I have a weird where the pc will turn on, then freeze after a while, usually after I open YouTube. But then if I leave it to fully reboot itself the headphone jack wont work. But if I manually restart it at the power button it works perfectly fine. This would happen after I opened any application, like discord. If I didn't open anything for a while it would work fine but say after 5 mins of something not being open, if I tried to open something it would freeze the second it opens. I didn't mind it too much since it was a simple avoidance, just reset the pc during a freeze. But recently its begun to crash after about an hour of gaming, most commonly during Rainbow six siege. It'll work fine for 1 match then will crash midway through the next match. After a bit of testing I noticed that it only seems to freeze when playing online, I tried to play some siege against some bots and usually a crash would happen in the middle of the second match, but I managed to get to 5 with zero issues (besides getting lasered by advanced diff bots) I have tried scanning all my hardware, tried to play with a stick RAM individually removed with all 4 (didn't work) /sfc scannow (didn't work) 3 Fresh windows installations (didn't work) Tried preplacing my GPU (didn't work) I'm just out of ideas at this point. It also still crashes while not playing games at all, whenever I open something, lets say google. After about a minute it will freeze the screen completely or sometimes the screen will freeze but I can still move the mouse cursor for about another minute, then that will freeze. For both instances of crashing however a long robotic "EEEEEE" noise will play. Not found anyway of how to fix this and it seems a lot of people with T5 desktops have similar issues. Here are some mini dump files after I let it BSOD. This issue has been lasting for 2 years too long and I can't wait to fix this thing. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/16NpPsdGWEkNCSyAkAkL5mzLoBajviizH?usp=drive_link (I'll update for any ideas that I try and don't work, rn I'm trying driver verifier)

So, my friend bought Lenovo Legion Y530 (i5 8300H, 8 GB, GTX 1050Ti(mobile), 1.8TB HDD+Intel Optane 16GB). And back in the days when it was brand new it run very well. Its 2 years and since hi bought like brand new and it ran very well. Hi played games like PUGB, GTA V e.c. and wasnt any problem. But now first of all hi is experiencing FPS drops and shuttering. I have cleaned(hardware and os) changed thermalpaste (cpu, gpu) have uninstaled and re-installed drivers (nvidia and intel) have played with power options and still hi has this shuttering and lower FPS. Sorry for my language knowlege!

Hi guys I've bought Lenovo Legion 5 (2021) with 5800h and rtx 3070 few weeks ago. It was working absolutely perfect for first couple of weeks one day I noticed that I can hear some weird noise when fans spin up. To better describe it's like clicking noise it happens only once when fans start working. Temps are quite good while gaming for a laptop I guess: CPU: ~80 GPU: Stays under 70. If anyone knows what can be causing this sound and should I take it to warranty? Because I'll be left without device for couple weeks. This is my first gaming laptop so I have no idea how they behave. Here's a video:

I have my Lenovo Legion 5 (Ryzen 5 5600H, RTX 3060 version) since September 2021 and it has been working great until recently. Everything still works great, except Discord. 2 days ago when i was doing my school stuff in inkscape whilt talking to my friends on Discord, when my entire system became unresponsive. Desktop, apps and system just froze. I even tried to Ctrl+Alt+Delete, but it resulted in hard screen freeze, so I shut my system down. After that i've uninstalled inkscape, thinking it was it's fault and continued talking on Discord. Lo and behold, same thing happened. After booting up again I've decided to do some stress tests to see if it maybe was my laptop dying, but after 2 hours of testing everyting looked perfectly fine. I decided to explain my situation to my friends (on Discord obviously) and after around 20 minutes my system crashed again. I decided to see if maybe Discord was the source of the problem, since it was one of not many programs running while my system was freezing, and after uninstalling it everything was back to normal. I also reinstalled Inkscape to verify it was not it's fault, and without any problems I finished my work for school using it. I also reinstalled Discord once to verify it was causing the problem, and ofc system froze after around 15-20 minutes. I would really like to get it fixed, because now I have to use browser version of discord, and it works awfully, not to mention I can't use my side mouse buttons for Push to talk. I've tried disabling hardware acceleration on Discord, because some people on reddit said it fixed the problem for them, but it didn't work for me. help please

I’ve got a budget of 1500 USD, and I am in a market for a gaming laptop. 3 requirements: 16 GB RAM, RTX 3060, and at least a 120hz screen (more is better. from what I can see, my best options are: The Zephyrus G14 https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-rog-zephyrus-14-gaming-laptop-amd-ryzen-9-16gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-rtx-3060-1tb-ssd-moonlight-white/6452913.p?skuId=6452913 The Legion Slim 7 https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lenovo-legion-slim-7-15-gaming-laptop-amd-ryzen-7-5800h-nvidia-geforce-rtx-3060-max-q-16gb-memory-512gb-ssd-shadow-black/6455138.p?skuId=6455138 And the Strix G14 https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Display-GeForce-Keyboard-G513QM-ES94/dp/B08ZLH4GZ7/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=Strix+g15&qid=1632318527&sr=8-3 which of these would be the best option? Portability is not a large concern (pun not intended). is there nothing better at this price point? Thank you!

Today I put an order in for a Legion 5 Pro 6th Gen (specs below) and I ended up paying a whopping $2,549.99 CAD (before taxes). I started watching some reviews and Jarrod's Laptops recommended that the RAM be replaced because of the timings reducing gaming performance. So for the price of 2 new sticks (about $150) I could just upgrade to a better laptop. Then soon after I noticed that Dell has a much better laptop for not very much more money. The Alienware m15 Ryzen Edition R5 (specs below) fully maxed (after a $100 off coupon) would be $2,949.99 CAD (before taxes). Now Im considering cancelling my order from lenovo and buying the dell. I keep reading RAVING reviews about the Legion 5 Pro, even Linus made a video about it going on about how awesome it was... Is the Legion 5 Pro the better option here or is the Alienware a better offering considering the price/circumstances? Is there a better laptop out that that is cheaper? don't actually want to spend more money but to get anything next gen I'm kind of forced to throw money at the problem) Things I require in a laptop: A built-in Webcam, at least a 3070 + any AMD CPU (preferably 8-core), 16GB ram (32 would be nice), 1TB nvme ssd (2 separate drives would be better) also that screen... I dont think the legion 5 pro can be beat in how awesome the screen is but Im willing to downgrade if the price is significantly cheaper., Budget: Cheaper is better but willing to spend what I must to get what I want Specs for Legion 5 Pro 6th Gen: $2,549.99 (CAD) ● Processor: AMD Ryzen™ 7 5800H Processor (3.20 GHz, up to 4.40 GHz Max Boost, 8 Cores, 16 Threads, 16 MB Cache) ● Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64 ● Display Type: 16.0" QHD (2560 x 1600) IPS, anti-glare with Dolby Vision™, NVIDIA G-SYNC™, HDR 400, 500 nits, 165Hz ● Memory: 16 GB DDR4 3200MHz (2 x 8 GB) ● Hard Drive: 2 TB PCIe SSD (2 x 1 TB) ● Warranty: One Year Legion Ultimate Support ● AC Adapter: 300W ● Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX™ 3070 8GB ● Camera: 720p HD ● Keyboard: Backlit - RGB - US English ● Wireless: 802.11AX (2 x 2) & Bluetooth® 5.1 Specs for the Alienware $2,949.99 (CAD) Processor AMD Ryzen R9 5900HX (8-Core, 20MB Total Cache, up to 4.6 GHz Max Boost Clock) Operating System Windows 10 Pro English Video Card NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3070 8GB GDDR6 Memory 32GB DDR4 3200MHz Hard Drive 1TB PCIe M.2 SSD LCD 15.6" QHD (2560 x 1440) 240Hz 2ms with ComfortView Plus, NVIDIA G-SYNC and Advanced Optimus Color Choice Dark Side of the Moon with High Endurance Clear Coat and Silky Smooth Finish Wireless Killer™ Wi-Fi 6 AX1650 802.11ax 2x2 Wireless LAN and Bluetooth 5.2 Primary Battery 6-Cell Battery, 86WHr (Integrated) Keyboard Alienware's CherryMX ultra low-profile mechanical laptop keyboard with per-key AlienFX lighting AC Adapter 240W Adapter

Last post got ignored because it was too long and wordy, so here we go again, ill make it short and sweet... Is $2,549 CAD ($2,111 USD) (before taxes) too much money for a Lenovo Legion 5 Pro with 5800H, RTX 3070, 16GB RAM, 2x 1 TB NVME? I feel like i got ripped off somehow and I haven't even received it yet.

Hello LTTians, Mods, sorry if I've posted in wrong group. My device details as follows Legion Y540-15IRH Device name: LAPTOP-NV9RUEC2 Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz RAM: 16 GB GPU: RTX 2060 (6GB) OS: Windows 10 Home (x64) I'm facing heating issue when playing games, my GPU temp goes upto 85C, and when it reaches 85 celcius, my gpu is getting clocked down. BTW never monitored my CPU temps though, coz i've undervolted it as per the following guide. Bob Of All Trades CPU undervolting guide While playing games, I keep the back of my laptop elevated with a small piece of wood which doesn't block the air intake and also air exhaust. Need help in choosing cooling pad for my laptop. Please do suggest from the following Indian merchants, if I import and import duties are heavy in India. Amazon India Flipkart MD Compuers TIA guys, looking forward for replies.

I have legion 5i with intel Core i5-10300h @2.5GHz which should turbo boost to 4.5Ghz. When I run a game or any cpu intensive program the cpu clocks to only 4.19Ghz. Is it normal to boost to a clock lower than turbo boost at full load. How can I take advantage of full turbo boost if it is possible?

I am looking to try to take out the current 1660 Super on the desktop, but I can't seem to find how to take the GPU out from the case. The case is not normal as the bracket for the GPU does not have the normal screw placement. I am wondering how I can take out this GPU, or if the case even lets me.

So I'm not new to PC gaming, but I only recently bought my first windows based laptop. Its a Lenovo Legion 5i 17" , configured with an i7 10750H & RTX 2060. Right away I noticed it's a completely different computer in terms of performance when running on battery. Roughly 75% CPU and 50% GPU when comparing to being plugged in. Trying to figure out if this is software based throttling , or a hardware power limitation (the power brick is 230w, so maybe battery can't deliver sufficient power to match?). I've tried everything software-wise I can think of (battery power settings, disable power throttling in local group policy editor, custom power plan, disabling "dynamic platform and thermal framework" in bios (this helped most but not 100%)). So my questions are : A) Is this a common issue for gaming laptops similar to mine? Would certainly want to know if my unit is defective in any way. B) Is there a safe/effective way to enable full performance while using battery? I know this would drain the battery extremely quickly but it would be nice to have the option.

I finally decided to ugrade from my HP Envy Dv6. I landed on the Lenovo Legion 7i Slim. Since the order went in Lenovo has "Announced" the AMD version in coming soon section of their website. I'm wondering what sort of benchmarks or tests I should be running it through when it shows up. I am to make sure I'm getting good value. I am open to waiting longer for another laptop but I'm hoping this might be the one. I'm thinking of getting a Xbox game pass trail to run some AAA games. I'll run Cinebench, The blender test for sure. I'm going to try some sort of battery test. But this will be my first time doing this sort of thing. So I was hoping someone on here would have some ideas as to things I should definitely do and not miss. Side questions. Whould you should intel and TB3 or AMD and just USBC 3.2 Gen 2? Thanks in advance!

I have a Legion 5i gaming laptop with GTX 1650 graphics card. Yesterday Nvidia released new Driver update for Watch Dogs Legion. Should I update the drivers through Geforce Experience as few years back it was like that only the graphics drivers provided by the laptop manufacturer shoul be used in laptops. Is it safe to update through Geforce Experience or wait and hope that lenovo will some day provide an update for the drivers.

I have a very weird workload despite I have maxed out the settings in watchdogs legion. So my setup is: Threadripper 3960x, rtx2080ti,64gb 3200 cl16, 2x Gigabyte Aorus Gen4 M.2 2TB( so 4tb in raid 0 read speeds around 6-7gibs) on a Msi TRX40 pro board. So i playing on 1080p and have around 40-60fps with max raytracing and DLLs on max quality, the load on the CPU is low and not going over 30% usage what is ok with 24 cores at 4,20 GHz. The GPU load ist under 20% most of the time, there are some spikes that pushing up to 70-80% load for 2-3 seconds. The ram usage is around 10-12gb. What i saw and read in most of the articles is not matching with my results. So Im not complaining with the performance, but I don't now if there's something bottlenecking my, the ssd is not the problem ram is ok gpu and CPU also. Maybe someone of you have any idea, if there's is a problem. And maybe there are some frames hiding somewhere. The newest drivers from 30.10 are installed with the support for Watchdogs Legion.

Do you think it's worth a swap? A little back story is I wanted to sell my Legion 5 Pro 2021 for cash and wanted to get the M2 Macbook Air since I wanted to get away from that gaming life since the legion 5 pro, Is pretty tough to carry to places, Although it's a beast machine with a BEAUTIFUL DISPLAY, and somewhat good cooling, It's fairly heavy. I wanted to start focusing on what I do which is Trading Forex. Would you think this is a good switch? Something lighter with a beautiful display. Good FPS on some games and fairly light too? Do you think this is gonna be a good switch? I heard the G14 2022 is fairly lighter. I just wanna hear your thoughts on what you think with this matter. Or should I just keep my Legion 5 Pro 2021 since I'm not a rush on selling this beautiful laptop. I just wanna know if you guys have any experience with the g14 2022 and your issues with it! I'm open with any recommendations down below! Thank You!
