I could not find information about it. My parent's PC use that one and I wanted to give them my 1440p monitor, all they do is Youtube, Facebook, etc Can that CPU handle that resolution or should I upgrade it to something like a Ryzen 6 with on-board graphics?

Hi there, So as the title says I have a MSI K7D Master Mobo with dual Athlon MP 2000+s, using an HD 3850 AGP for graphics. I'm running Windows XP Pro SP3 fresh install as well. For some reason the drivers for the HD 3850 AGP will install, but then when I restart the system it says that there is no ATI Graphics Card inserted into the system. I somehow fixed this by changing a setting in the BIOS (IGP ISA Aliasing from Enabled to Disabled), but then that made it so that not both of my CPUs were being utilized in Windows. Now I've reinstalled the driver for the SB Audigy in here as well, but now the 3850 wont be recognized by it's driver no matter what I do. If anyone can help with some old knowledge it would be much appreciated as I've been wanting to play some games from my childhood once again.

I bought myself a PC a while ago, it had an Athlon 200GE in it. My graphics card is a GTX 1650. I have recently ordered a new motherboard, PSU and a case. Now I'm searching for a new CPU. The motherboard is AM4, My preference would be something a bit more budget but would support Windows 11 and also not cause too much of a bottleneck. I don't really care about the condition. I'm in the United Kingdom.

Currently the motherboard I'm looking at is the Asrock B450M Pro 4 R2.0 Link CPU: Athlon 3000G RAM: 8GB 3200mhz (1*8GB) MOBO: TBD GPU: iGPU PSU: Cougar GX-S 450W 80+ Gold Case: TBD My question is is there any other motherboard similiar/better in terms of performance for a similar/lower price? Budget is USD70 or MYR300. That Asrock one is already pushing my budget.

First time building a pc and I have never been more pissed when ryzen 5 3400g & 3 3200g goes out of stock in my country because of demands. The only thing that most store have is athlon 3000g and the a10-9700. Now which one that yall recommend the most ? (since those 3400g/3200g is out of stock i upgrade my ram into 3200mhz 2x8Gb ram) *Reminder that i only play decent spec game like team fortress 2, war thunder, csgo and such. But i also want to try games from my console like genshin impact, apex legend, resident evil 2 remastered into my first pc to see how good it is also sorry for my bad english

Alright so I was trying to overclock my friend's athlon rig, every time I try to overclock, or even enable XMP (though the ram reaches its rated speed regardless), the system bootloops a few times, then when it successfully boots, the settings have been reset, is my friend's board fucked, or am I retarded? (Athlon 3000g, Asrock B450m-Pro4 Bios p3.40)

I recently tried to upgrade my PC to a Ryzen processor from my previous Athlon processor. Here are the specs of my system: Motherboard: ASUS PRIME A320 M-K (Latest UEFI/BIOS version) Old CPU: AMD Athlon X4 950 New CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 RAM: 8GB, 2400mHz DDR4 Storage: Seagate Firecuda 530 1TB with heatsink PSU: 500W I updated to the latest UEFI/BIOS version before the install and everything worked fine with the old CPU but the new CPU doesn't display anything when I turn the PC on. The CPU fan spins like normal, the lights turn on and everything appears to work as it should. The new CPU doesn't appear to have any bent or broken pins so I don't think that's the problem.

I'm working on troubleshooting using cheapo minimal parts and I'm double-checking compatibility of boards & CPUs from eBay, and I'm watching auctions that expire within the day. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gNgX8r Combining an MSI B350 Tomahawk with an AMD Athlon 3000G or any other Athlon processor that uses the AM4 socket yields a corresponding compatibility warning as quoted below. Is this erroneous as I suspect? As far as I can tell they are perfectly compatible. Or is there something I'm missing? Any info is appreciated. "MSI B350 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 Motherboard and AMD Athlon 3000G (14nm) 3.5 GHz Dual-Core Processor are not compatible" Thanks!!

Hello everybody I just want to get you opinions and suggestions on this build. I'm trying to get into PC gaming as cheap as possible while having a clear upgrade path. Here is the build CPU: AMD Athlon 3000G ($46) Mobo: Asrock B450M Steel Legend ($78) RAM: Team Group Dark za 3600mhz ($90) Storage: 240GB Western Digital Green M.2 SATA ssd ($32) PSU: Cooler Master MWE 450W 80+ White ($33) Case: Cooler Master TD500 ($38) Cost: $322 USD (including shipping) Now to make a few things clear 1. The ram is 3600mhz because even 2666mhz is expensive and when I upgrade to Ryzen I won't have to upgrade the ram. 2. My choice of parts is such because I want to keep the cost of upgrades as low as possible. Now this does result in some short comings such as the power supply however 80+ PSUs are cheap in Malaysia, so PSU upgrades won't be too costly. 3. I live in Malaysia so there is a price gap between components here and say for example in America. Some products are not available here as well for that matter. If you do have any suggestions please do tell me. My budget is about $300-$350 USD. You can use Lazada or shopee

I'm upgrading to a ryzen 3600 soon so I'm just curious, how outdated is the 760k by modern standards?
-
Ok it's been great, mostly is still great but Ring of Elysium(45locked) & Far Cry 5(20-30fps) is kinda struggling the first works but at a disadvantage here clearly and 20fps believe it or not is never crashing but slow poke is not up to date... 4 cores 4 threads ain't doing it, so my tough were at the Intel Core i3-10350KF, I am aware they so far only showed us a K variant but I was thinking... Let's wait and see what Ryzen 4000 series brings while doing the wait also waiting for a KF chip, smart move to wait or?

My dad is always playing PS3, and well I just don't think it's fair for someone to be deprived of the privileges of the master race. So I went about finding parts in my house to build him a rig. This rig isn't inteded to break any records, just play Rocket League and Path of Exile on high settings. The Mobo is from my brother's PC, (I replaced the 760g chipset with 970), the GPU is from my PC, (I replaced my 7770 with a GTX 960) And I just had the PSU laying around unopened. I'm just going to pirate Windows, and I'm almost ready to buy the remaining parts! Just thought I'd put this up here. It won't go smashing any records but hey it's a rig. So recently the HDD in my sisters laptop failed. After a short lived recovery campaign sentenced the drive to death, I took advantage of the situation to upgrade my very poor quality laptop by simply switching the HDD's and installing the RAM (which surprisingly was compatible) into the inherited laptop. So now I have a surprisingly capable and super snappy uni/on the road web browsing and word processing notebook, running an AMD A4 APU with R3 graphics and 8GB of RAM. My problem now is that anything more graphics intensive than youtube refuses to work. I'm not stupid, I know this thing is certainly no gaming behemoth, but when it was in my sisters ownership I saw it fly through sim's and WoW with ease. Now it struggles with the Minion's game on the windows store, and just before writing this failed to play Splix.io for crying out loud. Have I missed something or is this computer really just a lemon? (P.S. APU driver was updated, made no difference)

The sweet sweet sensation of upgrading a PC... It's like putting extra cheese on your favourite dish "it makes it taste 100x better!" One might say, but pairing an R9 Fury with an Athlon X4 845 feels more like i slapped a pile of cheese on a pineapple. It tastes awful... and even hurts a little. Jokes aside though. I get 30-50 FPS in CS:GO on low 1080p... this can't be it... there must be something wrong... right?...

Since last week my Athlon 860k build has been acting a bit weird. In the 20th of may the build was infected with a virus that caused it have constant memory errors. So i formated all of my drives and installed a brand new version of windows 10 pro, updated to creators update. In the same day i kept getting random BSODS, when i would use the peek function on full screen applications, but that stopped. I also ran 4 pases of memtest on the 25th ( came out clean).Yesterday on the 26th i was watching youtube on two tabs and then most of the browser tabs crashed along with opera itself (this also happed last week as well) and was gaming for 3 hours and it Blue Screened. So this morning i ran a combination of aida 64 and unigene valley and for some reason the cpu was not being stressed at 100% so i downloaded intel burn test and ran it simultaneously with valley. Ran fine for 20 minutes however on the aida stressed test screen the cpu was not being pinned at 100% and i checked intel burn test and a notification from the app appeared saying that there was system instability and then the system immediately crashed. Are these signs of cpu, memory or motherboard failure? P.S Temps were in the low 60's Here are the specs of the build: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: AMD - Athlon X4 860K 3.7GHz Quad-Core Processor (Purchased For $80.00) CPU Cooler: Corsair - H100i GTX 70.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler (Purchased For $100.00) Motherboard: ASRock - FM2A88X-ITX+ Mini ITX FM2+ Motherboard Memory: Kingston - HyperX Fury Red 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory (Purchased For $60.00) Storage: Transcend - SSD370 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (Purchased For $80.00) Storage: Hitachi - Travelstar 5K1000 1TB 2.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive (Purchased For $0.00) Video Card: Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 970 4GB G1 Gaming Video Card (Purchased For $369.99) Case: Phanteks - Enthoo EVOLV ITX Mini ITX Tower Case (Purchased For $80.00) Power Supply: Corsair - Builder 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply (Purchased For $50.00) Total: $819.99 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2017-05-27 08:16 EDT-0400
