Playing Dark Souls 3 on PC. When I travel from bonfires, after the loading screen the textures in the environment take a couple of seconds to load. The textures are all there, just low resolution until the detail pops in? I'm asking as I just upgraded my graphics card to gtx 1050 ti, and Dark Souls 3 is doing some funny stuff. Glitch? Vram issue? Is it normal? Anyone else see this?

The Issue is that dark souls starts up with a white screen with only the cursor then the screen goes black and opens it what it claims is 1080p but clearly is a much lower resolution like 720p. The only way to get it to run in 1080p is to change it to windowed mode. And Yes I do have a 1920x1080 60fps Plz Help

So I have played a little of Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition on PC and I am tired of the bad graphics and poor fps does anyone know how to fix this to give 60fps 1920x1080 and better textures. I BASICALLY AM ASKING FOR THE BEST GRAPHIC ENHANCING MODS

I picked up DS3 recently and the controls on PC are, well some of you might know. I've been told that controllers are a lot better for this game so I'm going to pick one up. I've also heard that the Xbox 360 controller is the best for PC but what about the XB1 controller? Is that any good? Would love to hear from anyone with experience in the Dark Souls games on PC or that uses a controller on PC. Thanks.

So I got Dark Souls Remastered for the PS4 and... Eh? It's enjoyable, however a few nitpicks here and there that I'd like to see if I could fix in a PC playthrough. Now I'd like to be notified if these mods already exist, otherwise I'd actually like to try my hand at modding the game myself, so I'm ordering these from seemingly the least difficult to make to the most difficult and complex. 1. An F-ing pause button Just Imagine being halfway through a boss fight when you suddenly realize, you really gotta pee. Or something else. Real life doesn't wait for your game. Unfortunately there's also a lot of video games that don't wait for real life. So as long as you're playing in offline mode, there needs to be a way to actually pause the game. 2. Better archery gameplay I looked up gameplay of both Demon's souls and Dark Souls 2 to see how they did with archery gameplay. As it turns out, they both do it way better. They have an actual targeting reticule. So what happened with From software on DS1? My hope is to be able to just import the archery gameplay from DS2 on PC directly into DS1. Creating a whole new archery system would be far more difficult. 3. Easier covenant advancement for offline players It is considerably more difficult for offline players to advance in covenants. The least difficult the ones that simply require humanity to asvance. So I'm looking for a way to earn Covenant specific items easier during offline play, and I've thought of a way to do that: 4. Boss Rush mode This is probably my most gleshed out mod Idea. Teleporting from any bonfire to a new cell giving you access to weapon Buy/sell/forge shops, and a boss rush mode that'll give you access to exclusive rewards, on top of the normal rewards you get from defeating those bosses normally. Now, you can only "boss rush" up to the last boss you defeated normally, however New Game Plus players can play against any of the defeated bosses of any past iteration, (meaning you can fight the first boss of a fresh game using a NG+6 character) I've thought about trying to reverse engineer the architecture of firelink shrine to make this Boss Rush area, creating the firelink shrine before it became a ruin.

Hello Ive been struggling for a while to get a ps4 controller to work on dark souls. It used to work but recently it does not whilst using input mapper. I dont need input mapper to work just any program that will please, if anyone could let me know how they run controllers on dark souls it would be very helpful. I have already tried Input mappers solution, to exclusivity problems but it hasn't helped. The input mapper program works fine for other games ive tried e.g. skyrim, fallout, dark souls 3 I suffered similar problems with DS4 windows Thank you

1.What happen if u killed Gywnevere before she gave you the Lord Vessels? 2.What happen if u run out of your health bar in dark souls 2? DS2 has a death penalty so each time u died your max health will be decreased also that old red hooded lady mentioned that if you keep losing your souls u will turned into hollow. I havent tried both of those things. Anyone?

This is my first post to the forum after Tom's Hardware didn't help me. Any time I try to launch Dark Souls 2 SOTFS or Dark Souls 3, they both start with a white screen and then immediately crash. Windows says the program isn't working and it closes. I have tried NUMEROUS fixes I have found on various forums and I will try to list them all here. -Unplug controller -do a clean install of gpu drivers -uninstall microsoft c++ drivers and reinstall them -rerun prerequisites of the game/update directx -run the game with the hdmi cable unplugged then plug it back in -redownload/reinstall the game -verify integrity of game cache -run program as administrator -install Acer monitor driver to override existing TV driver -force GPU scaling in nvidia control panel -duplicate the window when the game launches -run the program in compatibility mode -tried various launch options in steam -praise the sun Nothing seems to work. I have likely tried solutions that I forgot to list here because I have tried all that I have found. This exact PC setup used to run both DS2 and 3 flawlessly and I completed both games in the past on this pc. The ONLY change is that I installed an SSD. Are there any essential files that the game requires outside of the steam folder that I may have not transferred to the SSD when I switched to it? The only other thing that is unusual regarding other games is that my Smite game will run DX11 mode, and it will run 64-bit, but for whatever reason if I set it to run both it crashes immediately. Any reason why a 64-bit program wouldn't run at the same time DX11 would? I have the newest pro version of Windows 10, none of my games or programs are pirated. PC specs- 2x GTX 660Ti SLI i5 3570k @4.2ghz asrock z77 extreme 4 motherboard Gskill Ripjaws 8GB RAM Seasonic 850X Gold PSU WD Black 3TB HDD Samsung EVO SSD My audio is being played through my ATH M50xs connected to my Blue Yeti microphone. So, Ive been wanting to play Dark Souls for awhile now, but haven't really got the chance too. I've played Bloodborne before, but to be honest, I didn't really like the game for certain reasons. But, I feel like Dark Souls looks better, doesn't look dark and gritty. Can someone give your opinion? I want to get Dark Souls 1 (Xbox One BC), Dark Souls 2 Remastered and 3 on PS4.

So couple days back i bought darksouls 2 and i've been watchin speedruns and walkthroughs for it and now i get to my problem, when i see everybody defeat dragonrider and go to the miracle lady they buy lightning speat and they get 10 uses like right off the bat and when i buy it i can only have 3 uses?! What's that all about?

Pre-loading of the dark souls 3 just finished on steam. I can't wait for the endless frustration. Seriously though, I'm super excited for this game, and I can't wait to play a version on the PC that's not hobbled, or hopefully not hobbled, anyone else getting it day/pre-loading it?

Hi guys, I figured I'd ask this here since Google is failing me and my testing hasn't given me an answer yet. To make a long story short, I'm playing the latest version of DS:PtD edition on PC. I'm trying to play at 60 FPS with DSFix 2.4. No matter my settings, my monitor will go black while I'm playing. Not black, as in the game is not rendering, but black, as in the monitor is turning off. It's not, because it almost immediately comes back on. If I were to push the power button, it takes a moment for it to turn off and on. But the black it turns is definitely "the backlight is off" and not "the screen is rendering a black image". It is not a monitor issue, however. Any other game is fine. Dark Souls is the only game that causes this. I've tried any resolution from 720p to 1440p. I've tried toggling all other options in DSFix (AA, AO, AF, DoF, etc.) from max to off individually. I've tried turning of texture overrides (as I've been trying to use mods as well). I've even tried turning off FPS delimiter (i.e. able to go beyond 30 FPS cap). That has not fixed it either. I've tried going back to older AMD drivers. That hasn't fixed it either. I've tried monitoring resource usage. Nothing is stressed. CPU is fine. RAM is fine. VRAM is fine. I/O on Storage is fine. Temps are fine. I don't really know what could possibly be the issue. And due to the nature of this game, the issue is game breaking. The screen will go black for anywhere from a split second to 10 seconds. Has anyone else had this issue come up? Anyone find a solution or have heard of others who have? I know I've played Dark Souls with DSFix before, but not on this computer. It is such a strange issue (causing my monitor's backlight to effectively go off) that I just don't even know where to start after all that testing. Thanks, Tremor.

Hi recently started replaying Dark Souls. Got through most of everything pretty good but now I'm stuck at Four Kings. If anyone wants to coop, I am in Germany and Soul Level 59. hey guys. I'm currently trying to max out the heirs of the sun covenant in dark souls 2 but I think I joined to late to the party. I'm missing 18 sun medals and no one summons me. I'm running windows 7 and I have the latest version of Games for Windows Live, but every time I try to start the application nothing happens. This also happens when I try to run Dark Souls via Steam. I know GFWL really blows, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
