I have a Redmi Note 10 Pro running Android 13/MIUI 14.0.7.0.TKFEUXM Global. I want to root it again (it loses root with each update), but the only 14.0.7.0 Global ROM available at xiaomifirmwareupdater.com is 14.0.7.0.TKFMIXM. There is a 14.0.7.0.TKFEUXM EEA ROM, which I believe is the EU version. Can I extract boot.img from the TKFMIXM variant to root a TKFEUXM ROM? Will that brick the phone because of the different version? Alternatively, could I use the EU version? I don't want to flash the entire ROM, just extract the boot.img file. I appreciate any help.

Hi, I bought this TV on amazon - https://www.amazon.in/Redmi-inches-Ultra-Android-L50M6-RA/dp/B08Y55LPBF/ref=sr_1_4?crid=5V76LX1SG721&keywords=realme+tv&qid=1643346053&sprefix=realm%2Caps%2C629&sr=8-4 I knew that it would be terrible, it's a TV for a school anyway, but it claims to be Dolby Vision. The only time I saw pure blacks was when the backlight was off (duh). And except that it was edge lit, how can a Dolby Vision TV have a backlight? Don't you need pure blacks? Over that, it's not even IPS. They don't even disclose the display technology. It absolutely looks like a scam but it is by Redmi, a Mi brand, and I'm surprised they're getting away with this. Any idea how?

Hello, I have an issue with my phone which I wanted to ask about. For the last week or two I feel like it drains the battery way faster than it used to. I downloaded AccuBattery and as you can see on the screenshots, it says i only have 5 hours screen on time when on 100%. It is a xiaomi redmi note 8 pro with a 4500 mAh battery, so I feel like it should have way more sot. Right now for example I am on a train for like half an hour, just watching memes on 9gag, and it already drained 7% of the battery which just doesn't seem right to me. Any idea what might be causing it and what should i do to fix it?

I've always used an android phone with a SDCard (previously a Nokia 5 running Android 9, never experienced any big issues) and recently I switched to a Redmi Note 8T, and every time I restart, soft reboot, shutdown or update my phone it corrupts my SDCard, I've tried multiple tricks including converting the partition style between GPT/MBR, formating in NTFS/exfat and it still would break I tried cleaning up the /Android folder and it still happened (I always ejected before restart) I'm looking for a solution and the reason of this I also wanted to know if this is Android or MIUI related and if anyone has experienced this? And if it is and Software or Hardware issue Please help!

Hi there guys I'm planning to upgrade my old phone and i'm not sure which to choose. I have couple of phones in same price range: - Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 (4GB RAM / 64GB Storage) - Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro (4GB RAM / 64GB Storage) - Huawei P40 Lite ( 6GB RAM / 128GB Storage) but the problem is it does not support the Google services I would go for Note 10 but i'm not sure how much the screen is safe since it's cheap AMOLED btw I dont really care about the NFC. Thank you in advance

The bootloader of my phone is unlocked. I tried to flash TWRP using fastboot but it didn't work. When I tried to get into the bootloader it kept taking me to the fastboot screen. From a forum on XDA I tried flashing the stock ROM using the MiFlash tool but half way through it gave me an error. After that the phone screen is black and no button combination or anything is working. It doesn't even vibrate. Is there any way I can fix it? Thanks for your help in advance. If you need any further details just ask.

I have a Redmi 10x 5g on TracFone through the byop program. It's worked beautifully since I got it except for the fact that for some reason the voicemail litterally won't stay recorded. Like almost every time I have to call to check a message I'm greeted with the setup message and it makes me re-record my greeting and password every time. Normally I'd go to Xiaomi or TracFone about something like this first and then come here but I can't figure out if this is a problem related to the phone or the carrier. If anyone has had this problem and fixed it please let me know, it's annoying as hec.

I was wondering on which phone i should get. Between Redmi Note 11 Pro 5g and Mi 11 lite 5g NE (both are pretty much the same price).Mi 11 lite has a better cpu, smaller battery size and 90hz display, and a better camera recorder (64Mpx but 1080p at 120fps and 4k at 30fps). While Redmi Note has worse cpu, better battery size and 120hz display and worse camera recorder (108Mpx but only 1080p at 30fps). Now i dont care about those thing that much i can live with them but i know that Xiaomi has software restrictions between their pro and non pro models. And they have restrictions beetwen their "budget" Redmi lineup and their "flagship" Mi lineup. So i am more concerned about the software side of things like Android support and MIUI support.

So I had this old redmi 4X chilling in the shelf and I wanted to use it...But with a different ROM I have enabled both USB DEBUGGING and OEM UNLOCKING option in the developers option and cross checked if its enabled before entering fastboot I lost my simcard tray...so basically I cannot use the MI UNLOCK TOOL either...... I have tried a lot of stuff from other threads in this forum for this specific phone and nothing seems to help...the same issue arises... have tried commands to enable bootloader , few people have made .bat files which they claim to install TWRP by just using it...nothing seems to help Any help would be nice

I received the Android 10 update for my Redmi Note 8 Pro two weeks ago and there are a couple bugs and issues as expected. The foremost and most annoying of them being the utterly woeful latency or lipsync of 700+ms! That's not acceptable at all. Most prominent on YT, Twitch and basically every HTML5 embedded videos on any websites as well. But this happens mostly on Bluetooth irrespective of the device I'm using. Wired headphones experience no issue whatsoever. Other than this, media volume controls are not appearing most of the times. Have any of you else experiencing this? Is there a cure without downgrade?

I'm considering buying a Redmi Note 4x but according to the specs it doesn't support 800Mhz (Band 20). This band is used by most networks in the UK, including the one my sim is on. Will the phone's signal still function properly? Does anyone own a Xiamoi phone in the UK? If so, what is your experience? Thanks

Hello everyone, I'm looking for a smartphone but I can't decide: Mi8 lite with 6gb of ram and 128gb of storage for 225€ vs Redmi Note 7 with 4gb of ram and 128 of storage for 230€. Which option do you think is better? I've heard that Redmi Note 7 is better overall, but I don't know if that 2gb ram differencia would be noticeable for daily use (my main mobile use is not for gaming, is basically web browsing, job-related apps). Thanks in advance. PS: I know there are some better pricings for both models out there, I use just for reference. Also would like to hear about other options around 200-230 €

I can't decide on which phone to buy.my budget only allows me to go up to 500 dollars or so and considering this restriction, I've got 3 options 1.one plus 7 2.asus zenfone 6 3.redmi k20 pro/mi 9t edit: I live in India so my options will be limited to that region. camera/video, audio, ui is a bit important to me I don't like Bluetooth earphones and due to the notch one plus is out of the options both Asus and k20 pro are value-flagships, good construction, etc Asus adv -good ui -good audio -good camera -bigger battery(5k vs 4k mah) -micro sd slot, dual speaker k20 pro adv -better screen -faster charging confusion -I prefer stock android and would love to go with Asus however Asus has an LCD whereas k20 pro which is a bit cheaper has a Samsung AMOLED screen with hardware dimming (NOTE: both have 600 nits peak brightness and are hdr) -I could possibly root k20 pro but that's not something id prefer to do as I'm not sure about warranty. I need the phone now and currently, there are no custom ROMs for it on xda that can be used as daily drivers! which one should I buy? any help is appreciated!

Have a Redmi note 7 & been really excited to try gcam on it, but so far the only ports I've found on XDA don't let me import xml profiles for the settings. I know there's a port out there that lets you do that (seen lots of videos going through the process of setting up the app for this phone) but I just can't seem to find one.

Hey all I've been wanting to get a pair of true wireless headphones for a while, and I've decided now is the time to buy them. I'm trying to stay fairly low budget, I'm looking to pay around 20-30 euro for them. The headphones I've been looking at are the Xiaomi Redmi Airports, coming in at 20 euros online. Do you any of y'all recommend something else? I'm mostly just going for decent sound quality and ease of use. Cheers!

https://www.komplett.no/category/21064/mobil/mobiltelefon?nlevel=10444§21064&manufacturer=Xiaomi&sort=Price%3AASCENDING I purchased a myX8 earlier this year and when I saw this phone the Xiaomi Redmi 6A on the page I was like, "that looks so much like my myX8!" then I compared it on this page! :3 https://www.pinoytechnoguide.com/compare?phones=myphone-myx8-vs-xiaomi-redmi-6a And I realized it actually use the same screen and it has basically a better chipset and camera but inferior battery while also coming a month earlier in the Philippines! O3O Well if I knew this I would have bought a myX8 & a Redmi 6A instead of two of the exact same phone... =3= Prices Asia: (purchasing here gives me 12 months warranty, plus harder to deliver back) my|phone myX8 (4999php = 800nok) Xiaomi Redmi 6A (5290php) Prices Komplett: (purchasing here gives me 24 months warranty) Xiaomi Redmi 6A 16GB / 2GB (1290nok) Xiaomi Redmi 6A 32GB / 3GB (1490nok)

There are only two designers of smart phones these days: Samsung and Apple. Its as if every company except Samsung made a phone with a notch after Apple released the IPhone X. Oh well... " Global Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro goes on sale ahead of announcement 18 September 2018 While we are hearing about an upcoming device called Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro, a retailer is already selling the smartphone on AliExpress. The phone is listed with full specs, images and pricing and on top of that this is the Global version that is said to support over 70 languages and comes with Google services and OTA updates. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro is listed with Snapdragon 636 chipset, although some reports suggested a Snapdragon 660. This exact version has 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage, but it comes with a microSD port. The screen is 6.26” with a notch, but the specs sheet has a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels (it should be 2280 x 1080 if the ratio is 19:9), making us suspect if the listing is entirely legit. We saw photos of the phone with four cameras, and this listing confirms them - the main setup will sport a 12 MP + 5 MP cam, while the selfie shooter will be 20 MP + 2 MP, with the secondary snappers doing some background blur. The OS is Android Oreo with MIUI 9 on top, and a 4,000 mAh battery cell, sadly with a micro USB port. This whole setup costs €171/$200. The colors are four - Black, Blue, Rose Gold, and Red."
