Hey everyone, recently i bought new pc and the motherboard that i choose is Asus TUF x470-plus gaming and i wanted to update the bios to the latest version because the version that's on is the old bios from 2 years ago. When i tried to update the bios to the latest version directly from the bios menu with the Ez Flash 3 tool i choose the USB, chose the bios file and it asked me if i want to read the file i clicked yes when i did that the mouse was frozen for couple seconds and after that i got the message that "Selected file is not a proper BIOS". I tried with two different usb drives and both were formatted to FAT32, i also tried to download the bios directly from the asus servers. After you choose the Ez Flash it asked me if i want from local drive or internet and the third time (after the two usb attempts failed) i choose internet and i got the same error message "Selected file is not a proper BIOS". I also tried to rename the bios file with the provided renaming tool and still the same result. Does someone has any idea how this can be fixed? 20210311_173607_1_1.mp4

What a galactic move! As of today, Korean consumer electronics manufacturer Samsung has started to pay AdBlock Plus (ABP) for blocking Microsoft ads. This is an answer to Microsoft themselves paying ABP to have their ads unblocked, which was the reason for Microsoft ads surfacing even when your AdBlock was active. No word has been received from Microsoft. Rumor has it though that they are considering additional payments to ABP as well as integrated Microsoft ads in their new Spartan browser. Samsung is well known for their unusual methods when it comes to advertising. Besides producing video ads that are so bad that you basically must watch them, the Koreans are apparently trying to subliminally redefine what a standard smartphone actually is. Recent photos of Samsung advertising one-hand-operation as a feature for a smartphone (the Galaxy S3 Mini, precisely) support this theory.

With processor getting more efficient and producing less heat, having your cpu fan spin while the machine is idle can be a waste of energy. Arctic seems to agree with this as they have released a new cpu cooler called the Arctic Freezer I32 Plus. The cooler has a dimension of 123mm wide, 102mm in depth, 150mm in height, 4 direct contact 6mm copper heatpipes, and weights 752 grams. It comes with dual 120mm FDB (Fluid Dynamic Bearing) coolers that operates at a maximum of 1,350 rpm and has a unique feature, where it can operate in passive mode or 0 RPM mode when your system is idle or running light weight task. So far it only supports Intel mainstream sockets and NLM based enthusiast socket, like the one found on the Asrock X99E-ITX/AC, but not the standard types or AMD sockets. The cooler cost around $50 dollars and comes with a 6 year limited warranty. https://www.arctic.ac/us_en/freezer-i32-plus.html http://www.tomshardware.com/news/arctic-freezer-i32-plus-zero-rpm,33525.html

So I just noted that Galaxy S8 has more Dpi screen and has everything same as S8 plus (excluding size). And I don't think paying more for just 500 more mAh and more size worth it. https://www.cnet.com/products/samsung-galaxy-s8-plus/preview/ So I was waiting around to buy S8, should I go for S8 or Plus?? Please mention if I'm missing anything.

So I was on my way to buy a note 7 when WOW they are discontinued. What I don't want:I don't like the s7 so that's off the table I have bad experience with htc and I am not a fan of the v20's screen or fingerprint sensor location. I am not a fan of the way the pixel looks and can't wait anyway. The two phones i am considering Moto z force-pros-shatterproof, fast, moto mods-cons-camera, expensive One plus 3-durable but not shatterproof, fast, camera, all metal-cons-screen resolution, worse specs I know that going out guns blazing expecting to buy a note 7 is different than the one plus 3 budget price, however, I think that not financing a phone (a must with the moto z force) is going to be worth it in the end. The z force is good but I don't know if it is deserving of it's price. Any help or experience is really appreciated.

So the one plus 3 is easily one of the best phones of the year and I am personally planning to buy it. Recently there have been rumors being spread about a new model, a one plus 3 plus or s if you will. Does anyone have any information on this topic? I know that what the rumors are saying is that they are keeping the AMOLED and they are getting a snapdragon 821, however, all of this is still speculation for the most part. I want to buy this phone, however, I am willing to wait if I must. Any info will help, thanks. This is purely for news on the possibly new one plus 3. http://www.androidauthority.com/oneplus-still-making-oneplus-3-721649/ http://www.ibtimes.com/oneplus-3s-or-oneplus-3-plus-could-be-launching-soon-difference-oneplus-3-terms-specs-2430331

http://www.redmondpie.com/storagegate-32gb-iphone-7-plus-reportedly-has-slower-storage-than-other-variants/ So it turns out that some iPhone 7 32GB and iPhone 7 Plus 32GB phones have slower storage than their 128GB counterparts. In the article above, they reference a synthetic benchmark in which they record a 10 minute 4K video on an iPhone 6S Plus 64GB, a 7 Plus 32GB, and a 7 128GB. The video was then trimmed exactly in half using iOS's inbuilt video editing, and the time it took each phone to create a copy of the new trimmed file was recorded. The iPhone 7 Plus 32GB has been found to actually have a lower overall Passmark Disk Mark than the iPhone 6S 64GB.

So today I went to buy a one plus 3, and I have so far no had the most pleasant experience. It started out and I select the one plus 3, put it in my cart, put in my address all the while ignoring the 3 WEEKS to ship. However, upon going to enter an American Express, it wouldn't accept. Fine, whatever, I go to my visa. I place the order and guess what, there has been an error with the payment. I go and i "checkout" multiple times under the same order number so I don't get fined multiple times, and it won't work. I call them up, and I tell them everything and they were no help. They asked me so many questions I had already answered, but they kept on saying "24-48 hours. The website told me the order wouldn't even be processed if I didn't pay. I guess I will wait for the 24 to 48 hours and see however I do not think it will change much.

Considering a new phone to replace my dead Asus zenfone 2 (16GB model). Originally I was looking at a Nexus 6p, but I don't want to pay almost $600 for it. So I set my sights on something lower cost. I understand the differences on paper between the two are fairly small, still I prefer the 3 if I can. But is the Oneplus 3 $500+ everywhere? the MSRP is at $399, which I would pay, but I can't find anywhere that it is selling at that price... Suggestions?

Why can't all phones ship with Viper4Android straight out of the box? Has anyone else wondered this? I have recently upgraded from my rooted s7 Edge (with Viper installed) to an s8 plus, here's me thinking "Oh yeah, because this phone is worth so much, the audio should be fantastic"... I was so wrong, it is awful, the stock "equaliser" is worse than bread with no butter. What are your thoughts on this? I think I should be able to at least have the option to install Viper (or something similar) without having to root and void my warranty. EDIT I have found some apps on the play store. -Package Disabler Pro (to disable the default SoundAlive EQ) Cost me $1.99 -Noozxoide EIZO-rewire free, working really well, has less customisation compared to Viper4Android, but the presets work really well. Then, to deal with the problem Android has always had, quiet sound. -Volume Booster Pro free EDIT 2 I have noticed a slight whine when a song is quiet (sometimes at the start or end). It is ever so slight and won't stop me from using it, just thought I should put it out there. There could be a fix or an alternative app but I have had enough of playing around EDIT 3 Ended up changing volume booster app, Volume Booster Pro pro was not very reliable. Now using an app called Volume Booster by GOODEV EDIT 4 On a completely unrelated note, Package Disabler Pro allows you to disable Bixby (yay) so now I don't accidentally hit the button maneuvering my phone whilst watching por... Hello, I recently bought a gtx 1080 ti strix and Im getting crazy coil whine on some applications; -on games with very high fps 500+ ( I know that is fixable and doesnt bother me, i limit the fps to 300 and you cant hear it) -running Folding at home but only on certain "jobs". It doesnt seem to matter about the power draw at all since one job could be using around 100% power limit and be wisper quiet and another 80% and be loud and another 80& aswell and be quiet Im pretty sure its the psu, since it isnt a very high quality one at all ( LC Power 650w 2.3) and I had some coil whine with my previus gpu ( 970), but not nearly as much. I can also hear the same whine coming from the PSU as it is coming from the GPU, but just a little quieter on the PSU. I was looking at some reviews and found this seasonic one have some incredible ripple performance and generaly a very well build psu, judging from JonnyGURU . I can get it for around 110 eur. I want something high quality that will last for a long time and this one has 10years of warranty. Would this be a good choice? Maybe another better choice? Thank you for your anwsers and have a nice day

Buy iPhone 8 on Amazon: http://geni.us/eY8eDWA Buy iPhone 8+ on Amazon: http://geni.us/vKruiD Let's be honest - the iPhone 8 is pretty much the definition of a "refresh." But does iOS 11 make this refresh a lot more interesting?

So I want to get certified so that I can work for my uncle and being certified is a requirement. While I know a lot of hardware stuff and generally speaking I know a lot I am not yet ready for the full test. I was wondering if anyone had taken the test and whether or not they had any tips. I need somewhere where I can learn a lot of the little things.

The ZTE Axon7 and Oneplus 3 are both around ~$520 cad, where the baseline Oneplus 3t (64GB) is $599. Naturally I'll wait for some blackfriday sales, but it seems the axon7 and oneplus 3 are pretty comparable, any glaring issues with either?

So in marketing for SSD's, manufacturer's spam their listings with Read/Write speeds and 4KB random read/write speeds. So my question is how does IOPS in particular translate to the end-user experience? Comparison page on Newegg: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare?CompareItemList=20-147-743%2C9SIA12K8UF6084 As an example, take the Samsung 970 EVO Plus 250GB versus the Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB. Both boast Max sequential Read of 3500 MBps. The 250GB version has a Max Sequential Write speed of 2400 MBps while the 1TB version clocks in at 3300 MBps. Where the major difference lies, and where my curiosity lies as well, is the difference in 4KB Random read speeds. On the 250GB version they say "Up to 250,000 IOPS" and on the 1TB version they say "Up to 600,000 IOPS." Is this just marketing lingo that has no real world difference or is there a measurable difference in load times for Windows, video games, file transfers, etc. I know NVME drives are lightyears ahead of HDD's and significantly faster than standard 2.5" SSDs. This is not a purchasing decision, merely for curiosity as this is a good compare/contrast example given both drives are of the same Make/Model (Samsung EVO Plus).
