I've always used an android phone with a SDCard (previously a Nokia 5 running Android 9, never experienced any big issues) and recently I switched to a Redmi Note 8T, and every time I restart, soft reboot, shutdown or update my phone it corrupts my SDCard, I've tried multiple tricks including converting the partition style between GPT/MBR, formating in NTFS/exfat and it still would break I tried cleaning up the /Android folder and it still happened (I always ejected before restart) I'm looking for a solution and the reason of this I also wanted to know if this is Android or MIUI related and if anyone has experienced this? And if it is and Software or Hardware issue Please help!

Hi, Recently new monitor is available in my local store, its new brand, never heard of except for the phones they produce but it has really good specs for the price Samsung VA Panel 3440x1440 ultrawide 21:9 Curved 121% sRGB 144hz Freesync Premium its priced at around 480USD which is cheap compared to other premium brands like LG which are priced at 800+ $ in my country. I didnt find many pro reviews except hardware unboxed, its behind the competition when it comes to G2G and other specs. But I want personal opinion, is it worth it for casual gamer with mixed online and offline games?

xiaomi Can i skip wifi while setting up my xiaomi mi a2?
vital_fresh posted a topic in Phones and Tablets
I had some problems with my mi a2, and i did a factory reset (i think, it was some time ago), and now while setting up it can't find my wifi, i know there is notthing wrong with my signal because it's working on my laptop, and theres no option to skip wifi in the xiaomi setup, so now i can't get into my phone. I've looked into things like using android platform tools to maybe do something, but it seem like i have to do something with my phone to get it to work, and i cant get into my phone.Anyone got any advice? -
Summary Xiaomi has announced MIUI 12.5 with new features such as more natural notification sounds, better memory management which will reduce memory usage by 20%, MIUI+ and Xiaomi are adding more dynamic wallpapers users can pick from in this release. This update will be available for the Mi 10 series, Redmi K30 series, Redmi K20 series, Redmi Note 9, Mi 10 Lite, Redmi 10X series, Xiaomi CC 9e/CC9, and Redmi Note 7 series in January as a public beta and the Mi 11, Mi 10, and Mi 10 Ultra/Pro will receive the update in April. Quotes My thoughts This is quite a minor release on MIUI but it will still be good for Xiaomi users, especially ones with low end phones, who need all the extra performance they can get Sources https://www.techradar.com/news/miui-12-5-features-devices-list

(graph below) I've been having insane battery drain since the past 2 weeks where I would charge my phone to 80% like I normally do then use it and notice my battery visibly draining at insane rate, that is until just now when I restart it and charge it to 100% and now it has returned to normal. I'm very confused as to what is going on and what should I do if this happens again? initially I just thought the battery is going bad but now this clearly isn't the case.

Hello guys, a few days ago I've received from Amazon my Xiaomi 34p ultrawide but i have i few complains. First of all, i'm having some problems with the freesync, but given how positive are most of the feedbacks about it I will skip it and "mainly" consider it as a problem on my side. What is annoying me the most, is a "glow"on ALL the bottom side of the display, from left to right, that literally change the color of any dark content. Example is the desktop client of Telegram, or even reddit itself, dark backgrounds take on a different shade, much more faded. Kind hard to get a pick of it, much more visible in person, AE-AF locked in both pics. https://imgur.com/uwwSckE Is this normal for a VA? Do you think i can have more luck with a replacement or this is expected for this type of panel? It's not a dealbreaker but as a dark-theme abuser I find it really very annoying.

Similarly to the all Monoprice or Amazon Basics gaming setup video about a year ago, a next step in following suit would be Xiaomi in my opinion just because of the pure range of random electronics they sell. A lot of the stuff ranging from lighbulbs to monitors to little humidifiers. I think the idea would be very easily doable just because of all the branches the company has like mija, selling lifestyle items, and then monitors and keyboards in their mainstream, and almost everything your looking for can be found on aliexpress Sorry if this has already been posted before, couldn't find anything too similar

So, a very weird thing happens on my phone. First, the hardware: Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, 18W fast charging, Snapdragon chip. Testing device 2: Xiaomi Redmi MiA3, Snapdragon, 18W fast charging. Chargers: Huawei 18W charger, Xiaomi 10W charger, Sony 18W charger. So, my phone stopped charging with the Huawei charger (only 700mAh according to Accubattery). I tried the original charger included in the box (only 10W) and the same result. No more than 800mAh. But, both chargers and both cables (I tried each cable with each charger) work fine with the other phone. The 18W provides fast charging and the other doesn´t. Both giving the expected mAh. Now, with the Sony cable, my phone charges fine with the Huawei charger (2500 mAh) and with his original charger (not fast charging, only 10W charger). So, HOW CAN MY PHONE CHARGE FINE WITH ONLY THAT CABLE FORM ANOTHER BRAND, EVEN IF ALL THE CHARGERS AND CABLES WORK FINE WITH ANOTHER PHONE?

Hi guys, I bought this great projector some weeks ago, but there is something that is annoying me. With my previous projectors, I was able to set an HDMI port as the default source, so every time for example I shut off the projector and then I turned on again, the projector was able to memorize the HDMI source that was set or was able to detect an HDMI input and automatically swapped to that source. In this case, every time I shut off the projector and the turn on, the projector starts in the initial menu. I tried a lot of options in the settings but anyone worked. So I write here in a desperate attemp to solve this problem, I definitely need to boot the projector in the corresponding HDMI source. I recently downloaded the new update(R2287) of this projector and I was excited to solve my issue, but after trying again all the settings available I didn´t reach nothing new. I would be grateful if you can help me on this. Thanks in advance!!

Hey all I've been wanting to get a pair of true wireless headphones for a while, and I've decided now is the time to buy them. I'm trying to stay fairly low budget, I'm looking to pay around 20-30 euro for them. The headphones I've been looking at are the Xiaomi Redmi Airports, coming in at 20 euros online. Do you any of y'all recommend something else? I'm mostly just going for decent sound quality and ease of use. Cheers!

So I posted about this problem on here before, but the issues just keep on coming. I have a 2018 Xiaomi Mi Air 13, with an i7 and a MX 150. At first i had some problems with screen flickering, especially with grey colours, as many have on the internet. So i ordered a new panel online, disassembled my laptop and tried to put the new one in, but i ordered one with wrong spacing on the mounts, still tried the video connection on the new one out and it worked just fine. So again ordered an other one, with correct mounting points, only to discover that this screen had a loose contact on its connector. So i tried multiple times if the problem wasn´t on my side and swapt those 3 panels through to see if it was the internal HDMI cable or indeed the connection on the screen. It was indeed the connection on the screen. So i wanted to put my laptop back together with the original screen, ready to again order an other panel. But as i was done with assembling the laptop even the original screen wouldn´t work anymore. Notice here that this one did work seconds before as i was searching on which side the error was. So i tried to connect an external screen via the HDMI out, but no succes their either as suddenly no HDMI output could be detected anymore. The laptop also seemed to be stuck in a bit of a loop as when i turned it on the fans and keyboard backlight would start, but turn off after like 20 seconds and then on again. Also turning the laptop off even with pressing the power button for more than 5 seconds was sometimes not possible and only through removing the battery it turned off. Already tried a few things like booting without battery and only with power cable, or pressing buttons for windows safe mode etc. Not even possible to get/display into bios anymore.. In the attachment a video of the error can be found. Now my question: Is their a possibility that i damaged something on the internals, and if on which part, or any other ideas how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance for the help, isn´t my first time working with computers but this error is really frustrating. Video_of_error.mp4

hey fellas, today i came up with an new idea "WHAT IF I OVERCLOCK MY PHONE TO RUN WINDOWS ?" to run windows 8.1 i have to allocate 2 GB of ram to the OS and a dual core processor i have 1.8 GB of memory free out of 3 GB on ideal conditions at clock speed of 800 MHZ with an Octa core processor clocked at 1.40 GHZ so i think overclocking my processor to 1.60 GHZ , ram to 1200 MHZ (sounds crazy but affective) and deleting all unnecessary applications from google and certain stock applications like musics.and installing a lighter version of android if this all doesn,t work I can decompress the windows 8.1 disk image and remove certain application which i don't want like disk partition and all those useless wallpapers and even cortanaedit 1 by editing windows registry and if this doesn't works i can just install the modified iso in my computer and can make everything as low as possible like resolution ad hence forth i will be able to run windows 8.1 in my old android device. thanks for reaching the bottom fellas!! EDIT1: WINDOWS 8.1 DOESN'T HAVE CORONA EDIT2: I AM USING LIMBO AS AN EMULATION SOFTWARE EDIT3: I AM LOOKING FORWARD FOR MAKING USE OF 1GB SWAP STORAGE FROM AN EXTERNAL SD CARD WHICH WILL BE SLOW BUT MAY HELP US IN MAKING WINDOWS A LITTLE FASTER.

Dear reader, Im having the strangest thing happening to my phone WiFi, and I do not understand what is happening. Firstly I'll try to sketch what my network situation currently is: house, 3 floors. Base floor has modem/router. First floor has a Asus router that I have configured to an access point. Before this I had a different modem /router. That had bridge mode on it. Therefore my Asus router was in normal router mode. My phone WiFi worked fine. Because of work at home and relative weak signal I managed to convince the ISP to send a new modem /router. I removed bridge mode and started using that WiFi downstairs. To remove complications I then enabled AP mode on my Asus router upstairs. Ever since then my Xiaomi phone has been acting up. I would connect to the AP and it stays connected for 5 seconds (full signal strength) and then disconnect (2.4 and 5ghz)..when it disconnects the said would also then dissappear from the WiFi menu as if they no longer existed. (after a while they come back) And sometimes I connect and they stay connected(very rare). For as long as I like. Till I go outside and have to reconnect again when I get back. Then it might refuse again. I've tested on an old phone that has yet to fail to connect to the AP. Works every time. Connecting to me new modem / router works a charm on my phone as well. Tried factory reset on AP twice. Reseting network settings on phone multiple times. Problem keeps coming back, just in this phone. After switching to AP mode. Help. I am not technical enough to understand what could be causing this... If you need more info I'd happily provide it. Thanks in advance, Daniel

Hello, I've been having trouble sleeping, beacuse of this problem. I need a monitor for coding, designing websites and gaming. I've heard that VA has trouble displaying text - it's not clear and that's my main concern, because I'll be using either of these monitors for hours - especially with text. The Xiaomi Mi Display is 3440x1440 34" 21:9 , while the LG 27GL850 (it would rather choose the y27q-20, than the LG) is 2560x1440 27". I already have a monitor 24" TN panel, so I could use it as my secondary one. Please help me choose a monitor! I honestly don't know what to do. I've been going back and forth between thousands and thousands of monitors and I don't know which one to choose. (I'm in Europe)

news link another source I know most of you guys outside Asia don't have a lot of Xiaomi or Realme products but even low end Samsung phones have ads in their ui. Still these are huge companies selling a lot of phones and what worries me is that they could so easily harvest the data to serve users personalized ads! I don't know if they already do it but just imagine instead of your online activities being tracked now manufacturers track our daily usage to serve us ads. How long until that happens? Realme (spawn of oppo-bbk electronics so vivo, one plus sister company) has now started the ads in ui thing but at least from news sources it seems you can disable them. samsung had also followed xiaomis model of showing ads in the ui. This is a really irritating direction these companies are headed in. At least in India many people dislike Xiaomi for their ads and they still sell a lot of phones! If this continues soon consumers wont have a choice of having ad free phones in the low end market. Now, realme also has offerings which compete in the value flagship category along with one plus and xiaomi which aren't exactly cheap so just how much must they earn through ads if they're ready to take all the damage to their brand and reputation from showing ads to consumers? Realme has already called shots on xiaomi for serving ads and now theyre going back on their words. Another aspect to consider is that a person has already paid for the hardware and software that was installed. Can companies now generate revenue after they have sold you the product through software updates like this? It is similar to what linus was talking about in a wan show about tesla cars increasing their speed through a paid software update but at least that has an additional benefit on top of what you have already paid for. I know it allows them to produce phones with extremely thin margins and compete but at what privacy cost to the consumer?

Hi Guys! First time posting here. I was hoping to receive some suggestions on a possible deal i was looking forward to conclude in the next few days. I'm currently using an Asus N580VD FI038T which features an i7-7700HQ, screen up to 4K res., Gtx1050 4gb, 16gb Ram, 512 Ssd and 1tb Sata. Since i wanted some extra boost while doing my music production & design stuff i bought a Mi Gaming Notebook (i7-7700, 16gb Ram, 256gb SSD, 1tb SATA, and a Gtx1060 6gb) for about $800 while on offer. Basically this one: https://it.gearbest.com/laptops/pp_1698596.html I've barely set it up cause i was looking forward to organize everything between the external drives and the Asus in first place and then move on the MI. Thing is...today i've seen another Mi Gaming notebook and a sudden regret bout' the latest purchase kicked in....as this time featuring an i7-9750H, Gtx2060, 144Hz screen, 16gb Ram, 512gb Ssd and the usual 1tb Sata. for about $1450. https://www.banggood.com/Xiaomi-Gaming-Laptop-15_6-inch-Intel-Core-i7-9750H-NVIDIA-GeForce-RTX2060-144Hz-16GB-GDDR4-RAM-512GB-PCle-SSD-Notebook-p-1585486.html?rmmds=cart_middle_products&ID=3162&cur_warehouse=CN So now i'm stuck wondering if i should go for that one considering the hardware specs and sell the other two notebooks (got a possible buyer for the Asus already) or just keep the first MI with GTX1060 and wait for something else later on. I've no experience with the 20xx series of cards and beside knowing bout' the raytracing features that latest games support other than 3d modelers suck as Blenders via add-ons, i was also wondering if there's issues of any sort while using them on Windows10. Any info and suggestion is appreciated!
