Yesterday with the help of @Ramamataz managed to eq my mic and headphones at the same time. Today I started to wonder, what are the best settings (EQ and so own) for the microphone to get good sound out of it? Would appreciate any help and a good advice I was thinking of getting podcast-like quality (as strange as it may sounds)

I bought logitech g pro x headset wired version today. So how should I set the eq for this headset? I mostly play warzone and pubg sometimes apex .

As title said. I've only just notice why the EQ setting isn't working ! Some reason, this board's Realtek software, the EQ is only for Digital Audio or SPIDF I guess ?? But I'm not using that, I'm using the 3.5mm jack to power my Logitech Z623 speakers. Seems like this board doesn't even have the Sonic Studio software ( if not mistaken, I try checking the Download page for this board, nothin. It only have the Realtek Audio Driver ) I wanna confirm, so I can't adjust my EQ if I'm using 3.5mm output ??? I cannot stand flat EQ, it sounds like shit....why did ASUS do this ?? I mean my previous board, Crosshair Hero VI even have the Sonic Studio to adjust EQ.... Here you can refer to the pictures below. Look careful on the Left Side option. Speakers is the output I'm using.

Hi, I was just wondering does anyone of you have SENN HD518 or can recommend an EQ for them or should I stay at flat eq? Graph: Myb even explain this graph a little bit. Also any recommendations regarding WAVES Maxx Audio Pro software and Sample rate/bit depth? I listen to music and game. I'm just educating myself with audio so any help or comment will be helpful. Stay Home and Safe!

I usually use my Sennheiser HD58X with my FiiO K3, but sometimes I just wanna enjoy some bass heavy musik and in that department the 58X are a bit lacking imo, perfect for everything else though! Since the M50X have quite the harsh treble I tried making them sound a bit warmer and add some base on top of it. The bass will be far to heavy for audiophile listening, but if you just wanna have a fun time listening to music thats what I came up with. If anyone has recommendations for improving my EQ, please tell me so! I use the FiiO K3 with bass and gain switch enabled + PC Equalizer APO:

I figured I would try and get the most out of the dollar store earbuds I buy by downloading an EQ for my phone (Nexus 6P), specifically so I could turn down the highs, hoping to make bad earbuds with sharp, uncomfortable highs a bit better to listen to at high volume. However no EQ apps seem to work. I was listening to Spotify in the background and messed with all of the sliders, but it sounds the same with all the sliders all the way up versus all the way down. Can't hear anything changing at all. I know that each app is at least somewhat functional, because they all also feature a volume slider which definitely does work. But nothing else seems to. I tried four different EQ apps all with many positive reviews saying they work great, all gave me this same result. What am I missing here?

I am just gonna be straight. Take a look at this pic Ok what the hell does that number means? Google just confused me.

Hey LTT, I'm looking to upgrade my Stream/youtube audio quality and I'm stuck between two choices: either going with a USB microphone (blue yeti, Audio technica AT2020) or getting a slightly more expensive EQ set up (Alesis Multimix 4 channel USB mixer or BEHRINGER XENYX Q802USB and something like a Sennheiser E835 mic). Of course I would also need a boom arm (like $20) and a shock mount (would be extra for a blue yeti but comes with some boom arms). Now the USB mics are $100-130, where as the EQ mixer and mic together would be probably $180-200. What would you all say is the better choice? Thanks

So I'm using Equalizer APO for control, Peace EQ for simple EQ changes, HeSuvi for 7.1 sound, and a Virtual audio cable. To link HeSuvi and my VAC, I'm using Audio Repeater KS. Every minute or two, I'll hear a crackling sound. I've set Peace to prevent audio clipping, but that doesn't seem to work. Obviously, these are a lot of programs all altering the same audio, but there shouldn't be much room for error. We can rule out Equalizer APO and Peace since I've used those with no errors at all. I read on a forum that with my configuration (Which is recommended by the HeSuvi dev as a work around for his software) will cause some crackling, and that the commentor didn't know why. I'm wondering if anyone else does, since it didn't seem like he looked for an answer. The main area I think might be changeable is the Audio repeater, since it changes audio buffering, output, input, and more. Thanks for any help you can offer. There is little to no info on HeSuvi around the net, so any input is helpful.

Ok so I have a pretty good PC and id like to improve audio quality I caurrent use a Logitech G 933 heaset wireless (can be wired but I like it this way and sounds great, just wonder if I can get some kinda of software EQ that would allow me to adjust it or would I be better going with a external DAC and maybe even a a yeti mic or something, I play to do a lot more streaming soon and I need to be ready before I do soo. plz no trools, this Is serious questions. which would be the better way to go, because Iv found no good software EQs and I know the headset is topnotch, also where I use it wireless it is USB, which can have a work around. but what your thoughts on a good DAC and MIC and EQ I could use to make this all even out as I am going to get a stream deck and a capture card. I look for you guys because you seem to be the most knowledgeable people I think in this sector, (wish I lived closer, id come wash floors to be involved with a company like this lol. but anyways whats your suggestions on how to get a good EQ for headphones (USB, but I can wire thme but that isn't as fun) and needs to be kinda standalone, but a EQ in a vid player, unless a good DAC would have one built in it with a AMP, so ty for help if you don't troll...but anywas I look forward to seeing your answers, while I....ooops drop my new intel i15-25,000k ah should be ok, but while were leaving check out my sponsors... MY Wallet, its leather trifold and holds money, very useful. til next time LTTers see ya then.

I'm looking for an app that lets me adjust the EQ settings outputted to me per program. For instance, my EQ settings while playing a game wouldn't be ideal for listening to music. Can anyone help me find an app that does this? Thanks

What's the point of an analog equalizer like the Schiit Loki or JDS labs Subjective 3. They cost quite a lot of money (100$ and 150$) so they gotta have some advantage over a software eq tweaking the signal before it gets converted, right?

I'm looking to get a pair of HD6xx for Christmas with an AMP and probably a DAC too (first time buying serious headphones), and after seeing various reviews i found out that the Sennheiser HD58x tend to have more bass and sound more exciting, while the HD6xx have better clarity and resolution n the high end but slightly lack bass. So i was wondering, using an EQ software on my PC, can i add that lacking bass WITHOUT losing the clarity of the high end? Also some AMP recommendations that can be used on a desktop pc would be useful

I have an error in my configuration editor in my Equalizer APO in choosing the iZotope Ozone 8 Plugins says Library does not contain needed functions. I am also looking for the supported VST for Equalizer APO. Thanks in advance.

Hello all, I just recently got an Arctis 7 from SteelSeries. As per many reviews around, the Dhoby surround 7.1 is not advised to be switched on when playing games as it sounds rather hollow. As such, I leave it off. Although it is switched off, I can still feel the surround capabilities in PUBG. Am thinking to enhance the directional sounds further with tweaking the EQ levels. Anyone managed to tweak it to a level that works well with PUBG? It is currently on default, gaming mode. Sometimes I do have some minor issues trying to locate the sound direction. Any advices ?

I'm thrilled with my newest silver (brushed aluminum) box from Schiit Audio Ltd... the Loki. If you're curious about it, these 2 links by Jason Stoddard and Robert Hunter can give you more background about the product. I’m having a blast screwing around with the knobs. For the curious, the following is my method: a. I hit the books. I borrowed a copy of Home Studio Recording For Dummies from my library. It had an entire chapter on equalizing ones' work. I made copies of Tables 14-1 (EQ Frequency Sound Characteristics) and Table 14-2 (EQ Recommendations per Instrument [15 different ones]). For newcomers like me, I'd recommend this resource for night-time reading. b. Add labels to my Loki. 1, 2, 3, 4 to match the knobs. c. I used Schiit's Loki manual to define "bass", " mid-bass", "mid-range", and "treble". d. Now the interpretation starts: I attempted to match the Loki's adjustment frequencies (20 Hz, 400 Hz, 2 kHz, and 8kHz) to tables 14-1 and 14-2. e. When I want to "add body or depth"... or "reduce muddiness"... or "cut sibilance [I think that's the hissssssss I used to hear in cassette tapes]", I use my tables and gently muck about with the appropriate knob. f. I keep my expectations in check. It's a great toy that helps me appreciate the ART of producing audio recordings.

Recently, I invested in a pair of Cloud 2s, and I have to say, one of the best purchases I've made for my PC. However, I noticed that when playing music, the bass was a little low and the treble was too high. I used EqualizerAPO, which I have had for a while now, and it worked like a charm and my headset was running better than ever. However, after a reboot, I could not hear anything in my headphones and my mic was not usable. However, if I took the 3.5mm connector out and put it in a 3.5mm jack on my PC, it worked fine. When I plugged it back into the sound box and went to "Sound" in settings, it said that audio enhancements were disabled and it was causing problems, and I thought it was over. I reenable them, and still nothing. After poking around a bit, I disabled all audio enhancements, and, low and behold, I could hear everything and my headset worked fine. With that out of the way, I tried applying the EQ again. Windows asks me to reboot as usual, and I get back in aaaaand.... nothing. Same problem as before. I open sound and an error message pops up saying that audio enhancements were disabled and asked me if I would like to reenable them, and just like before, I did so and no sound or microphone feedback. Disabled all enhancements and it works fine again. Can anyone explain why it worked at first and now I am getting the same error? For reference, I have gone into sound settings before and the error message would never pop up, but now it does every time I open it and I have to keep saying no. (By the way I have tried other EQs, same issue persists)

Mine just arrived and I'm loving them so far, I'm curious what others think. Also, I'd love to see @LinusTech's opinion, he's done some pretty serious HQ audio reviews in the past.

Hi, I am planning on buying the HyperX Cloud II's. Before buying i wanna know if music audio quality is improved with the USB Dac while surround sound is off. If audio quality is worse, what are the best EQ setting? Please leave the Hz and the Db. I personally like a nice, detailed sound with punchy bass and good mids and highs. Also, if you think flat is the best, does flat sound the same across most headphones? Or, is it different?

So I was looking for audio software, and I found the Sound Blaster X-Fi MB3 by creative labs. It essentially takes the features of Creative sound cards and puts them into software. link: http://software.store.creative.com/p/software/sound-blaster-x-fi-mb3 I wanted to ask a few questions. Does this work with driverless DACs (e.g.Objective DAC or FiiO DAC)? Have you guys had any experience with this software? Is it any good? How does it compare to something like Razer surround or VST effects? thanks.

So after spending about 3 days looking for solutions to my problem without any advancements, I can say, I'm finally done.. So, the mixamp works, I can change the volume and so on, but the surround function does not work and neither does the EQ presets. I hear no difference at all between the different ones. I have it plugged in optically and via USB, but if I plug out my optical cable, the mixamp continues to work, so all the sound go via USB. I have a z87-G45 motherboard and Siberia V2 headset for now but picking up Beyerdynamic DT 990 later today. If I still can't fix this after this, I'll probably send it back and get something else. My friend whose "good" with sound recommended this, but he have never used it so he can't help me. But I would appreciate all the help I can get! Thanks in advance.

I recently got a new headset, but without an EQ, it sounds really tinny (tested on my windows phone, which has a software EQ). There may be a utility for it with my motherboard (Asus B85M GAMER, has the audio "stuff" of the lower end RoG boards), but I can't find anything in my manual. I don't just my headset for listening to music, and really would like the EQ to apply to games too. Thanks in advance for any help.

Just curious how many people leave EQ flat, or if they tune it? Do you use hardware or software? I've got DT770s and I use EQ to raise the lows and mids and honestly I'm pretty happy the way it is right now. I just use the Realtek drivers so that way it EQs all the audio, instead of just EQing music from winamp for example.
