I'm having this exact same issue: Video profiles do absolutely nothing in firefox, edge and vlc, but do work in chrome, however in the latter if i switch to full screen mode the video goes back to default despite the profiles still being selected in radeon software. I'm running driver version 20.8.1 with a rx 580, the motherboard is a msi gaming plus max and cpu is a ryzen 2600x, windows 10 pro 20.04. I have tried using the flags "media.hardware-video-decoding.enabled" set to true in about:config, i have tried with the h264ify extension to force firefox to use h264 on youtube, but the radeon video profiles simply refuse to work on firefox, edge (for whatever reason it doesn't work on edge for even though they do work in the video i added) and vlc, but it does work on chrome if i don't go to full screen mode and works perfectly on mpc-hc. Pls help.

I manage a building that sublets individual offices to business people. They pay us something like $0.10 for each copy/fax/print/etc. I used to have I think it was a very old Brother brand machine that had the ability for the users to put in a 4 digit code and then they could print, copy, fax, scan, whatever. We could then run a report at the end of each month and determine who used however many pages of each service and charge them accordingly. That old machine died awhile back and I wasn't aware they were using said feature until a few months later. Needless to say I disposed of that old machine and all documentation with it. I need to find a new machine that has what I can only think to explain is a "billing profile" but even my google searches are not helping. Can anyone advise if "billing profile" is what I should be searching and/or if they know of some machines that would meet this requirement? Also, the other requirements are this is for about 10 people so I don't need a machine that costs several thousands of dollars. The budget is probably around $400 but could be up to say $800 if I had to given the annual revenue from last year was I think in the $400-600 range.

What Happened?: Heres what I did; powered down the PC, turned off PSU, held power button for 10secs, removed all RAM, removed RAM heatsinks, rebooted, duel BIOS repaired by corrupted BIOS, rebooted, boot failed, went into BIOS and changed RAM profile to 2134Mhz, rebooted, failed, rebooted with same settings, sucsess and RAM is at 2134MHz. Does anyone know what I could have done to cause this? And is it a sign of damaged components? Whats Next?: Two builds coming up soon that I will be blogging on and some updates to my other blogs, Smokey's Chronicles and Smokey Attempts: The Red Mod. Thank you :)

Hi everyone, When mulitple users utilize Outlook 2016 on the same computer and sign in with their respective accounts, how does that affect the profiles that appear under Mail in Control panel? For instance, Suzy and John use the same computer because they have different shifts. Suzy signs into Outlook in the morning with her account. John signs in with his account in the afternoon. Can each user have multiple profiles? How are they associated with their respective accounts? What does Mail under Control panel look like if Suzy has 2 profiles under her account, and John has 3 profiles under his account. Let's say Suzy has a Self Employed Business profile and her 9-5 job profile. Let's say John has 9-5 job profile, Self Employed Profile, and is weird and has a profile with his kid's emails inboxes. See what I'm saying? Thanks.

Hello, On the old K95 RBG, you had 18 G Keys + 3 profiles for a total of 54 G Keys. The new K95 RBG Platinum has 6 G Keys only, but still 3 profiles. Does this mean you still have a total of 18 G Keys (6 x 3) or are the profiles just RGB profiles? Thanks in advance, Casey

On the Switch i have setup my profile and 2 for my kids. So they have their own savegames ect. I also downloaded the Parental control app and have it setup to prevent both my girls from buying something in the shop. That works perfectly since it asks for the pin whenever she would try to buy anything. Now the weird thing. She can select my profile and just go in and buy stuff I would think you would be able to protect the Parent profile with a pin or something? Am i missing something simple or is just an oversight? And yes i know i can set it that it will ask for my password when i log into the shop. But i just find it weird they can select my profile without me being able to protect it.

I am trying to set some custom fan profiles for my CPU fan using the software included with my ASRock Z170M Extreme 4 motherboard called A-Tuning. It does not seem to be working. My CPU fan sits at the lowest setting at 400-500 RPM even when the CPU reaches 90 degrees in cinebench as shown in the picture. If I change the lowest point in the curve the fan speed changes accordingly so i know the PWM control works. It just seems that the change with temperature doesn't work. Are there some MB settings I have to set for the profiles to work? Or is this simply horrible software and I need to use something else?

I work in a mix between a mac and windows environments and I wanted a mechanical keyboard to help add some sanity to that. I was hoping to find a board which would allow key remapping and save that in on-board memory. Hopefully I could have two profiles so that I could switch between mac and windows key setups. The reason I wanted this to be on board memory was so I could plug in into either type of os and have it just work without needing drivers or client software. My preference would be for cherry mx brown switches. I like back lighting but it's not a requirement. Hopefully someone out there understands my pain and can give a recommendation.

Hello all, (first post on here woohoo!) I need to pick someones brain... I am in a situation where, for example, friends would come over and use my laptop, but I have very limited storage on there. I am happy to let them install things such as games etc (so grant admin rights on that account, so to speak), but I would like them to use a temporary profile, in such that when the user logs out, it would delete/restore any changes on there that they have made. Would anyone have any idea on how to do this? I've tried Googling, but the forums that are popping up aren't exactly what I'm after. Thanks - MLFH

Does the Corsair iCUE have gaming RGB gaming profiles, where you select a game, and the specific keys for that game lights up? I know Logitech has it, where it supports over 300 gaming profiles. Does Corsair iCUE have the same thing?

I just bought a Razer Orbweaver and I am thinking of the possibilities for its use and making day to day tasks easier, also for gaming. My question is, Is there a place where people share their macro profiles, game profiles for the orbweaver? I am lazy and feel it would take forever to set it up for each individual game I play. I also dabble in Adobe suite; photoshop, premiere pro, after effects...etc. Do people use these for easier macro setups? I would appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction or any other feedback, thanks guys!

Hi I just bought a corsair k70 with red led lighting and am wondering if there's a way to set up a profile designed for when I leave the room or go afk. Because when i'm gaming I don't want to lights to start flashing and doing cool stuff but I want my keyboard to after something like 15 minutes of not being touched it starts doing patterns and cool shit. Thanks appreciate any help given.

Hello, I have been looking for something like this for my 2600k GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 system for a while now but to no avail. Situation: I write music on my PC. Because I want the most performance for virtual instruments and effects I overclocked the 2600k to 4.6GHz (@1.404V-1.42V, I know, kinda high but that worked for far more than two years now just fine). As it is I already have to "render" (bounce, if that tells you something) my instruments very often. At the stock 3.4GHz some of my synths don't do very well. Speedstep, C3/C6, C1E, EIST and Turboboost are disabled since they caused hiccups and stuttering. So 4.6GHz constantly. Even on catvideos \m/ or forums ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) But my PC is only used for music production 30% of the time. The rest is stuff for university, youtube and a bit of TF2. And restarting and changing in the BIOS isn't an option; I have to get my ideas down as quickly as possible. Now in the summer my room gets toasty quite quickly. Even if it isn't really hot outside. Question: Is there a tool you can set up to have two profiles, preferably in-tray, where you set up two OC profiles (e.g. one stock; 3.4GHz, stock voltage (I believe 1.25V), one the current OC profile with 4.6GHz etc) and then quickly switch between them in-OS? If not, would there be any possibility to pass this idea on to ASUS, Gigabyte and MSI? The nicest thing ever would of course be standardization and then one ultra-lightweight (not more than one of two MB) utility that can alter the heat-heavy values (VCore, Multiplier, BCLK etc.) from within the OS on the fly based on manually created profiles...

Hey, just doing a mild OC with no voltage added and it's stable at 1453 MHz but I wanted to know if it is safe running at this core clock speed all the time or if it will degrade my GPU's life. I am thinking it really shouldn't since I didn't add any voltage HOWEVER I did increase the power target from 100% to 125% (max) I am not sure what the power target does as I was just following this overclocking guide. Just a quick question concerning the usage of Corsair h100i while overclocking. If one plans to change the voltage and multiplier, ie - overclock - do you need to switch the h100i profile to Balanced Mode or even higher? Asking because both of those are much louder than Quiet mode (obviously). So why overclock if I'll need to have the cooler make more noise than I'm comfortable with? Do others keep their coolers at faster RPMs just to maintain good temp on the overlocked CPU? Perhaps just overclock this CPU to such an extent that Quiet Mode will keep temperatures below 60 (generally accepted load temp for this CPU)? It's a question I had for a while now ... do people really tolerate the noise just to enjoy the overclock?

Hey, I've been looking into motherboard profiles. I'm looking to do a underclock profile and a default(or optimized) one. I couldn't quite find any info on the z97-A specifically. I'm building the rig I'm going to perform this on in like two months or so. Can someone help me out here, I feel like this is too obvious and I'm just messing up easy stuff Thank you for your time.

Hello, recently my Corsair K70 rgb has been having some problems with profiles not responding to key strokes, for example some of the profiles have a shock wave go out from where a key was pressed, recently my keyboard has not been responding to keystrokes in profiles that have effects based on this. All the lighting is still there just no longer responding, I've tried all the slandered fixs, update CUE, uninstall CUE, uninstall the drivers, reboot and I have tried multiple profiles nothing has worked so far. Has anyone else had any issues similar to this and/or know how to fix it? Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance. Relevent information: OS: Windows 7 CUE version: 1.7.106 K70 firmware version: 1.20 I can provide any other information if needed.

Finally joined the AIO water cooling crowd with the Liqtech 120. To quote Jayz2Cents its f***** rugged. And it had to be, issues with the case involved me doing a bit of drilling the case to fit it so lots of handling. Been doing some stress testing since I threw it in and compared the curves to see what it was like, and the heat temp climbing is very slow compared to a air cooler, but the same can be said of the drop in temp once the CPU returns to idle. At idle, the cooler is 10*c below the air cooler (the room temp is the same), but at the high end, with identical fan profiles off the CPU fan header its actually a degree or 2 higher. The Pump is powered off one of the spare system fan headers so its made me wonder if the pump is operating at half its speed? Could this have an effect on the temps? Also, how have people got their fan profiles set up to drop the coolant back down to before stress test temps (36>38*c from 52 by todays test).

Is it possible to attach an overclock profile to a specific game? Games like Borderlands 2 and Kerbal Space Program don't like overclocks, so I'd like to attach Profile 1 (No OC) to those games. I still want that extra performance when I'm playing Crysis 3 for example, so I'd like to attach Profile 2 (Stable OC) to the other games.

Hi guys, just upgraded to server 2012 and having a slight issue with setting the permissions on roaming user profiles. Is this supposed to be done different than in server 2008/2003? (eg. GPO) because I've tried to to set the permissions on the users' folders without and luck. Ive gotten it as far as it creates the folder for the user but administrators do not have access. below is the batch file i used to run to enable this: icacls C:\UserProfiles /grant Everyone:(NP)(AD,RD,RA,X) icacls C:\UserProfiles /grant "Domain Admins":(OI)(CI)F icacls C:\UserProfiles /grant System:(OI)(CI)F icacls C:\UserProfiles /grant "CREATOR OWNER":(OI)(CI)F icacls C:\UserProfiles /remove administrators

Hi guys, So, we have a domain controller at work, and we want to implement Roaming Profiles. When we go into the Users and Computer Active Directory on the Primary DC, every users' profile folder is directed towards "\\FileServer3\Profiles\%username%". However, once, some time ago, it was set to "\\FileServer1\Profiles\%username%". This was when FileServer1 was our primary FileServer. It's been decommissioned since then, and now FileServer3 is our primary FileServer, but when we try to log into the Domain as a Domain User on any computer, it says it can't find our profile folders which it says are supposed to be located at "\\FileServer1\Profiles\%username%". In other words, when we edit the path to the profile folder in the Primary DC, it doesn't update on the machines from FileServer1 to FileServer3. We've tried leaving the Domain and coming back to it, but it still doesn't update. Anyone have any idea why this is? Thanks, Vitalius.

Hi guys, My FreeNAS system is acting as a Domain Controller (treat it like a normal Windows 2008 R2 DC). My main rig (Windows 8.1 Update 1) was set up as part of the domain. [situation at this point: DC is up, PC is part of Domain] I rebuilt the FreeNAS system setup from scratch after switching a lot of hardware around (CPU, Motherboard & RAM) so that the plugins would work correctly (they were still looking for the old NIC). [situation at this point: DC is down, PC is still part of the Domain but without a DC] I re-added my PC to the domain and everything worked fine. I logged in with my same user/pass and the PC logged me into my correct profile. [situation at this point: DC is up, PC is part of Domain] After reinstalling my plugins, they were still having issues, so I did it again, except this time I moved all my data to another PC and wiped everything on the FreeNAS machine. [situation at this point: DC is down, PC is still part of the Domain but without a DC] Then after reinstalling FreeNAS, and configuring it, I re-added my PC to the Domain again, but this time, it didn't let me log in with my correct profile and instead made a new one. In the Users folder, there's my local profile [user], my old domain profile [user.Domain] and now my newly made profile [user.Domain.000]. I don't want the .000 one. I want it to log me into my original one. [situation at this point: DC is up, PC is part of Domain] The username/password didn't change. The domain name didn't change. The PC and FreeNAS' system names did not change. And I have no idea why it worked the first time I did this and not the second. I could just move the stuff from my old to my new profile since it's still there, but it's not just files, but preferences as well (i.e. task bar pins, start menu pins, background settings, etc) and I'm not sure how the Domain will handle me doing that. If anyone knows why I could sign in correctly the first time and not the second, I'd love to know as that would probably tell me what my problem is, thanks.

Hi guys, So we are testing out domain logins for our users. Well, their domain name == their local user name. So when they log into the computer & domain, the folder under C:\Users is this: jdoe.DOMAIN because there's already a jdoe for the local account. My question is: Does the environment variable %USERNAME% include that Domain? So say I said to create a folder in the C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents directory, would that end up being C:\Users\jdoe\Documents or C:\Users\jdoe.DOMAIN\Documents? I'm assuming the former which explains why folder creation isn't working. Would %USERPROFILE% bypass this, such as %USERPROFILE%\Documents? Any help is appreciated, thanks.
