Hello, my request is simple if possible. Someone with a 13700k/13900k validate some of the information for me for academic reasons (I don't have an LGA 1700 K series CPU to test this myself): Does the 13700k/13900k allow the user to down configure the cores like it does on AM4/AM5? Example being that I can turn my 7950x3D into a 7600x3D or 7800x3D or 7900x3D by manually reconfiguring the CCDs. 7800x3D being a 1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1, 0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0 CCD configuration in the AMD Overclocking section of the UEFI. If that is possible, does down configuring the 13700k/13900k lower the reported quantity of L3 cache that Task Manager's Performance section reports? I've heard of people turning off E cores, which would give a similar scenario since based on Intel's binning scheme, each E core cluster of 4 E cores enabled adds 3MB of L3 cache, similar to 1 P core. The theory being that if a 13900k can be down configured to a 13600k but with more L3 cache, how much does that matter with respect to performance? Requesting a suite of benchmarks would be too much an ask in this, so I'm simply wondering if it's even the case or if access to that 3MB of L3 cache goes away with it, similar to what happens in Intel's binning scheme. Example: I know Windows does this because it's how I can validate my down configurations, since a pseudo 7700x with CCD1 only will show less L3 cache than a pseudo 7800x3D with CCD0 only. Ok, Roblox has been down since yesterday because of the Roblox x Chipotle Event. Apparently, 14 million people tried to join, which caused Roblox’s servers to go down. The entire Roblox community is in shambles right now and also they apparently lost 99% of their active players because of the outage. It’s still number 1 on DownDetector, so it probably won’t be up for a while. And Halloween is soon, so if they are back up, it might just go down again. Bad timing Roblox, bad timing.

Hi there, I'm having issues with a new build that've I've put together myself. The machine will abruptly power off when using Cinema 4D and Octane. It completely powers off and all that's left is some lights on the motherboard. It only seems to happen when I'm rendering (which uses both GPUs). Here are some of the steps I've taken: Checked event viewer but the only log I can find is a critical error "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly." Checked temperatures (everything is watercooled, liquid when rendering doesn't exceed 45c when rendering, each component temperature is fine (both gpus are 53-54c, cpu is about 57c when rendering). BIOS and everything is up to date, latest drivers etc. Here are the system specs (nothing is overclocked): Ryzen 5900x 64GB of DDr4 3600 Ballistix Ram (4 sticks of 16) Dual 3090 FE in the EK Quantum Vector Waterblock Gigabyte Aorus Master All the water cooling components are EK (2 rads, d5 pump etc) 1200W ROG Asus Power Supply 3x M.2 Samsung 980 Pros (1tb each) 2x Samsung 870 SSDs 6 Corsair Fans with RGB The Corsair Commander Pro for temperature control + Lighting node Windows 10 My first instinct is the power supply - I was kinda worried it wasn't enough power (I originally tried to get the 1600 Corsair one but it was out of stock) but everything seems to be within the limits (both gpus at 350W, Ryzen at 220W at full load still leaves 280W spare for everything else?). I've run some tests where I've been rendering and ran Prime95 at the same time to get everything drawing as much as possible but it doesn't shut down. But I can be using C4D and maybe moving the camera which doesn't really use a lot of CPU and the machine turns off. It's happened about 4-5 times now. It doesn't happen when gaming (games only tend to use one GPU). I'm at a bit of a loss to how to troubleshoot this one. Maybe the PSU is overheating? I don't think I've ever heard it's fan turned on (it does occasionally make a noise as it whirs up for half a second). The switch for silent mode is disabled. I'd hate to RMA it because this is my work PC and I can't find any others in stock at the moment. Any help would be appreciated, thank you. So lately my computer has randomly been shutting down, usually while I am gaming or working for a few hours, where I get to receive this warning: My first thoughts where that temps where going too high, but I've checked that the cpu floats between 40ºC and 60ºC. And the gpu stays somewhat consistent around the 70ºC I've read that it could be due to voltage settings, but I don't understand much of this and haven't really messed with them if I remember correctly. (I attached an image from asus AI suite to see if it helps) Which leads me to think that the psu needs replacement, but I'd like to be near certain that it really is the psu before spending some money on a new one that might not fix the issue. I got a new mobo for my PC and it is the same as my old one but now I turn on my PC and keeps rebooting every 5 seconds is my motherboard DOA my other parts worked before.

So I have an i5-6600K, GTX 1070, and a Gigabyte GA-B150M-DS3H mobo. With 16Gb 2133 RAM. In games, video editing, and streaming I am not seeing results in performance that I am expecting to see and the system seems slow for parts that are relatively mid-high tier. I dont have any viruses and realize that I am unable to overclock my cpu due to the mobo. Any ideas for the possible slow down would be appreciated.

Hi, While playing Battlefield 1 my computer will sometimes restart without any warning, blue screen or error messages. It is basically like someone took my computer and unplugged it from the wall. Note before reading: I disconnect my drive the safe way (through windows), and I am using USB 3.0 on the back of the motherboard. The SSD being tested is an 840 EVO. File system is NTFS. After much testing, I'm starting to see a pattern. See, I noticed that when I went to try to copy a folder from a HDD to a SSD containing ~13k photos mostly png and jpg it started fast and then gradually slowed down to ~17mb/s. Inatech SSD enclosure: I didn't get an SSD just so I can transfer stuff that slow. Here's where it gets complicated, try to keep up. I disconnected it and reconnected it. Tried again but same thing, it was slow. I decided to test a different external drive enclosure. Sure enough, when I plugged it in, it was going faster initially and for longer, then slowed down, so I thought I had a bad SSD enclosure. SSD enclosure #2: To make sure, I connected it to a 3rd enclosure. It also was going fast. SSD enclosure #3: So I figured my Inatech SSD enclosure was bad. BUT, I went to plug it in again and test it and noticed it was going fast this time. That doesn't make sense. Inatech SSD enclosure Run #2: Here's my conclusion of what I think is the reason why, and also I want to know why Windows does this (assuming this is a Windows thing). I noticed that sometimes when I tell Windows to disconnect my drive, the external drive's disk usage suddenly goes up and Windows says it can't disconnect it. It's writing to the drive at around 20 mb/s but it's not filling up and system memory usage isn't changing. I try again to disconnect it while it's in the middle of writing to it and suddenly I can. So far it seems that whenever this event happens, if I plug in the drive again, it suddenly starts copying files much faster. The result: If the drive gets high write speeds suddenly when I want to disconnect it, the next time I plug it in it will perform a lot faster. It will gradually slow down and this process will need to happen again to get fast speeds (but it doesn't happen every time I tell it to disconnect). So what is happening that causes this to happen? Here is the program in task manager that is writing to the external disk like crazy on some times when I try to disconnect it.

Hey there! I have two 4k LG monitors that I have down scaled to 1080p because of many reasons. Mainly being streaming down scale from 4k to 1080p looks horrible and takes a lot out of the CPU. Also swapping from one monitor to the other is a bit of a pain when one is set to 1080 and the other is 4k. My question is, is there a way to make the monitors not look like absolute garbage in 1080p. When I'm in game it looks fine. I used 1080p monitors for as long as I can remember and down scaling my 4k to 1080p looks disgusting. Almost feels like i'm using windows 95 with the scale turned up to 200% (it's at 100%, the lowest it will let me go)

Hi there, When I have an internal harddrive connected to my pc through sata and power from the power supply my harddrives never ever spin down no matter what. That includes the power management I've set and using HDDScan to manually do so, they just spin right back up instsntly. I do not have any reads or writes going through them, no handles or dll files accessing them or any programs on the drives running. I can connect them to an external bay that connects through USB 3.0 and then suddenly they do spin down with both methods. I'm not sure what I can do to allow them to spin down when they need to. Any advice is appreciated. The motherboard I am using is the Asus Z270F. Thanks

Here's the link to the article Other than being "sensational" and "exaggerated" (no surprise there coming from tweak town) it is true and it is finally happening. The difficulty of mining Etherium went up by a lot, and it's price went down, so, without being dead, it's not as worth it to mine anymore. If the difficulty keeps on rising, expect to see a lot of video cards flood the used market. Also, this is too bad for companies like MSI and Asus who were building "Mining gpus" that didnt come out in time...

So my PC is doing very strange things. When my PC is under load playing certain games the lamp in my room flickers in correspondence to the stuttering of the fps in game and as well as the metrics in msi afterburner. As the game stutters and the msi stats go up and down my lamp flickers at the same rate. Ive posted images below to what happens in msi afterburner.. My temps are fine from what I can see. I know its a bit hot but people with the same gpu as me get the same temps. I thought it might be a power issue so I replaced my power supply and gpu but the problem didn't go away. I don't think its my FX-8350 bottlenecking my gtx 970 cause a friend of mine has an fx-6300 and a gtx 970 and doesn't experience the issues. Anyone have any ideas? This is my first post sorry if I am breaking any rules. Also i'm not sure If I need to include my specs cause I have them detailed on my profile. P.S I would like to include that this issue only happens in certain games.

For the past couple weeks I have been experiencing predictable shut downs while playing demanding games and performing intensive tasks, the two prime examples being Blender 2.8 and Elite Dangerous (within minutes of loading a save). Until last night, I had presumed that all of those crashes were isolated to Windows, as I was able to run Blender and play games just fine in Linux... until last night, when I saw my first shut-down while playing Elite Dangerous. Linux can apparently handle Blender fine, but Elite failed at the same point as it does within Windows. The temps never exceed 70C for GPU and CPU, which make me think that if it is a overheating issue, it's more of a sudden thermal spike causing an overheating shut down. I experienced the exact same shut downs a few years ago with GTA V, but the problem was solved when I lowered the min/max CPU states in the power plan settings. The same can not be said this time around, however... I lowered the min/max states all the way to 60/65 respectively, with the shut downs ever present. Before I was experiencing the predictable stream of shut downs, I was experiencing BSODs relating to memory management; these BSODs never happened during gaming and usually only happened shortly after powering the system on or while shutting it down, and usually only once a day. However, after running Windows' Memory Diagnostic Tool, no problems were found, and after several reseats of the RAM sticks, the problem went away. Within a day or so of clearing that error, those BSODs were replaced with predictable, albeit worse instantaneous shut downs, though about 10% of the time the system actually restarts like it's supposed to do. I ran MemTest86 overnight and it did not report any errors, so if there is something wrong with my RAM, Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool and MemTest86 are unable to find it. I'm dumbfounded as to what the culprit could be; faulty sensors, a failing motherboard, CPU, or GPU, or is it my disconnected CPU heatsink-to-motherboard mount? I'm at a complete loss, so whatever you fine, intelligent folks need to solve, or at least point me in the right direction of, my problem, please let me know and I'll gladly provide you with any and all info you need regarding the laptop.

Hey Since a while i have a Problem that when i download a Steam game the Internet of my whole House goes down for a few Minutes. Sometimes it happens immediatly, sometimes i can download like 20GB+ before it goes down. It comes back after a while of pausing the Download and just waiting or rebooting the Router. We do have a 250 mb/s down, 50 mb/s up connection so that should not be the Problem. Steam download speed is about 20-30mb/s. This happens just in Steam, on Origin, Epic, Battle.net etc. i can download as fast and as much as i want and it works fine. Also if i cap the Download speed at 10MB/S it also works, but thats not what i bought a fast internet connection for. Any idea why that is? How can i fix this?

Hello. Quite recently I bought an ultra wide monitor for my PC. It's actually the very first monitor I have that is connected through Display Port. Every time I stop using the computer, I also turn the display completely off, because I don't like the flashing power led when it's on stand by. I noticed that when I turn off the monitor before the PC, the PC will somehow stay running. The motherboard (Z370 AORUS Gaming 7) has RGB lighting that turns off, but the power led and all the fans (CPU, Case and GPU) remain on. The PC remains in this "running state" until I power on the display again. When I power on the display, the PC shuts down completely. Is there any way I can prevent this from happening? It's quite annoying to have to wait for the PC to shut down in order to turn off the display.

Personally I am not why this keeps happening. I think it might be my PSU not having enough power. So we have heard about apple slowing down older phones and i don't really care since i am no fan of apple and have never owned a product and had hoped to never do but it will change. I am getting an iphone 5 as a phone to use until i can buy a new android phone for the single purpose of getting to use a very important app. Here in Sweden we have an app that you can prove who you are online. All banks and goverment site uses it. And they have now updated it and it needs Android 5.0 and iOs 9 as minimum. My current phone is an Samsung Galaxy s4 mini that can only get to android 4.4.2. You might not think this as an important thing but i need the app to access goverment sites were i can apply for help with rent (a good thing we have in sweden for low income households) and another app that makes buying used items easier as cash is not something that is used here much. (we are very digital in Sweden some stores don't even accept cash) I read an article about the slowing down and they say that i came with the iOs 10.2.1 when they fixed a bug that iphone 6 users were experiencing with the phone just shutting down. Am asking since my s4 mini is not the quickest and on paper it's faster then an iphone 5 but just by a tiny bit. If this article is true it should be "safe" from the slowdown if i don't go above iOs 10 as i don't require higher then iOs 9 for the apps. What is the truth? or is the slowdown not that large?
