I hope someone can help me with this and thank you Edit: I borrow a gpu from a friend, re-enabled integrated onboard graphics, everything working again, maybe aorus no more, just problems since y change mobo...

Hi guys, I got myself a nice pair of HD600s to replace my Kraken. Back then I got the little Zalman lav mic that is sort of bad... Recently I upgraded that to a Mod Mic 5 und my Motherboard to an M Power Gaming Titanium. It has quite good onboard audio and it sounds nice when I record a short clip in Audacity, but for my friends to hear me in Discord, Teamspeak, Skype etc I need to amplify it via software +10 dB which obviously sounds terrible. Do you have any ideas how I can fix this?

Hi, currently i am having a problem where my main gaming rig is seems to be constantly lagging in games. when running a speed test on my gaming rig i only get about 300 down. when running a speed test on my server im getting the full speed 1gb down. iv tried uninstalling the Ethernet drives and reinstalling the latest drivers right off asus' website. still no fix to the slow speeds. I've tried switching cables, no fix is it possible the on board Ethernet port is failing/ not running at 100% potential?

Hi! I've got ALC1220 chip on-board. I'm thinking about getting Razer Soundbar and Kraken 7.1 V2. Should I get external sound card for these two products? And no, I'm not an audiophile, I'll just spend more if I can get better sound Primary will be used for gaming and music. Thanks!

running the simple 2D & 3D gpu benchmark from passmark on my HP envy15 3040-nr laptop with switchable graphics, the intel graphics is outperforming the amd graphics - WHY?? everything is up to date, I have the card selection in bios set to FIXED, so that card selection is done manually by the switchable graphics menu in the OS. What prompted this testing is: before today, i had the card selection via bios set to DYNAMIC, so the "high performance" amd graphics would be used on-demand by softwares. I noticed that chrome kept the amd graphics engaged, causing the fans to run at a higher RPM at otherwise idle (simply having chrome open). Is it possible the thermal compound needs re-doing on the amd chip?? it gives hot exhaust, not increased fan-spin of cool air. The system has had no stability issues. It seems that now the amd graphics are just better at creating heat and fan noise, with the intel graphics outperforming it. and fwiw, running heaven on this machine, the intel graphics beats amd as well: intel (9), amd (3). I would really value some insight and suggestions.

Hi, I have an issue regards to micro stuttering The game that stutters sometimes is Overwatch. The FPS (frames per second) reached 60 to 70 at low settings at 720p, but when it stutters, the FPS drops to 30 to 40. Is there any way to solve the stuttering everytime I play Overwatch? Thanks System Specs: Mobo: Gigabyte A320-S2H PSU: Xigmatex XCP-A500 CPU: Ryzen 3 2200G ( Vega 8 ) RAM: 8 GB (Single RAM) HDD: 1TB WD, 1TB Toshiba (small) Display: Chimei 6554A 2nd: Samsung HDTV LCD No GPU yet. Hey guys, is there a way to capture a HDMI stream with the onboard Intel HD graphics? I want to stream for fun and friends and when I use Streamlabs/OBS to capture my monitor/window it feels like there is a slight delay (like Vsync). But is it possible to output an HDMI cable to my onboard 8700k and treat it like a usable input? That should eliminate the delay effect, but I haven't seen anybody doing that. Helge

I understand that with 6 pin jacks you can connect stuff like a subwoofer along with other speakers. But with a 3 pin jacks, if one is mic and the other is headphone audio, what does the third port do. I don't know I'm really confused. I need some help thanks. This is my first PC build so please excuse me if this is a really dumb question. Another dumb question, after connecting the graphics card, if I hook up my monitor to the GPU on first boot, will it actually show display output even without drivers?

Hello guys so i was testing the differences between HDA and my Onboard ( ALC887 - 2018 Drivers ). If there's Sennheiser owners or other Entry Audiophile/Audiophile headphone users i would like to hear about your results. Little pic of my ghetto setup: Tested on: 25yo Male Ears Sennheiser HD 598SR Monitor ( as Amp/Connection to Nvidia via HDMI ) - LG 25UB55-B Motherboard ( Back panel )- GA-P61-S3 GPU: 980Ti Website: https://www.audiocheck.net Results: Test #1: https://www.audiocheck.net/audiotests_subwooferkicktest.php !Kick #6 Onboard: Rattling/Cracking on the end of the kick. Nvidia HDA: Clean and Smooth Test #2: https://www.audiocheck.net/audiotests_frequencychecklow.php No noticeable Differences besides the rattling and cracking in Test #1. Test #3: https://www.audiocheck.net/audiotests_frequencycheckhigh.php Onboard: Starting to suddenly notice only at 15kHz ( 16kHz pure silence ) Nvidia HDA: Sound slowly starts appearing inbetween 17-18kHz Test #4: Flac vs Mp3 Onboard: Nearly impossibe to hear the difference, sounds bit more muddy and punchier like as if there was extra layer of bass over the whole range. Nvidia HDA: Clear sound, easier to tell diference between Flac and MP3 ( mainly the soundstage details are better, youtube sounds muddy and noisy compared to FLAC, never noticed the difference between youtube and flac using onboard ). Conclusion: Get real amp/dac. F*#K Onboard. P.S. A friend had similar experience with ALC1220 + 598SR ( Ryzen motherboard, forgot the name ). Also im pretty sure even the best onboard can't drive the HD 598 since my friend has issues with the volume levels on his onboard both back/front panels ( ironically my 100$ 2015 smartphone and iPhone 4s can drive them ).

So I bought a new system today: Intel 8400 MSI Z370-A Pro Coolermaster ML240L Phanteks P400 Thermaltake TR2 S 650w 8GB Corsair Value RAM (DDR4) WD Blue 2tb There's no discrete GPU as this is not a computer for gaming, but rather just come cpu intensive tasks for which the integrated graphics will do. I go to turn it on, it posts and goes to the 'no boot device detected' screen - which is normal, there is no OS yet. I do it once more - NOPE. No display. Black screen, no signal detected. Welp, maybe the bios disabled integrated graphics? I put in an old gpu with DVI out and yay, I get a signal, however, when I enter the bios, it's not right [photo1] (according to what it should look like in the manual). From there, I attempt to use the small section of the bios available but it just gets worse [photo2]. I reset the bios settings to default, cleared the CMOS, put the ram into different slots, even attempted to update the bios: It booted into the m-flash system thing, displayed 'm-flash CPU 39 C / 102 F' for like 1 frame (1/60th of a second) then shut down the whole system. I'm very pressed for time and am unable to take the motherboard back to the place I bought it (because it's so far away). Literally any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi guys, posted here once before and got some good feedback, original thread can be found here: So to recap this is the hardware I'm working with: Asus ROG Maximus X code, seagate ST8000NE0004 Enterprise Nas hdd ( IronWolf Pro )*3 Samsung MZ-V6P1T0BW 1000Gb 960 Pro So it was suggested to me to use software RAID rather than onboard hardware RAID so I haven't had much testing time but yesterday I played around with Windows 10 Storage Spaces and then with the motherboard onboard RAID and transfer rates obviously fluctuate but I feel I get better transfer rates using onboard RAID...or am I doing something wrong? Any advice or thoughts on this? Any pros and cons I need to consider regarding expanding the array or transferring it to another PC at a later stage? I'm not really too concerned about CPU utilization when writing because with an 8700K I don't feel it's a huge issue. Also the PC is more or less standalone so for the most part I'll be the only one writing to it though might be multiple devices reading from it once I populate the drives and setup Plex Media Server.

im currently exploring parts for part of a server project. in which im aiming for several TB of capacity, and have it , in part, function as a file/ streaming server, using 4 HDD's. Im planning to use a raid 10 config to do it, but what im not sure on is this. would the built in controller on a board like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/ASUS-P9X79-LGA-2011-Socket-R-Intel-Motherboard/323050513655?epid=127392280&hash=item4b374fa4f7:g:scAAAOSwl2haQXc- be enough? the 4 sata ports i think i would have to use are sata 300. will that be fast enough for file storage/ media streaming, or should i look into an add in raid card? thanks in advance.

Guys! I need help! My motherboard's onboard USB 3.0 suddenly stops working after I openned and cleaned my PC. It was working before I cleaned it and it has not happened before. I normally clean my PC with canned air, that's it. But then when I start my PC USB 3.0 suddenly stops working, at least thats what I thought! The weird thing is, my keyboard and mouse still works, they're both USB 2 peripherals but they are connected to the onboard USB 3.0. And also front panel USB 3.0 works. Basically, everything works excepts onboard USB 3.0 Here's my full spec: OS: Windows 10 Digital Retail Version (Latest as of now) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H Rev 1.1 CPU: i7 3770K (OCed) RAM: 32GB of Corsair Vengeance (CMZ32GX3M4X1866C10) Soundcard: SoundBlaster Recon 3D PCI-e GPU: ASUS GTX980 Strix Capture card: This piece of shit (http://amzn.to/2djTz7o) PSU: Corsair HX650 Mouse: Roccat Kone Pure Keyboard: Ducky Shine 3 I've attached the device manager and the device property.

Hi, I have Realtek onboard audio, and I only use its mic input, which stops working (detects no signal from the mic) a few times a day, and requires me to unplug and re-plug the mic for it to work again. Disabling and re-enabling the mic in the Sound settings of Windows doesn't help, I have to physically unplug it. Audio output is handled by NVIDIA GPU's HDMI out. Suggestions?

Hello, recently my Logitech G35's have broken. I want to get the V-MODA Crossfade M-100 as a replacement, but I don't have a dedicated sound card or anything of the sort, just my Maximus Hero VI's SupremeFX. Would that be enough to get good sound out of the M-100? Or would would I really need a DAC / AMP / dedicated sound card for it to sound good?

Hello everyone! i have a huge question! Is there possible to uses for on-board graphics?" Even if you have a dedicated Graphics card. Is it possible to use the on-board like "a screen capture device" when recording and you're using the Higher end graphics to play high demanding titled games? My Computer specs (Excluding Higher end graphics card as i have not bought one yet) Processor(CPU or "APU"): AMD A10-7860K Radeon R7, 12 Compute Cores 4C+8G MAX Processor Clock: 4.20 GHz On-board Graphics: AMD Radeon(TM) R7 Graphics On-board Graphics Memory: 1024MB (1GB) DDR3 On-board Graphics Clock: 1029MHz (1GHz) Motherboard: ASUS A88X-Pro System Memory(RAM): 16GB 4x4GB Kingston HyperX Fury Back DDR3 System Memory(RAM) Clock: 1600MHz (1.6GHz) Solid State Drive(SSD): PNY CS1311 SSD Capacity: 480GB Power Supply Unit(PSU): EVGA SuperNOVA G2 550W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro Edition 64-Bit

Hello, recently my dedicated GPU died a honourable battle, but since then I have been using my onboard graphics(ati radeon 3000 hd) until I save up the cash to buy a new one, which will take me a while. OK so, I am playing some games that are being able to support from the onboard gpu, mostly Dota 2, which works well at 720p on lowest settings, so there are no problems there. The problem is with another game called Dungeon Siege 2. The frames of this game skips a lot, and I mean a lot. The screen just freezes for a second at most and skips to the next frame in consideration. I have no idea on how to solve this problem. I tried to work on the lowest settings, and at the lowest resolution as well(800x640), but it will still skip frames. The funny thing is that if my character stands still and there isn't much movement, there are no skips at all. It gives a steady 30 fps even at 1080p. But when I start walking or move the camera angle, or get into a fight, the skipping begins as usual. Anyone have any idea on what I can do to solve this problem? And its only this game that shows any problems, some of the other games don't show frame skipping, but may drop fps if I increase the graphic quality. My rig currently has a fx 8350, Msi 720gm p21 fx, 8gb ram and currently using the onboard graphics ATI radeon 3000. Also, I'm having uncertainties, regarding entry level GPUs, would there be any significant different in the gameplay? Because until I can get a new card, I was thinking of getting a cheap one for the time being like the Geforce GT 210 or something similar along the lines. Its available quite cheap. I tried to look for any used graphic card in my city, but most of them are out of my budget.

So i just got the SE315, the sound is great when its plugged in to my phone (Note 5) but when i connect it to my pc the sound is very sharp that it makes me uncomfortable listening to it. Is it because of the onboard audio on my pc? Do i have to buy an external dac/amp to solve this problem? Side note: I burned in the shure for 40 hrs and the sharp sound reduces but its still very sharp compared to when connecting to my phone. Also the connection setup on my pc is Rear 3.5mm port > Razer Blackwidow > Shure SE315 Does this affect the performance? Thanks

Hey guys! So I've decided I want to upgrade my audio solution, and I've pretty much narrowed it down to the Sennheiser game one / zero. So I wanted yours guys opinion on the following two questions. 1. Which one do you think is better? FYI, I have pretty a broad taste in music. I also plan to play games with it. 2. Should I get a sound card for either headset? I have the Asus maximus ranger VIII board with Supreme Fx 2015. (I've been looking at this Sound Blaster Audigy RX) Would that do the job? I am also open to other possible solutions, if you think this is a bad deal! Thank you ever so much!

Hey everyone! So here is the story; Preface: I am trying to upgrade my home network. I have bought 3 x Intel 4 port NIC's (Intel I350 -T4) to put one in the server (that I am currently building... interesting to say the least), and another 2 for each of the gaming rig's in the house. 1)a) So far I have no idea if SMB multi-channel is working as only one of the computers have more than 1 Ethernet Chord. 1)b) However, before I can delve into that problem I need to fix the issues I am having with the 4-port NIC itself: When using the 4-port NIC I cannot host a Teamspeak server that can be accessed via the Internet. I have forwarded ports correctly, and even went so far as to forward it for all the ip's on the 4-port NIC. No luck. It will only work through the onboard NIC for some reason... 2) SMB Multichannel: Once I figure out this problem above, I will make sure this is working and report back. (ie. This section will be updated) - [I can confirm that when using only the 4-port NIC I get traffic on all channels, but I won't know if its working properly until I have all the other computer having multiple Ethernet ports connected.] 3) Ultimate goals: I would like to have all local traffic being handled by the 4 port NIC's and the internet traffic handled by the onboard NIC's (Except maybe in the case of the server) If this is unachievable, then I would like to just run the 4-port NIC's in all rig's. With SMB multi-channel working, and still being able to host servers (like Teamspeak). I have a feeling there is a lot more going on here that is causing some of these problems, so I will do my best to give you guys all the information I can. And do my best to report back with suggestions I have tried. All and any help will be appreciated Regards, Jerim, of Australia PS: First time posting a topic here so please go easy on me Here are the Specs of each individual rig: Rig 1: CPU: i7 47770 @ 4.7 GHz RAM: 32 Gb (4 x 8Gb Cosair Dominator 1600Mhz) Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97x Gaming G1 WIFI Black Edition SSD: (1Tb) Samsung 840 EVO NIC: Intel I350-T4 Graphics Card: 2 x Nvidia GTX 780 Rig 2: CPU: i5 6500 RAM: 16 Gb (2 x 8Gb G.Skill Ripjaws V Series - 2400Mhz) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3 SSD: (256 Gb) Samsung 850 EVO NIC: Intel I350-T4 Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 970 Server: CPU: 2 x Xeon E5-2670 @ 3.1 GHz RAM: 128 Gb (8 x 16Gb Samsung Server Mem) Motherboard: Intel Serverboard (Not sure of the exact motherboard, But it is from the SP or SC line-up (ill post when I know the exact one)) SSD: (2 x 256 Gb) Samsung 850 EVO NIC: Intel I350-T4
