It's actually just crazy that this is implemented and working correctly. There is no other company that I think would waste time and money to do the programming and testing for an aspect ratio like this. The reply is from the guy that supposedly did the actual testing for this aspect ration at CDPR: [@LinusTech seems like Witcher 3 is your game, as it supports the 96:9, aka UltraUltraUltraWide aspect ratio lol]

The makers of Witcher 3 announced on twitter that they will be releasing an "Enhanced version" of the game so that it can run on the latest hardware- making full use of it. It also regularly goes on sale on Steam, so look out for it! Source: https://twitter.com/witchergame/status/1301826520311369728

My laptop is Lenovo E590. The specs are: - 8th gen Core i7-8565U Processor ( 1.80GHz 8MB ) - Radeon rx 550x 2 GB graphics (1176 MHz 128 Bit) - 8 GB ddr4 ram I tried to play GTA 4 but it ran with minimum graphics. Is it possible to run Witcher 3 at medium graphics? Can I do anything to run it better?

Hello everyone, Let's get this out of the way first: I hate wires. I love wireless tech because i think that it is the future. So i recently bought a Lenovo Legyon Y540 (i5 9300H / RTX2060) and a Smart TV (LG 49UM7100PLB) because i really, really wanted to sit on my couch with my Wireless XBox One controller in hand and play the Witcher 3 (for the 3rd or 4th time). I used the Windows 10 Connect function to connect my laptop to the TV (Wireless); set the TV screen as the only screen active; and launched the Witcher 3 and it worked. But something was a miss. The quality of the image was poor. i mean, it was playable but it looked bad. The foliage looked like blobs of green squares and it took a very long time for the image to sharpen itself so that it, again, looked decent. Now, don't think i'm stupid in using tech that i do not understand, or expecting miracles from tech which are very far off. I knew from the very beginning that this would not work well and connecting to wireless displays is not for playing graphically intense games; but i was expecting it to be way better that it actually is. So, my questions are: where do you think the problem lies? and what can i do to improve this experience? For reference, i already gave you the model of my laptop and TV; they are both connected to the 5Ghz wireless band of my home router: D-Link DIR842 (yes, it has crossed my mind that this router could act as a bottleneck. I will be testing this later this week with a friend who is rich and whom can afford more expensive networking kit). Also, just for reference, i have tried both 1080 and 4K (because i'm insane) and they pretty much behave the same. Also, also, i have tried both Low graphics settings in game and Ultra and Ultra behaves better for some reason. (you would think that having to pass more graphical data through a 5Ghz WiFi network would make the experience worse, but, in fact it makes it better). Also, also, also, the TV is set in Game Mode (because i'm ... Gaming) and the WiFi signal.... well, basically i took the router and placed it between the Laptop and the TV and it didn't make a difference.

Hey, I'm thinking of getting a new MSI 1080Ti Gaming X early next month (wanted to get the 2080 but decided it wasn't worth it in the end). This is my current hardware: i7-4790k MSI GTX 970 MSI Z97 Gaming 7 motherboard Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8) DDR3 RAM Antec VP650P power supply I'll be swapping out the 970 for the 1080Ti and I was wondering if I'll be able to play The Witcher 3 with all settings maxed out and with Hairworks ON (and at max quality) at a minimum 60fps? I'll be playing at 1080p and my current 970 often struggles to maintain 60fps in this game with max settings. With a bit of tuning the settings I can get the 60 frames but only with Hairworks OFF. Once I turn them on, I get a significant loss of fps. Will the 1080Ti be able to solve this problem at 1080p? I know this is a very powerful card but then again Hairworks is a VERY demanding feature. Online I see a lot of guys who actually seem to prefer keeping Hairworks OFF because they say they actually like Geralt's beard & hair better that way, so this might not be a problem for some but I personally LOVE what Hairworks does to the beard, so this is important to me. Any input would be much appreciated, Thanks in advance!

UPDATE! valve has gone back on their desion and is now allowing these games again full details in this post from matrix07012 HI, secend times the charm Sources: Polygon: https://www.polygon.com/2018/5/18/17368814/steam-visual-novels-nsfw-takedown-valve Jim Sterling: Valve is going to be in some deep shit for a while as they have angered an entire community that likes this category But games like Witcher 3 and GTA5 have full on nudity scenes that the player can acess Some developers haven't been even notified about this This big problem is that games like WItcher 3 and GTA5 might be removed but there is no confirmation on this at all valve has said sorry to both Lupiesoft and HunieDev for this and is not removing their games but others are still under elvaluation so to sum it up, a group called "Mortality and Media" (or as they are more known as: MIM or the National Center of Sexual Exploitation) is pushing valve to remove these games from their store they are more known for pushing paypal not to allow payments that include porn or anything relating to porn, which really screwed over the porn industry as paypal is safer than just giving your credit card information! MY VIEW: if people want to play riscie games, they can go right fucking ahead, what isn't ok is that you can't enjoy your game becuse some dickhead is trying to stop you if it's illegal then thats a different story, what people like is what they like! the concerning bit is that they might take down GTA5 and WItcher 3, 2 really big games, if they do that, the gaming community isn't going to be happy and there will be a war I hope to god that valve reveres this decision and compleatly ignores "Morality and Media" and continues on with their day all i can tell you is that this isn't going to end well with either MAM or valve having a bad public view i encourage you to help out anyway you can to stop this, spam Valve's twitter saying that this isn't right, and telling everyone you know about this as these developers don't have a say in this they are powerless, they depend on their games for income and we should help them out as much as possible as if you were being kicked down, powerless to stop it, would you need help to stop this? i would say yes, having an entire community back you to help you so you can express your art/personality would encourage you not to take this shit! Your views and thoughts are your own, don't attack other because they like something your don't otherwise the mods will ban you/remove your comment and issue a warning also sorry for not formatting this very well, i wanted to get it out quick as you guys could be notified about this

Hi, I'm about to buy The Witcher 3 GOTY used for $36 for my friend for Christmas. However, on the Amazon warehouse listing, it says 'Downloadable content might already be redeemed'. I also know that the two expansions are on the disk, and not downloaded via code redemption. Is it possible for the DLC to have 'already been redeemed'? Or is my friend going to have access to all the DLC if I buy him the disk? Thanks, Aereldor.

so i have played only one RPG game before, which is Dragon's Age Inquisition and idk about u but i found that game super boring so i stopped playing it. witcher 3 is a couple of years old now and i see people recommending it alot. they are like its a game that you should not miss so u must play it. i also heard that it has a good story. i love games which has good stories and ones that are action/adventure. an example would be the assassins creed series (Ezio's story).one thing im concerned about RPG games is having to do lots of side missions. now my game time is short. i can spend a maximum of 2hrs a day for gaming. so does witcher 3 make u do tons of side missions to unlock a main mission? If so is it fun doing them?

I recently upgraded my processor hoping it would fix my fps problems in the Witcher, however I noticed something odd, my game is only using 50-60% of my GTX 1060 and in the pause menu it shoots up to 100% usage. There isnt a cpu bottleneck with my i5 6600, nor does changing any settings affect the framerate, in general my frames average from 30-50 and for some reason it won't go up to over 60 like it is supposed to. Was there a driver update for Nvidia that is causing this problem? Specs: GTX 1060 6GB i5 6600, Hyper 212 Evo Hyperx Ram 2133mhz

Please excuse my inexperience. I just built a new system with an i7 7700k and an asus gtx 1080 strix. And after watching several benchmarks and reviews I was very hyped to play the witcher 3 on maxed settings at insane frame rates. A little background info that might help in diagnosis. I had windows 10 and several apps and games downloaded onto my ssd and hdd prior to switching hardware, so all i did when i built my new system was just booted with the preinstalled windows 10 pro on ssd, i dont know if this helps at all. K now to the real problem so after running windows i downloaded the most recent chipset and Nvidia drivers then downloaded the witcher 3, set all settings to max disabled vsync and set frame limit to unlimited and began playing. And to my dismay I was only reaching 40fps at 1080p. Bare in mind this is stock 4.2GHz on 7700k. If someone could help me figure out why my computer is underperforming so badly would be much appreciated. So as the title says, my Witcher 3 game has been crashing on every start up. I found that closing MSI Afterburner allows my game to load and operate properly. Anyone else with this issue? Is there a setting or way to allow MSI Afterburner and a game to coexist peacefully? Also, if I close MSI Afterburner to run Witcher 3 are the OC settings still applied or do they negate back to factory settings for the card? Thanks, Riqsha

personally how much point will you give witcher 3 out of 10
DKwilliamson posted a topic in PC Gaming
Hey friends when I completed this game ,I agreed that this game is truly a masterpiece. The story, characters, world are so immersive that you will get immersed in it and will somehow affect your feelings.I will easily give it at least 9/10 or maybe 10/10 as I really enjoyed it.So the question is,how much point will you give it out of 10? -
Just came back to Witcher with the same mod setup I had been using without issues for a long time. I have no idea what mod or missing file these refer to. Was hoping someone could shed some light on what these mean/how to fix them. I've run WitcherScriptMerger and found no conflicts from the mods themselves. Greetings. I uninstalled The Witcher 3 to make room for a few other programs and files a while ago, but I'd like to install it again. However, I only have about 125GB of bandwidth left until the end of the month. The official requirements are 35GB for the base game, 10GB for Hearts of Stone, and 35 more for Blood and Wine. However, given the sheer disparity in scale between the Blood and Wine DLC and the base game (the latter being far bigger), I didn't know if this was legitimate. I would appreciate if someone could tell me what the size of their Witcher 3 folder is, with all the DLC installed and the latest patch. Regards, Aereldor.

Hi Guys I'm running the witcher 3 with 2 evga 1080 classifieds in sli with the nvidia HB bridge and I only achieve 40fps with all settings cranked. All online benchmarks with 1080s in sli on this game report 70+ fps. I disable SLI and achieve around 32 fps with settings cranked on a single card so I see very poor scaling. With Crysis 3, I only get about 40fps in SLI while many benchmarks I've seen report 70ish. The scaling with Crysis is much better as I get 1/2 that frame rate with SLI disabled. In precision oc I see that while running the witcher 3 both GPUs have around 65% load while the clock speed settles to a steady 2076MHz. Lowering the resolution in the witcher 3 gives a nice bump in the fps so I don't think my CPU is the issue. Any hints or tips on how I might replicate the benchmarks I've seen online? While people are being sent to jail for imaginary crimes by the big studios, the developers over at CD Projekt Red, makers of the Witcher series, tell us a different story than what our corporates masters wants us to believe: WUT??? So you're telling me that as a developers or publisher, if i am fair to the consumer and give them a good product, people will lean more toward buying mt stuff instead of pirating it? That i don't even need DRM stuff taking a toll on performance to see a positive income? That a pirated copy doesn't mean a lost sale? NO WAY! So after playing Warhammer total war for 74 hours it seems my gpu has been at 90 to 94 degrees the whole time. not sure if this is bad but it's pretty hot After trying it on my witcher 3 (I have also played the game last year with the same gpu) it's maxing out at 93 degrees. I've checked framerate via fraps and so far it's all playable and I don't see any problem with performance. so should I not worry about 94 degrees max ? and yes I recently checked HW monitor because I was curious. I've also tried Heaven benchmark gpu is only maxing around 85 degrees.

I am having a problem with The Witcher 3 screen tearing. So I turned on the Nvidia adaptive VSync to try and fix that. The problem would go away only however if the fps at 60. When it dips to 40ish fps it feels like 22-25 fps. Nevertheless, if I don't have any VSync on whether that be it in the Nvidia control panel or the in-game VSync. I get massive screen tearing of course when the fps is 60 + but the dips down to 40 fps feels like 40 fps. Also, I have the in game fps cap at unlimited. Even if I set that to 60, I get the same result as with the Nvidia adaptive VSync. This is weird because I used adaptive VSync on my other games and never have this problem before (GTA V, Warhammer Total War, Red Orchestra 2, etc.)

Greetings. The new DLC for The Witcher 3, 'Blood and Wine', is due to release in about ten days, and I don't have the first one, 'Hearts of Stone' either. On the list of DLCs on Steam, I noticed that I could purchase both 'Hearts of Stone' and 'Blood and Wine' individually, as well as an expansion pass that 'grants access' to both 'adventures'. My question is- if I buy the expansion pass, will I have access to both DLCs? Or will I have to pay for the DLCs themselves as well? (the latter would be quite the bummer). Regards, Aereldor.
