Soo I'm struggling to decide what phone is best for me. I use my phone mainly for watching YouTube send messages and to browse the Internet. And sometimes a little game. Soo I can get the xiaomi note 7 for 170 or the poco for 265. Won't the poco be overkill for me ? Will the note 7 be good for 3 years ? Help me decide please

I am currently on a travel to Asia and I were gonna buy a "Cherry Mobile Flare S7 Plus" which has a Helio P60, 3050mAh & wireless charging other bonuses it has a clean back with no brand logo and is not from a Chinese brand, tough these days that have changed a bunch tough. Now since many told me last time that I should grab a "Xiaomi Note 7 / 7 Pro" both having a SD660, I compared other brands and the best one seems to be from Realme which have the "Realme 3" with Helio P60 for cheaper than the Cherry Mobile and the nearly same price of the Cherry "Realme 3 Pro" has a SD710, both of these also has 4000mAh plus batteries and a headphone jack which Cherry lacks. My research shows that Realme is owned by BBK which also own Oppo, Vivo & Oneplus so a 710 to about 200eur sounds to good to be true! Is there a catch? ?

Hi! I'm buying a phone, i have been looking at LG V30, it seems like the best option, but i want to hear your guys suggestions. Other phones i looked at are pocophone F1, Galaxy A50, Xiaomi Mi 9 SE. But i cant really make the choice and i still look back to LG because of the IP68 and camera. But im all ears for your suggestions, i do not use my phone that much, i just want to hear ppl during calls, see them instagram posts and watch a youtube video before going to sleep. And good camera with waterproofing are big benefits to me.

插上电源绿色指示灯常亮,按开机键没有反应。无法开机,断电拆开后盖拔掉电池长按/短按开机键很多次按上后盖插电开机依旧无法点亮。插电后依旧绿色指示灯常亮。 The green indicator light was on while plugged in the power supply but when I pushed the power button nothing happened. I can't boot up this laptop anymore. After I'd disconnected the power supply and removed the battery, I tried to press the power button many times. After that, I connected the power supply and it's still not turned on. The green indicator light was on after I connected the power supply 因为没有图纸无法测量哪里的问题 Because I don't have the blueprints of this laptop so I don't know what's going on. 型号:小米笔记本13.3 161301-01 Model: Xiaomi Laptop 13.3 161301-01

Hi! So, I recently bought a Xiaomi Redmi Note 7, and it supports quick charge 4.0, the thing is, can I use a Moto fast charger without damagin the battery? I had a moto g5 plus, and the Moto fast charger has three outputs, standard: 5v-1.6A, turbo1: 9v-1.6A and turbo2:12v-1.2A. The only difference is that Xiaomi's phone has USB type C, which forces me to swap cables. The original Xiaomi charger has a single output of 5v-2A, and the phone recognizes the fast charger when I plug it in. Using it normally, and with Xiaomi's type-c usb plugged in moto's fast charger, will damage my battery? I know fast charging degrades the battery "faster", but I want to be sure this doesnt damage the whole thing in months Thanks!

So recently I have been looking for a laptop for software development and obviosuly for some gaming. I came across lots of products but I really like the look of the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro it has a very powerfull cpu and a dedicated gpu for a very good price. Since i would like to try out some game development and some heavier gaming then my usual e-sports I would really like to have a somewhat gpu. When I came across the Gtx edition of the this laptop with the Gtx 1050 max-q I was very happy and felt like I finally made my choice. But when I saw some reviews I was told that the laptop overheats and the keyboard gets really hot, some people sayd the reviewer had a bad unit but i still dont know. So I would like to know if anyone has the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro Gtx edition, preferably the i7 model, and could comment out the temperatures they are getting or some other problem that I might not be aware of. (And yes I do know that it comes with the Windows in Chinese)

Hello everyone, I'm looking for a smartphone but I can't decide: Mi8 lite with 6gb of ram and 128gb of storage for 225€ vs Redmi Note 7 with 4gb of ram and 128 of storage for 230€. Which option do you think is better? I've heard that Redmi Note 7 is better overall, but I don't know if that 2gb ram differencia would be noticeable for daily use (my main mobile use is not for gaming, is basically web browsing, job-related apps). Thanks in advance. PS: I know there are some better pricings for both models out there, I use just for reference. Also would like to hear about other options around 200-230 €

Hi guys, I just ordered the Mi Pad 4 LTE version. Does anyone know where I can download the global ROM + instructions to install it? Yes, I know that you can sideload the Play Store, but it doesn't work very well according to some forums I've read. If there is no global ROM available, what ROM do you recommend?

Hey there, so I've had my Poco F1 128GB for 7 months now. The screen was laggy sometimes but after few wipes it seems like it's okay. Anyways, I bought it for around 400$, now the prices have came down a little and also it has been used. So, my question is... Do you think, the lags might come back? (It didn't seem as an app problem and there were no updates in between.) Do you think, it's worth it to sell this (I expect for max 300$) and get a Mi9 in 128GB version? Any reasons not to change or to change to different phone? (Not an iPhone, please) Thanks. (Maybe there are too many questions, if yeah, sorry, I don't want to spam the forum.)

Hello there! I wanted to unlock the bootloader of my Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 (the global version, aka AI dual camera, the more confusing your naming scheme is, the better, right?). Not necessarily to flash a different ROM, but according to a tutorial I found, it is possible to enable Camera2 API, which is, for some reason, disabled on this device, despite being enabled on most other, often even cheaper devices. Doing so requires an unlocked bootloader. I've done everything according to this tutorial (https://c.mi.com/thread-1635834-1-1.html), up until the step where you connect the phone to your PC. Unfortunately, the program was unable to detect my phone. The tutorial says that if this happens, you need to install the USB driver. So I've done everything according to this other tutorial (https://c.mi.com/thread-1625831-1-0.html), again, up until the step where you connect the phone to your PC. However, computer management doesn't detect it either. There should be an Android device under the other devices tab, but for some reason, all it can see is an unknown device, which is probably my old webcam, for which I don't have a driver either. Updating its driver with the file I got from the Xiaomi website doesn't work, obviously (but I tried anyway, just in case). Also, the MI unlock app has a driver install feature, which apparently does nothing. When I try to use it, it prompts me to connect the device. If I connect it while it's on, it says something, but closes immediately, giving me no time to read it, so I've made a screenshot before it did. It asks you to switch your device to fastboot mode and then connect it to your PC, which makes sense since the tutorial on their website requires this as well. Unsurprisingly, doing so does nothing and the app is still unable to detect the phone. Seriously, as much as I like Xiaomi, F them for this! Any advice on how to make it work?

Last week, Lei Jun, the CEO of Xiaomi announced the new individual brand of Xiaomi, In fact, it is just a separate opening of the Redmi department as a new brand. On that day, it also announced a new smartphone which focuses on Cheap and cost-effective mobile phone。It names Redmi Note7, it has Quantum Snapdragon 660 Processor, and 4000mAh battery life, USB-Type C, AND A HEADPHONE Jack, Support fast charging, Infrared remote control,At the same time, it also has Corning's fifth-generation gorilla glass.Rear 48 million + 5 million AI dual camera,1.6μm large pixel (four in one)*,PDAF phase focusing,F/1.8 aperture lens,All of them just started at 999RMB, which is 148 USD. It’s too worth it. And I hope linus can give us a review about it ☺ here's the website https://www.mi.com/redminote7/specs/

Hello, I've been having trouble sleeping, beacuse of this problem. I need a monitor for coding, designing websites and gaming. I've heard that VA has trouble displaying text - it's not clear and that's my main concern, because I'll be using either of these monitors for hours - especially with text. The Xiaomi Mi Display is 3440x1440 34" 21:9 , while the LG 27GL850 (it would rather choose the y27q-20, than the LG) is 2560x1440 27". I already have a monitor 24" TN panel, so I could use it as my secondary one. Please help me choose a monitor! I honestly don't know what to do. I've been going back and forth between thousands and thousands of monitors and I don't know which one to choose. (I'm in Europe)

Hi there, In August I got my girlfriend a Xiaomi laptop for her work. Got it off of Kijiji and was working like a charm until the beginning of August. This was around the time we purchased a longer USB-C charging cable. After this point the laptop has began to have increasingly more difficulty staying powered on or even powering on to begin with. If the laptop is used while not plugged in it may shut off randomly and without notice, despite having battery life. It's beginning to get to the point where there is a need to keep it plugged in at all times, for fear of it turning off in a meeting or not saving documents. To be honest I dont even know where to begin to diagnose the issue. If it is battery, how do I go about checking that? Might it be a software thing? I know I can't call Xiaomi, especially since she threw away the box. Any advice at all is great appreciated!

Im looking for a new upgrade, from my old relic, honor 7 lite/honor 5c. its been getting slower, and more unresponisve the last couple of years, and im sick of everything freezing or crashing. I cant even stream anime online without any kind of freeze or lag. Sometimes it doesnt even want to turn off when i press the power button. Anyways, I got around 200-300$ of my xmas money to spend on it, but im not sure which phone is for me... I got a friend that got an xiaomi phone (its as big as a tablet almost xd) and he really likes xiaomi phones, AND all their other products, so im kinda interested at testing one of their phones. Ive had Samsung and sony phones before too, so i like to switch it up a bit and see what all the companies got to offer, so i think its time for xiaomi to show me what they got. Ive looked on these ones so far, and it seems like they fit into all of my needs: https://www.mi-store.se/sv/mobiltelefoner/redmi-note-8t/redmi-note-8t-64gb-starscape-blue https://www.mi-store.se/sv/mobiltelefoner/redmi-note-8-pro/redmi-note-8-pro-64-gb-mineral-grey they got Type c, good camera, Extremly big battery, good and big screen, android 9 etc. (I should also notice that i dont really care if they dont got no headphone jack as i mostly use bluetooth, but it would be a + if it did have one just in case). But im not sure if i should go with the cheaper 8t or spend like 20$ more on the 8 pro. From the research ive done, they are mostly the same, other than size (like 1nm or somethin), the pro is a little bit faster and got a 500mAh bigger battery, it also got a 64mp rear camera compared to the 8t which got a 48mp. Ive watched a bunch of reviews too, and mostly everyone seems to be in love with it, for the price its selling for. One thing i dont like, is the rear camera placement on the pro version. It feels like they would be in the way, and would be much more comfortable with them on the side, like on the 8t. NOTICE: These are on sale rn too, so i get 11% off. So if im going to buy one, should buy it now or wait and see if the price goes down even more? Which one should i go for, or do you got some other examples?

Hi Guys! First time posting here. I was hoping to receive some suggestions on a possible deal i was looking forward to conclude in the next few days. I'm currently using an Asus N580VD FI038T which features an i7-7700HQ, screen up to 4K res., Gtx1050 4gb, 16gb Ram, 512 Ssd and 1tb Sata. Since i wanted some extra boost while doing my music production & design stuff i bought a Mi Gaming Notebook (i7-7700, 16gb Ram, 256gb SSD, 1tb SATA, and a Gtx1060 6gb) for about $800 while on offer. Basically this one: https://it.gearbest.com/laptops/pp_1698596.html I've barely set it up cause i was looking forward to organize everything between the external drives and the Asus in first place and then move on the MI. Thing is...today i've seen another Mi Gaming notebook and a sudden regret bout' the latest purchase kicked in....as this time featuring an i7-9750H, Gtx2060, 144Hz screen, 16gb Ram, 512gb Ssd and the usual 1tb Sata. for about $1450. https://www.banggood.com/Xiaomi-Gaming-Laptop-15_6-inch-Intel-Core-i7-9750H-NVIDIA-GeForce-RTX2060-144Hz-16GB-GDDR4-RAM-512GB-PCle-SSD-Notebook-p-1585486.html?rmmds=cart_middle_products&ID=3162&cur_warehouse=CN So now i'm stuck wondering if i should go for that one considering the hardware specs and sell the other two notebooks (got a possible buyer for the Asus already) or just keep the first MI with GTX1060 and wait for something else later on. I've no experience with the 20xx series of cards and beside knowing bout' the raytracing features that latest games support other than 3d modelers suck as Blenders via add-ons, i was also wondering if there's issues of any sort while using them on Windows10. Any info and suggestion is appreciated!

news link another source I know most of you guys outside Asia don't have a lot of Xiaomi or Realme products but even low end Samsung phones have ads in their ui. Still these are huge companies selling a lot of phones and what worries me is that they could so easily harvest the data to serve users personalized ads! I don't know if they already do it but just imagine instead of your online activities being tracked now manufacturers track our daily usage to serve us ads. How long until that happens? Realme (spawn of oppo-bbk electronics so vivo, one plus sister company) has now started the ads in ui thing but at least from news sources it seems you can disable them. samsung had also followed xiaomis model of showing ads in the ui. This is a really irritating direction these companies are headed in. At least in India many people dislike Xiaomi for their ads and they still sell a lot of phones! If this continues soon consumers wont have a choice of having ad free phones in the low end market. Now, realme also has offerings which compete in the value flagship category along with one plus and xiaomi which aren't exactly cheap so just how much must they earn through ads if they're ready to take all the damage to their brand and reputation from showing ads to consumers? Realme has already called shots on xiaomi for serving ads and now theyre going back on their words. Another aspect to consider is that a person has already paid for the hardware and software that was installed. Can companies now generate revenue after they have sold you the product through software updates like this? It is similar to what linus was talking about in a wan show about tesla cars increasing their speed through a paid software update but at least that has an additional benefit on top of what you have already paid for. I know it allows them to produce phones with extremely thin margins and compete but at what privacy cost to the consumer?
