  1. My D30reverse trippel pack just killed another fan header. we up to 2 now be aware (in a year) .. most expensive fans i ever had by a mile
  2. Hey guys. I'm planning my next build and want to use Phanteks D30 fans as case fans and radiator fans. However I'm not a fan of the Phanteks Glacier One D30 pump block so I thought I'm gonna use a Deepcool AIO with D30 fans instead. But I was thinking how I would have to connect that whole thing afterwards. Correct me but is this correct: Pump power to CPU FAN 2/PUMP Pump RGB to motherboard (yes i would like to control that via motherboard) Fans power to CPU FAN 1 Fans RGB to RGB controller or daisy chain link Would that work?
  3. Planning to add a second 280mm or 360mm radiator, but my current chassis does not support it. Currently using a Phanteks Enthoo Luxe T.G. with the modular 3.5" and 5.25" bays removed, so the front is completely open. Configuration right now, I have a single EKwb Quantum 360mm (44mm thick) radiator at the top. 2x 140mm intake fans at the front, and 140mm exhaust at the rear. EKwb Quantum Kinetic TBE 200 pump-res combo mounted to the bottom of the chassis. The Phanteks Enthoo Luxe T.G. supports 2x 140mm fans, but DOES NOT support a 280mm at the front, instead only up to 240mm. Given that the pump-res is mounted in front of the GPU + PSU shroud, space is tight. If it fits, it will barely just fit a 44mm thick radiator + 25mm thick fan, before it makes contact with the pump-res. So far, these are my potential candidates, not in any particular order Phanteks Enthoo Pro 2 T.G. Phanteks NV5 It's a shorter case, seeing where to fit the pump-res Lian-Li Lancool III Very mechanically modular chassis, no issues fitting thick radiators at the front Similar concern to the NV5, It's a shorter case, seeing where to fit the pump-res Lian-Li O11 Dynamic EVO Dual chamber chassis, so it's wider...but coming at 285mm, not much wide than the 240 / 245mm vs the Enthoo Pro2 / 5000D (still eats up desk space nonetheless) Corsair 4000D / 5000D Airflow My concerns: How / where to mount the pump-res so it's not in the way Bottom of the chassis, like my current setup? Other side of the front radiator? Elsewhere on the chassis, if it supports it. If I can fit another 44mm thick radiator, great, but I can live with a thinner radiator (i.e. 30mm) Putting my Sapphire NITRO+ under water using a EKwb full cover block, coming in at 285mm (~11.3") length I am open the other options / recommendations.
  4. Hello! I have a PC I built in 2017 that I plan to pass over to my partner, so she can use it to do photo/video editing, 3D modeling, and game with me. I will then need to build a new PC rig that is a bit more powerful than that one so I can do some software development with neural networks, 3D modeling, and host app and game servers. A friend is offering to sell me a rig they have which comes with a massive case that might fit both rigs together, but I need help figuring out what is the best thing to do. Budget & Location: $3,000 ~ $5,000 CAD for the new PC and $500 ~ $1,000 CAD for upgrading the existing one. (CAD , Canada) Aim: I will use the new PC to: Develop Neural Networks / AI (nothing too extreme, I know I need a NASA-grade PC to create high-end AIs, I will build basic AIs or whatever my build allows), Do 3D Modeling (assets for games mostly), Host servers for Apps and Games, and Occasional gaming with games such as Ark Survival Evolved, No Man's Sky, Space Engineers, Minecraft, and other Sandbox Survival and MMO games ...possibly VR, but that's just bonus stuff right now The existing PC will be used by my partner for: Photo/Video Editing, 3D modeling and texturing, and Gaming (same kind of games as listed above, we will play together). ...possibly VR, but that's just bonus stuff right now Monitors: For the new PC: Two monitors, both wide (at least one ultrawide), and at least one of them should be able to be setup vertically. For the existing PC: Similar to the above, except at least one monitor needs to be good for Photo/Video editing with good color calibration (probably Peripherals: Mechanical keyboard, Gaming Mouse, Headset, and Webcam, all connected via USB. Nothing out of the ordinary. OS: My current right which I will give to my partner is on Windows 10 Pro. I might keep it like that, or install a Linux distro as the system OS and have Windows 10 Pro in a VM in there. For the new rig, I will likely do the same thing. Other details: My current rig which I plan to pass over to my partner has the following specs: Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus IX Hero Z270 LGA1151 DDR4 DP HDMI M.2 USB 3.1 ATX --> $284.99 CAD (2017 via NewEgg) CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K Kaby Lake Quad-Core 4.2 GHz LGA1151 91W BX80677I77700K Desktop Processor --> $413.99 CAD (2017 via NewEgg) GPU: ASUS ROG GeForce GTX 1070 STRIX-GTX1070-O8G-GAMING 8GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready Video Card with RGB Lighting --> $609.99 CAD (2017 via NewEgg) PSU: EVGA SuperNova 750 G2 220-G2-0750-XR 80+ GOLD 750W Fully Modular EVGA ECO Mode Includes Power On Self Tester Power Supply --> $134.99 CAD (2017 via NewEgg) RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8 GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200) Intel Z170 Platform / Intel X99 Platform Desktop Memory Model F4-2400C15D-16GVR --> $164.99 CAD (2017 via NewEgg) Case/Tower: NZXT S340 Glossy Black Steel ATX Mid Tower --> $94.99 CAD (2017 via NewEgg) CPU Cooling: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120mm PWM Fan --> $35.99 CAD (2017 via NewEgg) System Disk: SAMSUNG 850 EVO 2.5" 250GB SATA III 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-75E250B/AM --> $139.99 CAD (2017 via NewEgg) Storage Disk: Seagate ST2000VX008-2E3164 with 2TB (it's actually 1.81TB) --> $79.99 CAD (2017 via NewEgg) Monitor: LG 29UB55-B 29" IPS LED HD 21:9 UltraWide LCD Monitor --> $259.95 CAD (2017 via eBay) Total Budget Spent (2017) on this rig was: $2,219.86 CAD I have not had any issues with this rig, it is the best PC I have had by far. That said, I underestimated how much space my system disk would need, so I need to upgrade the SSD to one with more space, probably 1TB. Aside from that, the only issue I've had is with the case's power switch not working properly which seems to be a common issue with this case model. The new rig I want to build should have similar specs, but more powerful. A friend of mine is offering to sell me one of his rigs which has these specs: Motherboard: GIGABYTE X399 AORUS XTREME sTR4 AMD X399 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 Extended ATX AMD Motherboard (Socket TR4, AMD Ryzen Threadripper) CPU: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2nd Gen - Ryzen Threadripper 2970WX Colfax (Zen+) 24-Core, 48-Thread, 2970WX 4.2 GHz Max Boost (3.0 GHz Base), Socket sTR4 250W YD297XAZAFWOF Desktop Processor GPU: ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 2080 Blower 8GB GDDR6 256-bit Metal Backplate Dual Slots Graphics Card ZT-T20800A-10P, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080, GPU Clock Speed 1710 MHz PSU: Corsair HXi High Performance ATX12V 1200 Power Supply Series CP-9020070-NA, HX1200i 80+ Platinum Fully Modular, Corsair Link RAM: G.SKILL Sniper X Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000) Desktop Memory Model F4-3000C16D-32GSXFB Case/Tower: Phanteks Enthoo Elite PH-ES916E_BK Black Anodized Aluminum Panels, Powder Coated Steel Chassis, Tempered Glass Side Panel E-ATX Full Tower Case CPU Cooling: Fractal Design Cooler FD-WCU-CELSIUS-S36-BK, Dynamic X2 PWM fans with 500 to 2000 RPM with sound dampening System Disk: SAMSUNG 970 EVO M.2 2280 1TB PCIe Gen3.X4, NVMe 1.3 64L V-NAND 3-bit MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-V7E1T0BW Storage Disk: HGST DeskStar NAS 3.5" 4TB 7200 RPM 128MB Cache SATA 6.0 Gb/s High-Performance Hard Drive for Desktop NAS Systems Monitor: n/a My friend says he spent approximately $7,000 CAD on this rig (in 2019 if I recall correctly), but is willing to sell it to me for less (has not said how much yet). My dilemmas, doubts, and what I need help figuring out is the following: First of all, are the specs of my friend's computer good for my purposes? I think it might even be overkill, which I am fine with. If I get my friend's rig, should I leave it as it is or do you recommend changing/replacing any components? As a side note, I might underclock the CPU to reduce electricity bill, if possible because the Threadripper will increase my electricity bill by 20~30% according to my calculations. If I get my friend's rig, should I keep the case too? It is absolutely massive, and my friend says I can put my current rig in there together with the other... can I do that? should I? I have no idea if putting both motherboards/rigs together in the same case is a good idea or not, I feel like it increases the risk if anything happens to one rig it could affect the other one too... If I get my friend's rig but without the massive case, what case do you suggest for that build? (I like black cases, preferably metal instead of plastic, I prioritize PC safety and practicality over aesthetics) If I do not get my friend's rig, what build would you suggest buying/assembling instead for my purposes? I am still a beginner when it comes to PC rigs/building. I will appreciate any comments and advice.
  5. I scored a used Enthloo 719(luxe 2) off Facebook marketplace and other than some dust it’s basically new except the rgb strip that runs along the power supply shroud was snapped off near the end. It doesn’t seem to be repairable and I’m better off trying to either source an exact replacement which is wired together with the front panel rgb or trying to source a thin 3 pin rgb strip I can solder onto the originals connector. I’m at a dead end with finding either of those so I’d greatly appreciate any help or suggestions
  6. THIS HAS BEEN A ALMOST 4+ YEARS BUILD FOR ME AND I'M FROM THE UNITED STATES. As it states this had been a 4+ years to get to this point to build this SILVER MISFIT. I've honestly have lost count of the cost of everything I've spent on building my system. Where old parts that became spare part to ending up in a second computer I made for someone else but that's for another post and time lol. I original started off with parts list: Case Phanteks Evolv Shift XT(silver)/750w platinum power supply combo(Was inspired by JAYZTWOCENTS from YouTube) Bought from Phanteks MoBo Asus X570I GAMING (ITX) bought through New egg CPU AMD 5600 bought through New Egg CPU COOLER PHANTEKS Glacier One WHITE RGB edition bought from Phanteks(Before they offered bundle with case & power supply) Ram OLOy OWL WHITE RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 3600 bought through New Egg GPU GIGABYTE GTX 1080TI Gaming OC 11g white special edition bought used from ebay during the gpu apocalypse Storage Corsair Mp500 m.2 240gb bought from Newegg back in 2017 lol and the true starting point of this build PNY 1tb 2.5 ssd bought from Walmart Ran my system like that for a couple of months maybe longer. Before I did my first upgrade lol. Which was a ram upgrade by the same manufacturer OLOY and same kit just went from 16g to 32g. Which I also bought on NEWEGG lol. During that time I was looking into parts for a custom waterloop. Where I made my first noob water cooling mistake lol *sigh* I under estimated the size of the pump reservoir combo from Corsair. The one the size of 2 120mm stacked together. Yeah total noob mistake lol and only realized it once I had the box in had looking it over. Talk about a facepalm moment. I should of don't a return of it and got my money back but I decided to keep it. Figured I'd end up using for another build down the road. Which I did lol. Next upgrade I got were some high flow/pressure fans for the radiator on the AIO. Since I couldn't get the Phanteks T30-120 Fan that had come out and JAYZTWOCENTS had demonstrated. Without having to give up a left nut to scalpers. I instead bought a set of EK-Furious Meltemi 120 (1200-3500rpm) lol what I didn't realize was these were 35mm and wouldn't quite let the top of the fast go back on by a few mm. So I just ended leaving the top sitting on top not latched. As I was gathering all the water cooling pieces I needed to complete loop V1 Decided to go for all white fittings as an accent cooler matching with the ram and duktape was using around the fan edges of the AIO radiator since didn't have gaff tape like JAYZTWOCENTS lol. Hey it worked to help the air going through the radiator better. Help cool by at least 5° c. As for the fittings I bought a mix of Corsair, FreezeMod, and Barrow. I also decided to go soft tubing route at first to make it easier on myself with my first loop and allow me to do a proff of concept on the loop on how I wanted to do it. Which was 10mm ID/13mm OD 3/8in x 1/2in. Which was by PRIMOFLEX 10ft box bundle. The radiator I decided to go with Alphacool NexXxos ST30 V2 Full Copper Radiator 240, 120mm x 2, Dual Fan, Black because of the fact it had 5 g 1/4 ports. Which 4 were basically back to back which would be needed for me to fill the loop since I wasn't going to be able to run a reservoir in the loop do to lack of space and not trying to spend too much on water cooling parts lol The pump I finally found and would work for my build Ek-Loop DDC 4.2 PWM. It was the perfect size to fit in this SFF case and partly why I went with the tube size I picked lol For the waterblocks. I chose to go with what I could find without having to give up a body part to afford them lol. For the CPU I went with Hydro X Series XC7 White and for the GPU Bykski Gigabyte GTX 1080Ti Gaming OC 11G Full Coverage GPU Water Block - Clear (N-GV1080TIG1-X). As for the fluid I went with Corsair Hydro X clear premix since could get it cheap and I didn't feel like using any color fluid at the time. Here's pics of my very first loop from the sides only and before I filled the loop. Forgot to take more pics after getting it filled and system up and running. After a few months of having my system like that and using it on my days off I decided that I was ready to go hard line but before I could do that. I had to source a new top for the pump that would let me use g1/4 fittings. Which I found used on ebay and was the EK-XTOP DDC - Plexi that I ended up having to buy EKs mounting hardware since didn't get it when I bought the block. Then after watching another JAYZTWOCENTS upload lol I decided on what hard tubing I wanted to use after seeing the corsair frosted tubing he showed that looked amazing! And had to use it myself lol loop V2 first hard line set up pics incoming lol Yeah I know that the cleanest hard line setup on the gpu side or the cable management lol but considering this was my first time and made it harder on myself by watching to make sure both the gpu and the cpu got the coolest coming from the radiator. Which I saw as a must for my SFF BUILD. I have to say it came out pretty good. OH! At this point I also had come across a screaming deal I would of been stupid to past up on ebay for a brand new in box unopened 5900X for the price of a 5800X but not installed yet. Then my next upgrade after a few more months was a GPU I picked up on Ebay when prices had dropped for some new gen GPUs. I scored a Zotac RTX AMP HALO 8GB NON LHR version with waterblock just over MSRP and got ahold of a set of Phanteks T30-120 fans(3pack) finally straight from Phanteks but also decided the radiator wasn't thick enough to handle the heat soak that happens during long game playing since loop would start reaching up into the high 60°c to mid/high 70°c. I know this thanks to a temp sensor I put into the loop where I had the coolant coming out of the pump before splitting to go to the GPU/CPU and would randomly check Temps through Fan control and recommendation I got from JAYZTWOCENTS lol High Jay if you or your team is reading this by now but I digress... lol anyways.... as I was saying. I decided to also upgrade the radiator to a THICK BOY as Jay would say lol and since EKWB had a sale going on for the Monoblock for the ASUS X570I GAMING. I also picked that up since it was half of what is used to cost. Why not at this point lol and found a deal on deal on a 64g 4000mhz kit by OLOY on NEWEGG but this time wasn't white but damn did that ram kit look good and was a price that made it hard to resist lol and here's the current form loop v3 lol for now because I think I just might of found my dream GPU and I'm not going to say more then that till I'm sure I'm golden on it but here's loop v3 with the monster alphacool NexXxos monsta lol and Yes I kinda had to hotrod mod the case to make it fit all together lol but Damn it looks good! And yes I know some of the loop doesn't look the cleanest or greats but at least its functional/working lol. Though I admit I'm not sure how I Want to finish up the top lol. Got a few Idears kicking around in my head on what I might do. With being an over the road trucker and working on it when I can to tweak it and do upgrades when I can. I say it's looking good for being able to build my once in a lifetime dream pc build that I call "SILVER MISFIT" Crap! Just remember there's other upgrades I forgot to include but will later do a complete parts list later with everything in the build. But I need to get some sleep for an early morning delivery I have to make tomorrow. I do welcome any ideas on how to finish up the top of system and comments. Update 6/20/2023 Well instead of typing everything out that I used in my system I decided to make a pcpartpicker list and here's a link with as much as I could remember off the top of my head with prices I could find from the purchasing of items or it that was included with a purchase. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Ponchaz/saved/wRbyWZ Didn't realize how much I spent on my system yeah my bank account definitely was hurting after all this.... even more after latest gpu upgrade I bought. Won't know for sure if I got the real deal or scam till I get home to check it out myself but at least I don't have to worry about porch pirates because have someone at home to make sure it gets brought in lol. Well till next time. TTFN LOL
  7. Hey everyone my side panel on my P300A recently broke and Phanteks no longer offers the replacement part for the side panel. Essentially leaving me with nothing to have on the side of my pc. What would be the best thing to replace it without getting a new case? Something to possibly put over it to use as a diy?
  8. Hi guys, I would like to proudly present my first time self-build PC after watching LLT and other youtuber content for years, with specs details as below: CPU - Ryzen 7800X3D GPU - Sapphire Pulse AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT RAM - Kingston Fury Beast 16GB (8GBx2) DDR5 6000 CL40 Motherboard - Gigabyte B650 AORUS ELITE AX (AM5) CPU Cooler - Thermalright Peerless Assassin SE Case - Phanteks P300A Storage - Gigabyte Aorus GEN4 7300 PCIE 4.0 NVME 1TB (Main boot Windows OS) Kingstonn NV2 Gen4 PCIE 4.0 NVME 2TB (2 pieces each for storage) PSU - Seasonic Focus GX-850 Fully Modular Case fan cooling configuration - Front: 2x Phanteks M25 140mm Rear: Phanteks 120mm (given from case) Top: Thermalright 120mm (I attached the picture of the final build as well) My feedback request and concerns: 1. Regarding of top fan cooling, I initially wanted to have 140mm Phanteks M25 Fan, but due to PSU-CPU power Cable as picture below, it won't fit, thus I choose to use CPU Cooler fan instead because I only purchase 140mm fan. Is there some missing thing in my build that makes it not possible to install 140mm fan for top? or my poor of choice of PC Case (I have checked that it 'supports' 140mm fan, but maybe there are something that I miss) 2. PSU-GPU power cable,in JayTwoCents video, he specifically says that to plug separate power cable to maximize potential GPU power draw, because each PSU cable is rated +-150W, since my Radeon RX 7900 XT is 300W TDP, it means that I will not achieve full potential of my GPU if I only attach one cable (with tail) Since it looks not really good-ish to have hanging cable, is it a common practice to prune/cut the tail unused cable? or it's fine to leave it that way unless I buy an extra premium cable to make it look better? I would appreciate if you guys could point out the flaw in my build and how to improve it (preferable without buying an expensive upgrade, LoL) Regards (There is no segue to sponsor, sorry)
  9. So the new Phanteks fans have released and they have a reversed airflow option and what seems to be a regular option. Do I have to buy both sets for correct configuration or can I buy the regular and get them to spin backwards to achieve reverse airflow?
  10. Hello everyone, I'm currently in the market for a new case and the new Phanteks Airflow cases peaked my interest, mainly because of the glowing reviews from Gamers Nexus and other YouTubers. I'm looking at the P360A in particular but it apparently doesn't have any dust filter on the front intake mesh. My PC setup is in my bedroom so dust is a concern. Owners of this case, or similar cases from Phanteks, how fast does the dust build up/how bad is it inside the case? How often would I need to be using my CompuCleaner to clear it out? If you have other case recommendations for a similar price, £70 to £80, then please leave them in the comments too Edit: as requested here's the fan layout, I'll be using the 2 included front fans and adding my own 2 exhausts to the back of the case. I've read that positive pressure is better to reduce the speed at which dust gathers inside so I'll be setting the exhausts to run at a slightly slower RPM than the intakes. Thank you
  11. Well, the title says it all: I'm making a few changes to my existing build, but there won't be any major hardware changes; only for better overall cooling. Earlier this week, I managed to give away my previous case & fans I had in my "untweaked" build --[Corsair Crystal Series 680X & the LL120 RGB fans]-- mainly because I was an idiot & went with a case & fans that I thought would be good for me, but I kind of found out the hard way. So, "What will be different?" you might be asking. Only the case & the fans I'm going with while everything else will be the same. Like I said, this will mainly be for better overall airflow & cooling which should definitely yield some much better results compared to my previous attempt at my 1st build. The case I'm upgrading to is the Phanteks Eclipse P600S because IMO, it screams highly quality & I've heard LOADS of great things about it anyway & for case fans, I'm going with 4 of Corsair's ML140 Pro RGB fans. I had to do a little bit of research on my part to determine how my RGB will be setup. No worries, I found what I need to know on that. However, there are a few questions I have regarding this change I'm making to my build: 1.) Does anyone know how good the fans are that come with the P600S? I know they're 140mm & static pressure fans from what I know, but I don't know anything else other than that. 2.) Also, according to a source I read recently, the fan hub has a 5th port that takes a PWM signal from your motherboard & will apply PWM control to any other fans you have connected to the hub. What I'm wondering is will I need to hook up this 5th port on the fan hub to a header on my motherboard in order to have PWM control for the fans AND be able to have my RGB effects? [BTW, I should mention for the RGB setup, I'll be using the Lighting Node Pro & the 6-port RGB controller for the fans.] I hope that someone here can somehow help me out with this. You all know the deal- if you have any questions for me or need more details, drop me a line & I'll get back to you! I can not freaking wait to redo my build for better airflow & cooling! Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
  12. Budget (including currency): I would rather not sell my liver, please Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming (World of Tanks, League of Legends, Maybe some main titles, Etc) and school Other details : I recently purchased a new case, upgrading to the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv X. Parts I currently have are: Asus Sabertooth Z97 Mk 2 LGA 1150 Intel Core i7-4790K Devil's Canyon quad-core 4.0 GHz 1150 EVGA GeForce GTX 970 G. Skill Trident X series 16GB(2 x 8GB) 240-pin DDR3 SDRAM My conundrum is this. My Motherboard has no RBG headers that I can tell and the case comes with a 3-pin D-RBG cable for the case lights as well as a USB 3.1 cable that I also can not make use of. If im also looking to change other parts, what motherboard would be recommended? I don't mind upgrading to newer motherboards and CPUs, but I just don't know what I need or what direction to head. Does anyone have any suggestions? Side note: I also previously had a Corsair Hydro Series H115i Extreme Performance AiO, but the radiator grill received some damage, presumably from my cats, and no longer worked, so I'm in the market for a new CPU cooler as well. My old case was a Phanteks Eclipse P400S series Mid-Tower that started to warp. I use 140mm ML fans, a total of 6 scattered across my case at the moment.
  13. Hi there. First of all English isn't my native language. Feel free to ask where you don't understand. I want tı buy Phanteks Eclipse P400A which is 733TL (104$). I got Asus A320M-F which is haven't got any RGB and ARGB input. Can I use this case? Is thıs case contains fan controller? I intend to switch to MSI B550-A PRO in the future. Have you got other case suggestion? Most of the cases aren't sold in my country. That means I might have to use Amazon. Remember the tax when recommending the product.Thanks.
  14. I have the B450 Tomahawk Max, which has no 3-pin 5v headers for RGB. I want to get the Phanteks Eclipse P360A which comes with 2 ARGB fans and I want to buy another of the same fan (Phanteks PH-F120SK) for exhaust. So in total, 3 ARGB fans. I found this adapter which apparently can convert 3 pin 5v to 4pin 12v. My problems with this converter are: 1. Some people have said it limits your rgb to only static colors, so basically back to 12v functionality. 2. Only 1 3pin 5v port? Can I daisy chain all 3 fans and connect them to the 1 port or do I have to buy a 3 to 1 rgb splitter?
  15. Hi, I bought myself the Phanteks NEON Combo Set (2x RGB Strips with 5V) and hooked one up to my MB (Aorus B450I Pro Wifi), which has a 3 pin Digital LED Header (2A; 5V | D | NA | G) . When I then booted the system, the strip was not lighting up. I then tried to adjust the MB connector to assure a good fit. But the strip didn't light up at all. Unfortunately I have no other RGB Hardware for reference and testing. I even tried both strips, one at a time, but both don't light up. I also have RGB RAM installed which works fine and is even picked up by the RGB Fusion 2.0 Software. Reinstalling the RGB Fusion Software didn't fix the problem either. I also tested if the Digital LED Header was even working, and the 5V are coming through. Has someone an idea what could be wrong with my hardware, or what else I can try to get those RGB strips working? Could it be that the included adapter (Digital LED to 3-Pin) is not compatible with my MB?
  16. Can someone help me and write dimensions marked on the pic of the distro 140? Im trying to see if this thing will fit in Thermaltake view 71!Tnx in advance!
  17. I am going to college soon and I am trying to build a well performing rtx 3080 build that takes up very little space so that I can get through college without having to upgrade it or having to worry about finding a place for it. The Phanteks Evolv Shift 2 air is perfect for me in every way except one. I feel that the pcie 3.0 riser cable will lower my performance. I was wondering if anyone knows of any custom pcie 4.0 riser cable gpu mounts for this case or any pcie 4.0 riser cables that I can swap out with the one that comes in the mounting bracket. If anyone can help me out I would really appreciate it.
  18. I was thinking about getting a Phanteks Sk-120mm for my rear exhaust because I wanted to match the 3 front intake fans that came with my P400a-digital. But I was wondering if they are good. I know there are better options RGB or not at the price point and that's what I'm nervous about. I don't know if it would be a better idea to get the matching one or to get a different brand but have the RGB not matching. Or even getting a 5 pack of different fans to be my exhaust and replace the ones the case came with. Thanks,
  19. My case fans start to move a little bit but end up not spinning. The RGB works perfectly fine and sometimes if I spin the fan with my finger it starts but I don't think that is supposed to be the right way to do it. I have not been able to access BIOS because I do not have a GPU yet. I found out I was having fan issues because I turned on my pc to see if my fans worked. The CPU fan seemed to be working fine. Is this a common problem and are there any solutions? My case is the phanteks p400a digital and I am using the stock fans that came with it (Phanteks sk120mm)
  20. Hi guys I am looking to get a custom pc built. I would like to know your thoughts on the "Phanteks PH-EC200AC_BK01 Eclipse P200A Performance Satin Black Mini-ITX Mini Tower Desktop Chassis". I want to hear about your personal experiences with this case based on the following questions: - Is this a good quality PC case/chassis? - Are the thermals great? - Is it noisy? - Is it easily up-gradable/expandable (Fans, motherboard, etc)? - If you had to choose an alternative case/chassis which one and why? I look forward to your feedback's. Thanks and stay safe.

I was fortunate enough to come into a small amount of money recently so I went ahead and ordered the new PSU along with the GPU. Since those parts were brand new I decided I should go ahead and tear it down and do a deep clean on it since I never put the side panels on because I knew if I did I would procrastinate and not get it completed. I received the parts on Friday afternoon and about 6:30 I went ahead and got started with the redux of the build. Well about 12 hours later I was finally finished everything, I know you're thinking 12 hours goodness gracious LMAO, I'm disabled so I have to do things in spurts so I don't end up hurting myself any worse than I already am. I know I could use some 24 pin extensions along with the GPU cables, however, I actually love the way this looks because it doesn't look like everyone elses. A little caveat also is my name is Thomas and of course my screen name and nickname being TubbyTubb I know it's gonna sound corny but I love how the GPU cables and the water lines sort of make a big T, like I said corny LMAO. I apologize ahead ahead of time for there being so many links but I have an 108MP camera on my phone and the files are very large so I couldn't just drag and drop them in the box like I did the main picture I used to give y'all a glimpse of what you would see. I welcome any and all critiques and constructive criticism. The only thing I ask is for nobody to be rude because it doesn't look the way you think it should look. This is what I was able afford so I done the best I can. Some of y'all may have seen my other post in the custom loop section. I am planning on water-cooling both the CPU and GPU I'm working on getting all of the required parts to do that in the fairly new future. A couple or friends are sending me an EKWB EK-Quantum Velocity RGB CPU block for free and the other is sending me all of his bending, deburr tool, tube bending tools as well so I don't have to buy everything just to do one rig. I will probably invest in some of my own in case I get an order for me to build someone a system. Here are the pics: Completely finished This was when I originally "completed" it last year This is right after I tore it down you can see it obviously needed a good bath Of course I had the best helper/supervisor you could ask for LMAO I know my cable management isn't the best on some of them I was length restricted Let me know what you think please. THOMAS
  22. So i have the Lian Li Lancool II Mesh RGB and i am using the build in "RGB-Controller" for the front fans since my mobo (MSI B450 Tomahawk Max) only has that 12v RGB header. The manual says there is an aRGB header from the build in "controller" that is usable for argb strips, but it seem to be limited to only like 20 LEDs since the Phanteks aRGB strip i bought only lights up to about one third (total of 72 LEDs on the strip). My idea was now to use an usb rgb controller, but i am kinda confused as for which one to use and i dont really want to pay like 30 bucks for some whacky controller. Maybe anyone here ran into a similar issue and could share how they solved this.
  23. I just bought a Phanteks P360a case that comes with RGB lights preinstalled (two fans and a strip). My mobo (MSI b450m pro-m2) doesn't have a 3-pin RGB header so I bought the Razer Chroma controller. When I plug the header into the controller, synapse doesn't recognize it properly (when the case is in "software mode" it doesn't show up in synapse and when the case's built in controller is on it says it's just one strip/fan with an absurd amount of LEDs). After about a hour or so of chatting with Razer support they said it could be an issue with the unit I received. So I returned it but before I buy a replacement I just want to make sure it'll actually work. If it's not compatible I'll just upgrade my mobo. Thanks!
  24. I'm planning to buy Phanteks Evolv X or Should i buy Asus ROG Strix Helios White My build AMD 5900X MSI MEG X570 UNIFY MSI RTX 3080 NZXT x62 Thanks in advance!
