E). Our ISP is AT&T, and we are signed up for the 1,000 plan. Our connection is a symmetrical fiber optic connection, so our download and upload speeds should be roughly the same from what I understand. I am getting about around about 600-700 down (not the full speed but its WiFi so I obviously expected that), and about 500-600 up. This is completely acceptable for me. However, my roommate is getting around 400-600 down, and about 10-20 up. On his end its acting like a cable connection rather than a fiber connection. Again, we have the exact same card. Here is his speedtest: And here is mine: He has contacted TP Link about this and we have been through the ringer trying their troubleshooting. I had myself convinced he got a faulty card, but then we decided to switch them out and see if my PC suffered the same upload. To our surprise, it didn't. Which would lead me to believe that its something to do with his PC that's causing the slow upload, but I cannot for the life of me figure out what it might be. His motherboard is the B450-F Asus ROG, which has gigabit LAN, but I didn't even think a mobo would even matter here as it's a WiFi connection. We disabled his firewall already, and that boosted the speed, but only by about 2-5 mbps. I can provide any additional information as needed. Before anyone asks, yes the drivers are up to date, and I have uninstalled them and re-installed them several times at this point. We have also tried resetting our internet connection several times.

Hello! I have an issue for some time now. The internet is pretty unstable ( wifi or ethernet ). I have contacted my internet provider, changed the router and still the issue persists. Before this swap, the internet in general was trash, even when I run optical fiber (100Mbps). Pages wouldn't load, any games where unplayable due to the lag, and many times I wouldn't have internet at all. Now, the idle ping is okay, download speed is a bit high but upload ping is through the roof. I have seen numbers among 1600ms territory when its peaking. I can't find out why this is happening and how I can fix it. Does anyone have any tips? Thank you in advance.

Downloading Borderlands on my 250 down 10 up . -
When I download on steam specifically on my PC I get download speeds that rarely exceed 15mbps. Any other device on my network can download consistently around 350mbps. My PC previously could download at these speeds and I have made no changes. The only other thing I can think to try is re installing steam, but I am worried it will mess with my games files I will attach a screenshot so you can see the speed in which I'm downloading Troubleshooting tried My PC is idle Nothing is running in the background It is happening if i change my download location to another drive Happens when I download a different game It is not happening on my laptop over wifi or my other PC over lan (this is when downloading exactly the same game too) I have cleared the steam cache removed any limitations and applied limitations Changed server download location Tried removing data limitation in windows I also get consistently high download speeds on other applications on the same device. Meaning it is only steam on this one PC.

I wonder if google are throttling upload speed of all clients so that they have a better control over their bandwidth? I usually find myself uploading to google with 2-3 times slower upload speeds than the ones I get from my ISP (as tested in multiple speedtest sites and different servers on each one). At what speed do you guys get to upload to google drive? Wonder if my i-net is the bottleneck or google's service.

I have an ASUS Network card and I can get up to 47Mbits on download speed but however I only can upload to 2Mbits from my PC. When I run tests on other devices I get around 18Mbits. Does anyone know why this may be?

Hi! So, im currently trying to learn the ins and outs of Unity. My purpose is to make a game. I've got a good idea of what the game is going to be, and will take many months to actually work on and finish. I was thinking of going through the trouble and putting it up on Steam if it meets my expectations, which it should. Obviously it'll be for free. My question is this: im using several soundtracks from the old Command and Conquer series, will my upload to Steam be rejected since im using music that's not technically created by me? My initial thoughts is no since im not profiting from any of it. Maybe ill have to credit it. don't know.

Hello everyone, i am experiencing slow(er) Speeds when connected to PIA VPN. They advertise "no bandwidth limitations", but as soon as i connect my 1Gbps Connection is getting choked to max 200-250 Mbps download. My normal 50Mbps upload rate doesn't change however. I have already played around with the encryption and other settings and applied the PIA recommended settings for the fastest performance out of their FAQ. The only thing these settings really change for me is the ping, not the download or upload rate. Seems there is indeed a bandwidth limit happening here?! Real bummer, because thats one of the main reasons i went for them. Altough i found out about a few other nice-to-haves in the settings.

I was hoping someone could assist me. TLDR: My Samsung TV has slower download speeds and much faster upload speeds over my WiFi in the bedroom. A year ago, I moved into a new small place with my partner. We bought all new TVs, one of which was a Samsung UA49RU7100 for the downstairs bedroom. It is connected to our router via WiFi. It is an Asus RT-AC88U. The router is upstairs in the loft area. We chose upstairs as that is where I have my PC connected via Ethernet. Our internet is a 100/100 fibre line for reference. For months the TV worked perfectly. We could stream Netflix at 4K and it streamed off my Plex server (my gaming PC) without issues. However, a few months ago it turned to trash. Netflix would sometimes go down to something out of 1985 and my Plex streaming would buffer to the point that nothing was watchable. I performed a speed test on the TV and it gets 3mb down, but over 40mb up. Sometimes the download speed drops to 0.2mb, while the upload can reach 50mb. Ping is never more than 7ms to local servers. I have changed nothing on my network. What is weird is sometimes the speed is okay and other times it is so slow that Netflix doesn't even load images. And it has never gotten back to the original speeds. Unfortunately I never did a speed test when it was working fine originally. What boggles me is the fact that the upload speeds are so high. It is not as high as my internet speed, but I can understand that due to some WiFi loss between the router on the 1st floor and the TV downstairs. The firmware on my TV and on the router are up to date. I have tried disabling QoS, the firewall and all forms of power saving on both devices. Still nothing. I even tried to put aluminium foil around the router to try and bounce as much of the signal downstairs. It did nothing. Opening the windows for some reason improves the speed by like 1mbps. Everything else in the house that connects to the WiFi works at full speed. We have another LG TV upstairs and it works perfectly. I even put my phone against the TV in the same area and did a speed test. It gets the full 100/100 results. It is only connected to 2.4Ghz as the 5Ghz signal doesn't reach the TV. Even my phone gets a weak signal on 5Ghz in that area. I found this post which is almost exactly what we are experiencing, but I do not want to disable WMM as that will affect everything else in the house. My router doesn't even allow me to disable it without using legacy mode WiFi. The floor is concrete, but the distance is around 2 meters between the router and the TV. And since the upload speed is so good, there has to be something else slowing my download speed of this TV. Any assistance would be appreciated. I have spent months trying to fix this with no solution. I have attached pictures of a rough floor plan to illustrate the physical layout. The loft is right above the bedroom. If nothing works, I am looking to either get a powerline adapter or get a commercial WiFi AP from Ubiquiti. Hoping not to spend money.

Help me with what my render settings should be for upload to YouTube. Want to upload 1080p 60fps gameplay footage to YouTube , i have Premiere , what should be my export settings ?

Hello, I noticed when I did a speed test or streamed, my pc upload only went to 1,7 mb/s. (LAN connection). On my phone though trough wlan on the same network it goes up arround 3 mb/s stable... Any ideas?

Why do these results end up so diffrent? I'm paying for a 100mbs upload and download. The diffrence is pretty big, I tryed testing on my laptop aswell on the wifi and got 3 Mbps in testmy and about 50 mb/s in speedtest. My friend tested his aswell and had about the same on speed test and 6mbps on testmy. Our computers are wired to the router, and the laptop is using the wifi. So the real question is why do I end up with a much lower upload on Testmy than my laptop and my friends computer?

I am currently creating a free games in c#, and i was just wondering if there was a free service you could upload it to for people to play.
-
so i previously had around 20mbps download, 4mbps upload and around 40ms ping and this ran games like world of tanks and call of duty very smoothly. however recently something has happened to my ISP and now i get only around 5mbps download and 0.5mbps upload with the ping sometimes going to low as 15ms. i want to know if that bad upload speed is going to affect my gameplay and will it be able to run battlefield 1 as im planning to buy this game probably end of this month.

HELP!! I cannot upload to any site associated with google from my home network. It has been occurring for about a week now and I cannot figure this out. I did not change anything about my home network recently, but all of a sudden my uploads to YouTube get hung up at 0% uploaded and anything I send to Google Drive says it will take 45+ days to upload. I tore down my whole network and plugged my computer directly into the modem to eliminate the home network/routers/WAPs as the culprit, but still doesn't want to upload. My speed tests all come back fine with 60down and 10up and I can upload to other sites (facebook, dropbox, etc...). I spent 4 hours with my ISP tech support on the phone trying to diagnose the problem, but could not figure out what is causing the blockage. Is there something that I could have done to my computer that stops upload traffic from reaching a google site? I tried multiple computers (Macbook Pro, iMac late 2015, IBM thinkpad), but all yield the same result. I tried multiple browsers and reset the modem each time, but nothing. I have no idea how this is happening. Any bit of help or guidance would be much appreciated. I don't know much about networking, especially since I just switch to Apple Products after using PCs my whole life, so I can't deduce if I have a weird proxy setting on or a VPN/Firewall in the background that blocks just Google. But I figure that going straight to the modem and bypassing the home network would solve those issues, even if they did exist. Please help. Thanks.

I have the Extreme 150 package and on speedtest.xfinity.com I get about 170 Down and ~13 Upload. Just 3 days ago non-stop to now, whenever I try to start streaming my bandwidth to twitch or youtube goes down the drain. I have a Xfinity Arris TG682. I've tried restarting my modem, changing ethernet ports, and updating drivers. When I stream my connection to everything else is fine, I just lose bandwidth.

Hi, I was wondering what is a good all in one software that can show me real time statistics / monitor about the computer on my desktop. Basically when I look at my desktop I want to see: * CPU temp * CPU load * GPU load * GPU temp * Network current download * Network current upload * Drive usage speed? * Memory usage Like a windows resource monitor but more in depth. For example, for the in game monitor I use MSI afterburner which shows me the FPS temps and memory. But I want the stats to be always present on the desktop ... Dont care about the size or place my desktop is empty. Im interested what do you use and how easy it is to operate. If you have a suggestion it will be great, once I tried the rainmetter but it was hard to operate. While I wait for answers Ill give it a shot once more. Thank you

Hey everyone, I seem to have run into an issue with my network but only with my computer. My pc is plugged directly into my Xfinity Arris modem using a Cat 6 ethernet cable. I have my Xbox One and TV also plugged into the modem but I have not noticed any issues with them network wise. First my PC specs: intel core i7 2700k OC 4.4 Corsair H100i Cooler Asus Sabertooth z77 Corsair (4x4GB)16 GB RAM 1600mhz? XFX Radeon 295x2 Mushkin Chronos 120 GB SSD WD 3 TB green HD EVGA G2 1000w PSU Windows 10 version: (after update) Version: 1903 Build: 18936.1000 A few weeks ago my network on my PC seemed to be bogged down even at start up. webpages wouldn't load, sign in verifications would time out. Browsing the steam store was impossible I get every different error page that exists. Usually if there is an issue with the network its due to comcasts shitty modem. I went to them and replaced it which didn't help. I am still not ruling it out though because it took me an hour to get it to cooperate with me and it was "new". Like I said before I have no issues with my xbox, PS4, or my smart tv, all are plugged in with ethernet cables while my ps4 is on wifi. I have a few devices on wifi but I have no issues with it at all. Now I tried using all my different ethernet cables with my PC same issues. I decided to run a speedtest downloaded the speedtest.net app on the windows store. I found what seems to be the problem using this my download speed is 118mbps but my upload speed is an atrocious 0.02mbps. Running the speedtest on my xbox I get the same download speed but upload is between 4 and 5mbps still atrocious but that's normal for comcast. I found a wifi usb lying around and tried to use that and it does work slightly better with upload speed I get around 2 mbps but the download speed is only 50mbps and the modem is right next to it. I tried reinstalling my network drivers, updating windows, I went to my moms house and tested it there same issues, windows troubleshooting says nothing, intels update tool says the ethernet port is working and theres no issues, device manager has no cautions, ran Malwarebytes for viruses and windows defender, used CCleaner to clean the registry and everything else. Seems I have done everything besides reinstall a clean windows or get a new motherboard which both of those I would like to avoid at the moment. So I am seeking advice for this frustrating issue. Networking is not my thing and I hate diagnosing these problems. Thanks everyone

Hey! I have been having a problem with chrome lately. My internet connection is 500/100Mbps with a ping of about 7-9 Ms and I get that speed on all browsers except chrome, on chrome I get the same download and ping but it's limited to 10Mbps. (And no I'm not confusing Mbps and MB/s) Anyone know what the problem might be? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Guys! So I'm experiencing low bit rate when streaming on OBS and Facebook. I have 25/25 DL/UL speed as per speedtest.net. My settings in OBS are also good. I've watched and read a lot of videos but I'm still at pinch. My dropped frames go as high as 65% when streaming but there is no noticeable difference on in-game quality. Is this an ISP issue or a computer issue that can be fixed? PC Specs: i7-4790 Zotac 1070Ti Mini 8GB RAM Main games and apps are on a 250GB 850 Evo SSD. I tried calling my ISP but it didn't do much as my speeds are pretty normal when testing it out. But when it comes to actual streaming, my bitrate only shows around 2.5-3k kb/s. It spikes around 4k like every 30 seconds. Streamed output is only 720p 60fps and my indicated bitrate is at 4500, sometimes 5000.
