I've been looking to upgrade my streaming setup recently. I have a budget of 250€ with a MAX of 300€. I recently saw the elgato Wave DX on sale for 85~ euro and I'm considering going for it. I do have a few issues and questions I'd like to know about more about first however. TDLR; Is the wave DX good for deepish voices, should I match it with a non-elgato interface to fit my budget/what interface, do I go for something else like a podmic or at2020? :D 1. I've been told it's not the ~best~ for deeper voices, with it having a 50hz+ pickup compared to others in the same bracket like the podmic having a 20hz+, the dx also apparently has a very tailored curve for good mids. How bad/good is it really for deeper voices? 2. I can't fit both the 1st party arm and the wave interface within my budget. Is it worth missing the elgato software (which I've heard is a crazy good value) and going for something cheaper and less sleek like the focusrite scarlett solo 3rdgen? Or if any of you have another good 100€(ish) interface, I mean I wouldn't mind one with 2-3 buttons for soundboards or a build in eq. Also I know some mics, like the podmic loses alot of it's value when it's not used with the rodcaster, at least some people have said they struggle with the podmic output volume when they use a third-party interface (at least without an inline amp), does the DX struggle with that too? 3. Do I go for another mic entirely? I've looked quite hard at the options, of course the at2020 is a basically unbeatable value option BUT I personally don't like the look of it. Which for is important to me since it'll be seen on camera and I just like having a good looking thing in my face. I also looked at the t.bone mb7 beta on thomann which has some decent looking bundles within my budget but finding video reviews of it is really difficult since it's not exactly a widely bought mic. Thanks for reading... tho I doubt many people did but thanks!:D

I am searching for new microphone for gaming and streaming. I come across at some options here. Hyperx Quadcast S = $160, it has pop filter and shock mount included. Or Elgato Wave 3 = $172,no pop filter and shock mount included and cost $36 and $49 respectively. A Software that is very good by reviewers said. That cost will be $97 apart from each other. These prices are converted from Malaysia. Which one should I get?

I'm not sure if this is just for reporting bugs and getting help or if I am allowed to post the fix, and before anyone asks, Yes I did report the bug and the fix to Elgato before typing this. 2 Days ago, I found a bug with the StreamDeck software, I called an Elgato Technician at the time because I was unable to fix it after a couple hours troubleshooting, but neither of us were able to find a cause let alone a solution. So, today, like the curious technician I am, I decided to try and find the issue and fix it myself and, I did, kinda. The issue: After an attempt to gain a new token for the Twitter integration, the software suddenly crashed with the Twitter pop up being blank. The crash type ranged from a simple "not responding" to a full system lock up to a BSOD, what it chose to do was very random. I have however found a solution to the issue. The reason we were not able to diagnose this before is because the title of the pop up was just "StreamDeck" so it was not possible to know which Integration was trying to cause the issue, the only way I know it's the Twitter integration was after the fix and trying to reimplement the Twitter account, which caused another crash. The Solution: By installing an older version of the software onto a SEPERATE DRIVE and not to the default directory, opening it, then closing it after the crash, then installing the latest software to the SAME directory, you are able to somewhat bypass the Twitter blank pop up, it still opens but you are able to close it now. By doing so, you should have access to the StreamDeck software, go into your settings and delete the Twitter account you have connected to it. This does mean that you will not be able to use the Twitter integration but all other APIs should work just fine. Hopefully after my email to Elgato they will fix the issue in a patch, but for now, this should at least get you back up and running with the StreamDeck. I hope this helps someone and not just me, I saw that other people have had a similar crashing issues on Reddit. Update: Turns out this isnt just an issue with Twitter, I cant seem to get anything other than the default programs of the Streamdeck to work. I will try and get this working and update the fix, but for now, at least the defaults work Update 2: The crash seems to just be random, but it has something to do with the 3rd party applications.

I am trying to run both my gaming PC and my streaming PC with a capture card into the one monitor. Is this even possible? And if it is how can I achieve this. I want to be able to run streamlabs OBS on my main monitor while still being able to use the capture card in my second PC. Any help would be appreciated.

Ive tried for days and days to fix this but everything ive seen on videos is really unnecessary and has latency or just sucks. Im mainly talking about voicemeeter. But i really need a way to route my gaming pc audio to my streaming pc while also having my headphones still in my gaming pc. Hearing the streaming pc for me doesnt matter as alerts are not a problem i will have them pulled up on the gaming pc. Is there a way i can do this i also have the hd60 pro if that helps at all. Ive gone through using the audio for elgato sound capture but that required me to have my headphones plugged into my streaming pc which means if im not streaming and want to get on my gaming computer then i wont be able to hear anything. I really need help with this it seems way to confusing for what a simple task this should be.

I want to record my gameplay but I find that AMD's record function in driver is just suck and sometimes make some DirectX errors to game. Also tried OBS but the performance lost cannot be acceptable. So I'm planning to buy a capture card to record my gameplay. The problem is, I'm using a 4k 144Hz monitor. Is there any capture card support 4k 144Hz passthrough? recording resolution is OK to be 60Hz, both external and internal type can be acceptable.

Hi there, I just got my Elgato Key Light and it looks a little different that what I saw on YouTube and the internet in general: The LEDs are visible a little bit and there's a noticeable darkness in the middle left side (look at the arrow in the first image). Is this suppose to look like that in person? or should I return it? Thanks

Today I purchased an Elgato Key Light. I should prefice this by saying I have a home network with different VLANS, the two you should know about are the IoT and LAN. I should also mention I'm using pfsense as firewall. I took a PCAP of turning the light on and off a few times. Here's the firewall rule from LAN to elgato key light, at first I was trying port 80, but then I switched it to any just to see it if would work. I added a rule from the light on its subnet to any device on LAN I do have avahi enabled Looking for ideas on how to get this light working across VLANS. thanks

I have been having quite a few issues with the Wave XLR anywhere from crackling audio to not outputting audio at all. After sending various logs etc to corsair support, it is suspected that the hub I currently have it connected to is being overloaded, I have also explained that I have tried connecting it directly to the mobo in its own "group" of USB ports to try and avoid overloading the controller. Is there anything I can get that that will stop this, I they have suggested a separate powered USB hub, however I dont really want another hub off of my motherboard if I can help it. Not sure if there is a PCI-e expansion card or something that could be suitable?

Hey all, Hope you are all keeping well. I have been twitch streaming for a couple of months and have a 2 PC stream setup. I am running a Gigabyte H61-DS2 motherboard, with a i5-3470, GTX 750 TI. I am planning on upgrading my Unraid server so will have a i7-2600 and an Asus P8Z68-Z GEN3 motherboard (as the H61-DS2 does not come with USB3) available for the streaming PC. My question is could I use an Elgato HD60 Pro or Elgato HD60 S with the CPUs I have available and would I be better off with the PCIe card or the USB3 Elgato? Appreciate any help. Thanks

CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor Motherboard - X570 UD Rev 1.0 Gygabyte Gigabyte - GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER 8 GB GAMING OC RAM - G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 32 GB Display(s) - Asus TUF Gaming VG27BQ 144hz up to 165hz (OC) Hello guys, I am looking to free up the workload of my GPU, I often stream and play from the same computer. Therefore I am looking for a capture card that can record at 1440p at 144hz to match my monitor, or at 4k 60fps. Since I am in doubt, I am posting this because those two Elgato Pro Mk2 or AVerMedia GC573 seems to be most popular but I am wondering that by posting my ring specs I can get a prover recommendation, even from other card from different brand.

Hi, So I've been looking at getting a Elgato 4K60 MK2 for my PC. I know it's a great capture card but is there some other features it can do? For example I use my PC as a Plex server and game streaming would it take the load off my CPU if configured or is primarily for just hdmi inputs only? My PC Specs: MOBO: MSI Z97A GAMING 7 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4 GHz Quad-Core Processor GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6 GB Video Card MEM: Kingston HyperX Fury Red 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR3-1866 CL10 Memory Any help on this would be great. Cheers.

Hello everyone! Where do I even begin. So In the beginning of March resizable Bar just came out for AMD CPUS and GPUS. Since I have the hardware to support Resizable bar I wanted to take advantaged of it. When downloading the drivers to update my Vbios for my gpu I would get a message error saying that "Windows cannot find 'C:\Users\Stuart~1\AppData\Local\Temp\N3060TAML.F3.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.". I've looked at many resources and nothing has fixed my issues. That's the first issue the second issue is also really weird. I stream games on Twitch and record youtube videos. I recently just updated my streaming equipment and bought my self an elgato HD60S. When I plugged in the capture card there was error and wasn't recognizing my elgato and I looked online they all asked to manually install the drivers so I did. But I was getting a error message. So I thought it was the elgato so I return and exchanged the capture card with the same one and it was the same result. So I went back to best buy and bought myself the 4K60 MK2 capture card so I download the 4k60 mk2 drivers and guess what... it's the same error message as the previous capture cards. But looking at the error messages it makes me wonder these two issues and began to think it can hardware issue of my PC. Could it be that my SSD m.2 might be the issue? So I did a fresh install of Windows 10 and the same s**t was happening. At this point I'm giving up and hopefully anyone might the solution with this. If you need more screen shots please lmk. Here's my discord if you want to dm about this ------> StuStu#0001 Again thanks in advance for the help

Nearby me there is a $40 elgato capture card in like new condition. It's an Elgato game capture HD. Is it worth it?

I prefer the Avermedia, because It'll allow recording of high frame rates upto 240 on 1080P, which I prefer, because I can fiddle with slow motion effects much better that way. But on the other hand the Elgato 4k60 Mk2, can send out two separate signals allowing you to stream at (My pref. 936p) and even record raw non-overlay vod at 4k, but it's maxed at 60 FPS for recording

Hi, I am looking for a monitor to use for my xbox series x. I am choosing between a monitor with 1080p 144hz and 1440p 144hz. The problem is that I will be using an elgato hd60s game capture but it only records up to 1080p at 60fps so should i just get a 1080p monitor? Or can I play in 1440p and my viewers will be able to see only 1080p video with lots of complicated editing as I have a low spec pc. Also, the games I will be mostly playing are simulator like forza horizon and motorsport and f1 franchise. I will also be playing minecraft and rarely fortnite and other games of that genre. Please could you help and give any suggestions. Thanks

So the situation is this, I have a 165Hz Gsynch compatible monitor @1440p but it woks at that refreshrate only when hooked up with a Displayport (HDMI outputs 120Hz max) I see that elgato solutions need an HDMI input... And as far as I understand none of them can output 1440p @165hz (also what about variable freshrate? ) Also as far as I understand their best product (4k60s+) has a significant delay when streaming (like above 250ms? ) I dont care to become like a "game streamer" but some of my close friends moved out of my city and now we like skype each other or what not to hang out but this gets a little tedious if our "sessions" last more than an hour and they do usually, because its not the same as hanging around in a bar or at someones place there are moments where there is silence or whatever etc. So I thought (since I am the only gamer, the other dont game but e.g when in my place they liked watching me play and brake my balls with every small detail they see which was getting into my nerves but I somehow miss that now ) that I could like play a game and have them watching and talking to me so me playing the game could fill up those intervals of silence that happen usually when we e.g talk to each other via discord or skype. The issue is that I would like to have as close to 0 latency (so that they wont ask stuff about the game footage they see that is in the "past" on my perspective and confuse me while playing like "oh you didnt pick up that thing!" "What thing?" "the thing next to the desk in that room" <--- which would be a room I already left etc) But I also would like to keep 165Hz and variable refreshrate on my monitor. Last but not least I would like to feed at least 1440p 60hz on the stream. (so having the device bypass on my monitor to hdmi is a no go) So what streaming solution (doesnt necessarily have to be from elgato) could work? Also would there be flickering issues if eg. I hook the GPU to my monitor via DP (165hz variable refreshrate) but the device (e.g elgato) to the HDMI (as a second monitor) since over HDMI the GPU could not give 165Hz feed? Last but not least could suggest to me headset with more than decent microphone and at least ok sound? Money is not necessarily an issue but I would like the best bang for the buck. Thanks

What is the Best Capture Card that has AT LEAST 4k 120hz passthrough with the ability to Capture between 1080p - 1440p 60hz? I want to capture my Main Computer (MacBook Pro) Screen and use my Secondary Computer (Windows PC) to be able to take those visuals and Stream it to Twitch via OBS.
