Hello, I'm here because I have two questions/ potential issues : I've discovered the new hotspot feature of GPU-Z. While gaming, with only the factory OC available from Asus ("Gaming mode"), I reach easily more than 100°C. It's more than a 20-25°C delta, where I've seen most people report more like 10-12°C. I'm worried. Is there potentially an issue with the cooler mounting ? For the longest time my GPU was dead silent. For a while now, I've been hearing the GPU's fan ramp up and down and it's starting to become very very annoying. Any link with the issue above ? I've seen that at the second I reach 80°C, no matter where the fans are, I think that they jump to 100%. Sometimes it's only one of them, sometimes both (it's three fans actually reported as 2 in GPU-Z).

I was looking to finally upgrading my GTX 1080ti Strix i bought on launch like 7 years ago. lol It seems to be finally showing it's age where i can no longer play Overwatch 2 at max settings 1440p, 165FPS on my Gsync monitor. I also started to play Cyberpunk 2077 now that's been fixed. And later plan on playing Hogwarts Legacy. I game at 1440p with a Gysnc monitor. I really don't want to spend over $1k on a GPU rightnow as I have trips planned for the end of the year plus hopefully LTX in addition to the 40 series seems like being insanely priced. Would it be best to just get a used 3080 for $550-$650 instead of a 4070ti for $850?

Ok, so I bought a new GPU about 3 days ago (mine was a GTX 560ti). I chose an Asus Strix GTX 1070 O8C. I installed it and it worked like a charm for about 1 day. The next day when I tried to turn on my pc it just had a black screen. I looked up on google a lot of threads of people having this problem and I've tried almost everything. First thing I did was take the GPU out of the computer and use the onboard graphics. It worked. Then I tried to use DDU and uninstall the drivers. I installed the GTX 1070 and it worked but after 2 minutes on my desktop it just crashed (driver errors; buggy screen, etc). I tried it again with different driver versions but nothing worked. Next thing I did was updating the motherboard BIOS, but even then the GPU wouldn't work. I tried different PSU cables (my PSU is modular), I've formatted my SSD, cleared CMOS, plugged the GPU in another PCIE port, but nothing worked. Now even if I use DDU the graphics card won't display anything on my monitor (the monitor is recieving signal, but the screen is black). I've tried with both of my monitors, each at a time, but neither worked (I tested both HDMI and the DVI port). I've also tried disabling fast boot. I'm writing this post using the onboard graphics, which works perfectly. I know it is booting because I can hear the windows startup sound, skype login sound, etc; but the screen is all black. My pc specs are: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zQFvvV For CPU cooler I'm using stock. For RAM I'm using 1x2gb stick of Corsair Vengeance and 1x4gb Corsair Dominator (I've tried plugging them each at a time but it didn't work either).

I was looking to upgrade my sli Asus GTX 780's Direct CU II to their new ROG Strix 1080ti. I haven't been able to buy the Strix 1080ti OC that goes for $780 USD since its always out of stock. But the Strix 1080ti not factory OC is now available for $760 USD. should I wait for the OC version to be in stock or just save the $20 and overclock it myself? I don't know if the OC models are guaranteed to be better overclockers or not.

Hello, First of all, sorry if I'm in the wrong section! I just recently got my new rig and these are the Specs: -CPU: Intel Core i7-6700k -Cooler: Corsair H100i V2 -Motherboard: MAXIMUS VIII HERO -RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2x8GB) -Graphics Card: Asus STRIX GTX 1080 OC Edition (1936 Hz) -SSD: Kingston Savage 240GB -PSU: Corsair RM750 -OS: Windows 10 Pro x64. After i put it all together, updated the drivers to the latest i decided to try out my new rig on The Rise of The Tomb Raider, since i saw Linus Tech Tips use it for a lot of benchmarking (80+ at 2k with Ultra settings). To my surprise however i could not get beyond the 33 fps mark when setting everything to max. I tried using dx 12 and 11, but only to get a difference of 1 - 3 fps. I had to go with the optimal settings suggested by Geforce experience to be able to actually play at around 60-70 fps, which is still low for a pc with those specs. This whole "test" that I did was all at 2k. Can some one please help me fix this, and tell me whats is going on? Is there a bottleneck somewhere here? Is it just bad game integration? Please help me know how to get to a better fps at ultra settings(if thats even possible). Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone, I am building a new PC and I only need to buy a GPU so my question is; which GPU should I buy? I am considering an Asus Strix Gtx 1070/1080 but I'm not sure if a 1080 will be overkill and if it will effect my gaming performances. Also it costs around 40$ more and you get a nice boost is performance. My specs are: Motherboard: Asus Strix b250f CPU: Intel i5 7600 RAM: 16gb Gskill TridentZ Storage: 1TB HDD + 500gb SSD PSU: 450W EVGA Can anyone tell me if going with a 1080 is smart or not, I don't really know. The types of games I am going to play are: Battlefield 1, Rainbow Six: Siege, Rocket League, Fallout 4. Thanks in advance!

So I have a pre-built from Origin PC (yeah, I know, but I didn't exactly know 100% what I was getting into when I got it) and it's coming to the end of the time where I can have them buy back some of the components to put towards the cost of an upgrade. I currently have an ASUS 980 Strix, and it has this annoying-ass light that doesn't ever turn off unless the computer is fully powered down. I was wondering if someone out there with a 1080Ti Strix could tell me if this light is still there, or if they got rid of it. Thanks!

I'm having an issue where my 1070 (Asus Strix will no longer idle below 911MHz (clock) and 4007MHz (Memory). I have attempted: - Googling the issue (most users reporting the issue were able to resolve the problem after uninstalling this program or that, none of which I have installed to begin with) - changed the Power Managment Mode in nvidia control panel from "Optimal" to "Adaptive" - Un/Re-installing Asus Gpu Tweak II - Installing/ Unistalling the newest version of Asus PGU Tweak II - Installing/ Uninstalling MSI Afterburner - Updated to the latest nvidia drivers - set both my monitors from 144Hz to 60Hz - disabled secondary monitor and ran only 1 monitor at 60Hz - Performed two clean installations of the nvidia drivers in safe mode using DDU from guru3d - attempted to change the Performance Level from P0 to P2, P5 and P8 using nvidia Inspector (setting P-State does not apply however, it remains at P0) I'm about to pull out my hair as I do not understand what is causing this or how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated!

So I got the Asus b250g micro ATX motherboard and the Asus Strix gtx 1060. I would like to add some more usb 3.0 ports to my system (the motherboard have only 2 usb 3.0 ports). The problem is that the 1060 is very close to the pcie x1 slot on the motherboard and I'm afraid I won't be able to put in the usb 3.0 expansion card. It would be great if you can help me. thanks. Roy.

Hey guys, I'm building my first PC and was hoping for some advice/help with my components. I already know the parts I want but I don't know if they will work together perfectly. The main thing for me here is basically the PSU (EVGA 750watt G2). I'm pretty sure everything will work with my mobo (Strix Z270E), for example I need 3 internal USB 2.0 connections for my Kraken X62, NZXT Hue and my front panel which it provides (right?). I am also sure that the RAM (G.Skill TridentZ RGB) works perfectly with my mobo and CPU and only has problems with Ryzen (or has that been fixed?). Here is my part list. I am confident that everything should work together but would also like to point out that I will be using an NZXT Hue which requires power through molex, which leads to the questions does my PSU have an adapter? And what about enough sata power connections? I am of course focusing on the PSU, but if you guys see any potential incompatibilities would you care to point them out? These are the specs of the parts I'm most worried about Motherboard Specs (just the USB 2.0 connections pretty much.) PSU Specs NZXT Hue+ Specs (Scroll to bottom of the link) On a completely different note, I am considering the 1080Ti but it is out of my budget. My main game is, and will be for a long time, Overwatch. I know I can get some godly framerates at 1440p with a GTX1080, but would it be worth the upgrade for the couple of hours I play Skyrim and Fallout 4 a week? Thank you

Guys.. I bought a brand new ASUS STRIX GTX 1060 6GB GPU, Installed it, plugged in the 8pin connector NO video output, LEDs are lighting up on start but still no video output (I tested the PCIe slot with my old GTX 750, it works fine) Pls help out if you can

I tried to set up the surround display but I can't. First , I opened up nvidia control panel, then went to the surround display section sand pressed the configure button. After that I check the boxes and moved the boxes to configure the position of my moniter and set the barrel thingy. But I can't cant activate or start surround display, it won't do anything if I pressed on it. After that when I tried to close the surround display settings (Not the nvidia control panel) the nvidia control panel crashed. (I just wanted to ask how can I start surround display, is it the problem of the spec of my computer?) Specs: Mobo: Asus B150M-K Display Card: Asus Strix Geforce GTX 960 Ram; Adata 8GB SSD: SanDisk ssd plus 240gb HDD; Seagate 2TB (7200) I plugged my display into the DVI and the HDMI slot (There are still 3 display port, but since I don't have a display port display)

This may be a nooby question but, I have an Asus Rx 480 strix and have their gpu tweak 2 and I use that for fan speeds etc. I was curious if I could use msi afterburner on my asus graphics card instead and if so how to set it up as my default instead of gpu tweak. Will anything change in terms of performance when changing over is one better than the other? Thanks in advance!

Hi guys, Welcome back to another one of my build logs! This time I am working on the newly released Corsair Crystal 570X tempered glass case! I would like to thank everyone at Corsair for giving me the opportunity to work on this case as I know this was sent to a group of elite modders world wide! I'm simply honored to be considered for this and see myself up there with the talented people that I look up to and inspire my work! The 570X is a case with tempered glass on pretty much all sides and it's truly a stunning case. My build will be all about elegance and luxury as well as drawing a bit of inspiration from the crystal series name. SPECS: Case – Corsair Crystal 570X Motherboard – TBA CPU – TBA Memory – 4 x 4GB Corsair Dominator Platinum 3000Mhz DDR4 RAM GPU – TBA SSD – 240GB Corsair Force LE SSD PSU – TBA Custom Cables - CableMod Cooling Corsair H100i V2 Corsair HD120 RGB Fans To start off the build log I did a quick unboxing presentation of the case. I hope you guys enjoy it and stay tuned for more! Cheers, Alex

So which rtx 2080 (or 2080ti) is the most silent? Is it the one with the AIO on it? MSI SeaHawk X Is it the traditionally top end one? Asus Strix Or is it the one they downgraded? Msi Gaming X Trio Msi gaming x used to have 2x big fans on it, so the noise was deeper, but now they have 3x small fans like strix. I am thinking about the Seahawk X because of the aesthetic, but i have heard that the VRM fan is quite annoying on it. Haven't found any real reviews on it thought. MSI also downgraded the Seahawk X, with the 1000 series they partnered with Corsair and that product was much cleaner looking and overall better.

So recently, I was facing the issue of restarting my PC in order to get stable FPS. When I use to turn on my PC and play Witcher 3, I would get 70 Avg and after restarting the PC it would go back to 134 FPS Avg. I play on a 240Hz 1080P Monitor which is G-Sync compatible, this week n now I tried restarting but no change, I get stutters on every game almost and worst of all I get 120FPS locked on CS:GO. I tried it on other games thinking it might be something else but still the same averaging 65 on all games. These are the following steps I tried from the internet: - Using DDU to uninstall my drivers in safe mode and reinstall with a clean install. - Changing GameDVR in registry to 0 and other one I did i forgot the name. - I reinstalled the Window and no effect. - I turned off Real-Protection in Security on Windows 10 - Checked my clocks while playing games, it always stays stable at a good 1985MHz with a 55-60C on avg with CPU avg 57-60 avg depending on the game. That's the maximum i have gone with the temps. - Cleaned all of my PC from the inside and took out the dust with the blower. - Checked voltages and checked my memory speed for my RAM in the BIOs which is at 3200Mhz I am deeply confused with what's happening I know that there is nothing seems to be wrong with the hardware but its the internal software wise issue, it would be deeply and heart fully appreciated if you guys could sort out this issue for me. The specs for my PC will be given below. -2700x clocked at 3.8GHz -2080-Ti Asus Strix -32GB(4x8) DDR4 3200MHz -H150i PRO RGB -LL120x4 -500GB SSD NVMe M.2/500GB SSD SATA III/3TB HDD Seagate -Corsair RM750x -H700 Case

So just got myself a Strix 2080 Super...this is my first time using NVIDIA so I have ton of questions. First of in the NVIDIA Control Panel, 3D Management, is there anything I should tweak ? Any sort of settings maybe I should turn off or on, something like that.... 1) Do I really need to install NVIDIA GeForce Experience ? Because I skipped that. 2) I can only tweak the GPU Clock, Power Limit etc via MSI Afterburner / ASUS Tweak ?? Unlike AMD which you can do with their Radeon Settings. 3) On MSI AB it shows that my Temp Target is 84C...should I increase that or just keep it as so ? 4) For some reason both GPU-Z and MSI AB shows that I have 2 Fans on my GPU....Fan 1 Fan 2...same for Fan Tachometer....why so ? I thought it doesn't matter how many fans you have on your GPU it had always only been 1 for all AMD cards. 5) On MSI AB Monitoring, there's a graph for " Power " is that the " Power Limit " reading ? On my previous Vega 64 MSI AB actually shows how much Wattage of my GPU consume... 6) Memory Clock @ 9000mhz ++ what ???? Maybe I've been using HBM Memory for too long lol...but since when did Memory Clock goes up this high lol ?? So what's are the Average Memory Clock for GPU these days ?? If I come up with more questions I will post it here.

Hey everybody! ✌ I just bought a ASUS STRIX Radeon RX 5700XT gpu. Everything seems to be working just fine but it looks like the mouse cursor (when its loading) BUSY, is dark blue instead of light blue like it normally is and doesnt look like it suppose to look. Asif the resolution is a bit of! I also did a clean windows install but as soon as i install the driver (latest on amd site) and it changes to the right resolution, the BUSY cursor turns dark blue and looks rather ugly, this is also the same for the hand gesture icons when pressing Links in google chrome etc. Which also makes me doubt if the resolution/sharpness in general is working like its suppose to? So my actual question is : is this a driver related issue and does anybody else experienced these same issues/problems.. and does anybody know how to fix this or atleast some advice on setting the correct settings? Thankyou in advance,
