Hello, My specs are intel core i7 11th gen, ram 16 GB, 500 GB SSD, And a intel iris xe grapics. I wan't to install Windows 7 on this hardware but many people have been telling me my hardware is too new and Windows 7 is too old. People are saying it's very likely Windows 7 wont even boot on my system as it won't know what to do with the CPU, Chipset, USB, SSD/HDD Controller or anything else. Please don't tell me to use Windows 10 as I want to use Windows 7. And I also know it has security risks and is End of Support but please do help me. I just want to use Windows 7 on this system. Thanks.

For a few months now, my PC has been giving me a lot of problems regarding nvidia. I have GTX 1070 ti Whenever I boot up my PC and then start a video on YT or a Gif, my screen goes black, flashes, I hear a USB disconnection noise, and then comes back. Sometimes after said blink/disconnection, my taskbar icons disappear. When I try to play a game in fullscreen in a different (lower) resolution than native, it will not let me. It just plays the game in a tiny window on the corner of my screen. When I open Geforce experience, I find that it has uninstalled itself. A few days ago, said blink led to a BSOD, which left a memory dump with nvlddmkm.sys as the error. Does anybody who's experienced this before have any idea what is going on with my drivers/card?

I just built my pc last night and I've been working on trying to get it to boot up. My friend gave me a flash drive with Windows 10 on it but it ended up having other stuff on that drive too, don't know if that matters or not. When I get into the bios I either try to boot using UEFI partition 1 or USB then after that one of two things happens it goes to a blue windows logo with no spinning dots or is stuck on the ASRock screen. I got a new usb drive and have downloaded that with windows but it hasn't fixed it. Any recommendations on how to fix it?

Hey all, I'm back with my stuttering problem but I've tried quite a lot of things in my off time to narrow down exactly what could be causing this and this ain't much to go off, but all I can equate it to is high frametime spikes. Things I've tried: Disabled PBO (prebuilt manufacturers enabled it even though he had stock cooler) Updated all drivers via AMD Auto detect Made sure Ryzen Master was running on the default OC mode Disabled XMP (and setting different memory times) Increased DRAM voltage Disabling Radeon Software Auto OC tuner Disabled Freesync Disabled Vsync Disabled Enhanced Sync Increased memory clock Decreased core clock Cleaning old drivers with the AMD cleanup utility Disabled PCIE power saving Disabled 10-bit pixel format Disabled Microsoft game bar Disabled discord overlay Set audio channel to "stereo" Increased the card's power limit via MSI Afterburner Updated Ryzen Master Set refresh rate to 60hz (from 144) Set games to run at 1080p Clean install of W10 and drivers The only thing that worked in this list was changing the refresh to 60hz from 144hz, an unlocked fps at 60hz would still resort in the same stutter but if I locked the frames to 60, boom stutter gone. but now I deal with a choppy 60hz experience. I also have screenshots of various monitoring programs/HTML to HWINFO, if anyone has any other ideas to try, or whatever this problem *could* be, I appreciate it.(Also I apologize for not being able to zoom in on the graphs, I was using sharex to capture screenshots took some time getting used to) if you need any other information from me do let me know. techsupport Memory maxing out at 50% usage.
RVRocks posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hey everyone! Recently I have had some issues with my PC underperforming in certain tasks, such as gaming, video editing, and recording, this digs into my workflow quite a bit. I run 32 gigs of Ram, an RTX 2080 and a Ryzen 5950x, so I always expected that my PC should be performing better than it is. Recently when working my PC started underperforming more than usual, and I noticed, despite my PC acting as if it had been pushed to its absolute limit, My RAM was only at 48% usage, and then I realized that I don't think I have ever seen my PC ever go above 50% memory usage, is there some kind of trick I am missing? -

Hello everyone, It's been about a week since my computer started freezing on it's own. my computer is a lenovo ideapad 100-15IBD and my system spec is CPU : i3-5005U GPU : Geforce 920M Memory : 4 GB 1600Mhz DDR3 Storage : 860 EVO 512GB For now I've tried to remove fast boot, remove PCIe sleep and tried to run sfc /scannow but it doesn't seem to have solved it. If this other information helps, I usually run chrome, discord and rarely other programs (Fusion 360, Hitfilm, GIMP...) sidenote: the freezing occurs every 6-8 hours so It will take some time to see if your solution worked

Terrible FPS with AMAZING PC - Done everything under the sun, nothing has fixed it What I HAVE done. Ran various benchmarks Clean installed windows MULTIPLE times installed all chipset drivers to their latest versions clean installed graphics drivers, rolled them back etc swapped out GPU with one of the same. New RAM reset CMOS updated bios reset all settings to default with only DOCP enabled done every nvidia control panel config imaginable overclocked, underclocked tried new storage devices tried everything with only 1 monitor. Alot more stuff that I cant fully remember. Temps and clocks are perfectly fine, 0 throttling going on. So, ive been having really bad fps issues with this PC since ive had it, which is about 2 years ago now. So I decided to run Timespy just to see and damn, the score from my Ryzen 2700x sucks. Compared to most other people using one my score is like, 3000+ points lower. My frames must be a CPU issue, ive changed my GPU with another of the same, didnt fix it, also the ram has been changed. Ill post my specs below, along with my average frames with games and also a pic of my entire timespy results. My Specs are as follows. RTX 2080TI (No overclock - Have tried and doesnt do anything) Ryzen 2700x (no overclock - Have tried and doesnt do anything) 16GB DDR4 @ 3200mhz Games installed on a NVME SSD Playing in 1080p @ 144hz Average frames are as follows. Biggest example: - I have been playing Days Gone, with my spec people have been getting frames with an average of 140fps, @ 1080p max settings. With Dips to no less than 100. Im getting an average of 70fps with dips into the low 50's all the time, lowest ive seen is 49fps thus far. Its not like its a stutter to that frame, its @ 49fps until I move away from that area, then when I come back the frames tank again, even then, the highest ive ever seen it go it 90, and thats in the middle of nowhere with nothing on screen. Even with everything happening benchmarks show specs like mine never dropping to 49, hell not even dropping below 100. This should NOT be happening with a PC like this. Call of Duty: Warzone - Average of 58fps with frequent dips to 49fps @ 1080p (changing settings from highest to lowest settings does literally nothing). Call of Duty: Black Ops, Cold War - Average of 60fps with frequent dips to 55 fps @ 1080p (changing settings from highest to lowest settings does very little) Cyberpunk 2077 - Average of 40fps without raytracing, average of 30 with raytracing @ 1080p (Changing from highest to lowest settings only gives me about 10 more fps). Horizon: Zero Dawn - Average of 55fps @ 1080p, changing from highest to lowest settings nets me about 20fps giving me an average of 75fps but still dips well below 60 in some areas). DayZ: Standalone - Average of 50fps @ 1080p, changing settings doesnt do anything. World of Warcraft - Average of 52fps @ 1080p (Changing from highest settings to the lowest settigns nets a huge performance gain, this is the only game that has this effect. Ill sit at about 100fps with everything as low as it can go) Valorant - Average of 120fps @ 1080p (Changing from highest to lowest settings changed the average to about 140fps, also @ 1080p) Escape from Tarkov - Average of 50fps @ 1080p with drops to 40fps fairly often (Changing settings does practically nothing) Ive done everything you can think of to fix my frames. So, does anyone here have any clue to whats going on, temps are always fine on both the GPU and CPU, so are the clock speeds. So no throttling, ive reinstalled windows countless times, even fresh install with nothing on my pc but drivers and one game to test, ive reset the cmos, clean drivers. Im at a complete loss. EDIT: Doesnt seem to let me post a picture for some reason. My GPU Score (2080ti) was 13,534 My CPU Score (Ryzen 2700x) was 7,438

So i think i have done everything. I have updated my BIOS,Gpu driver. So i have come to you loton the LTT Forum to see if you know how to solve the issue i am having with my Monitor (AOC CU34G2X). I have had the monitor for about a year now and only notice the issue when i am trying to krun the monitor at 144hz. I currently have it locked at 120hz. The steps I have tried are the following: Change from HDMI to Display Use new HDMI and DP cables Used different ports on the Monitor Updated all my drivers for the GPU Monitor drivers are up to date I havnt tried disconecting my other monitor (ASUS 24") as i dont think that is causing the issue...but it could be. I am running a ASUS ROG STRIX 1070 OG GPU and a Ryzen 7 3700X (I know the CPU wont make a difference). Would it be the fact that the GPU cant support the Resolution of both monitors combined or something else. p.s. I am hopefully (If there are new stock) going to be grabbing a ASUS TUF 3080 when they next become avaiable. Thanks :) Flicker.mp4

hey guys, HAPPY NEW YEAR! I have a HP prebuilt (i5-4460, 4GB RAM, intel hd 4600) that came with a 300w standard efficiency PSU. I have added a gtx 1050ti, 2 SSDs and 8GB of RAM as after market upgrades, pushing the PSU to its limits. It ran fine for over 3 years For the past week, my PC randomly shuts down, sometimes it comes back up automatically, sometimes it doesnt. No BSOD also, just shuts down. I'm 99% certain its the PSU. I cant really afford any upgrades right now. So i was wondering if i could disable the 1050ti (since it draws the most power) and use the integrated graphics. I really dont wanna remove it entirely from my system, as it might get damaged outside of the system (or i might forget that i still own it a few years down the road) I'll be fine with intel HD for the time being as i hardly game anymore and just use the PC for my online classes and studies. And will my system boot with intel hd after disabling my 1050ti or do i need to boot with intel HD first and then disable my 1050ti ? irdk anything, please help me

Hey guys once again! Today I have noticed some kind of a moisture on my Wraith Prism cooler, right under the fan on the black plastic. It wasn't that much, it was like a drop of something. I think that it could be oil from the fan, because when I wiped the moisture, it would make the area where I whiped shiny/greasy. I didn't found any kind of moisture in my other fans in my PC, so I think it's something to do with the cooler and not my room where the PC is. I would be glad to hear from you guys. Also can I ask something about cleaning the fans. Can I move them clockwise or counterclockwise when cleaning them with something like a cotton swab. I heard that blowing them with an air compressor could damage them, but I think just moving them a bit couldn't damage them at all.

Hello there So I have a refurbished AW 13 R3 which always had problematic bluetooth, and I didn't think much about it, I just got a BT adapter and called it a day. However, upon closer inspection after some time, I noticed that the auxilliary cable of the network card is unplugged and wrapped in tape, as in it hasn't got the adaptor end. Now I know this is mainly for wifi, but has this cable anything to do with the sucky bluetooth? I would replace the cable without much fuss, but I'd have to do a full laptop dissasemply, which I'd rather not for only this thing. Also if I were to replace the cable, does it really need to follow the same route inside the chassis? I mean if it really is just an antenna maybe I could fit in in another place (somewhere away from the hot parts)?

Hello peeps, I recently built my first computer on an AMD platform. I was excited that I was going to install windows, update the drivers, etc. But unfortunately, I did not get a display output. My CPU does not have integrated graphics. I contacted MSI Tech Support to see if it was a motherboard related issue. I flashed my bios, but that didn't seem to work. Could it be the graphics card of my pc that's causing the display to not work? Specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X GPU: MSI Geforce RTX 2060 Super CPU Cooling: Stock AMD Wraith Cooler MOBO: MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX PSU: Thermaltake 80 Plus 700W Power Supply HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB SSD: WD Blue 500GB MEM: Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB RAM @ 3200mhz Case: Corsair Carbide Series SPEC DELTA RGB P.S: It probably doesn't help my situation any more from the fact that I bought the graphics card from someone off of ebay. Might've been where I went wrong. Any comments and criticism is appreciated!

Hello, i bought this computer in around may and ive had no problems with it. But around a month ago with a driver update the gpu started crashing when i launched a gpu intensive task. I usually open rocket league let it crash a few times and then the gpu goes back to working as normal. But if i open csgo for example it works fine but i have random black lines appearing in the start menu and if i start playing a match it crashses (because the gpu starts going at 100% i think) So heres a few troubleshooting options i've tried: -Updating BIOS -Updating the Chipset -Reverting to old drivers -Reverting to stock GPU settings -Clean driver install using DDU -Reseating the GPU When i go to the reliability tool first i get LiveKernelEvent 141 and sometimes i get LiveKernelEvent 117 PC Specs: I3 8100 RX 570 Asrock Phantom Gaming 4GB 8x1 GB DDR4 Ram PSU 700W Coolermaster masterwatt lite Asus Prime H310M-R R2 Windows 10 Pro build 2004

Hello guys, I have a problem. Ever since I bought a new router (TP-link archer) a couple of weeks ago, I started experiencing some weird issues with my wireless network. The wireless connection on all my devices are fine. I have a couple of access points hooked up to it, and the wireless connectivity is perfect. The problem, however, is that my connection to the internet only works half of the time. For example; when I'm refreshing this forum, the refresh will only work half of the time, and the other times it will just give me a no internet error. This only happens on wireless. All of my wired devices are working perfectly fine. This problem occurs on all of my access points, and on the WiFi coming directly of my router. I do have a router from my ISP as well. That one is sitting in a corner, connected directly to my other router. And no, I can't put it in bridge mode unfortunately. It does have DMZ turned on for my other router. I always had it set up this way and it worked perfectly fine, until I bought my new router. TLDR: Bought a new router, internet only works half of the time while reception and connectivity is fine. Thanks in advance! (sorry if there are mistakes in my English, it's not my first language)

Hello. So a bit of backstory behind my issues. I stream to twitch using SLOBS. I mainly stream osu! (which has never given me any issues), but whenever I would try to stream a game such as Overwatch, my SLOBS would crash, along with all of the other programs running on my computer. After this happening to me many of times, I decided to look into what may be causing such issue. For the past couple of days I have been running test streams on SLOBS and messing around with certain settings. I would find myself having the same issue, osu! runs fine, but everything would crash when I would try to load up any kind of fps game. After messing around with settings for a couple of hours, I had thought that I had fixed my issue. I had uninstalled OBS, StreamElementsOBS.live, RazerCompanionApp, and NVIDIA Broadcaster (which I had been using for my mic). I disabled my steam wallpaper engine while running a stream and seemed to be able to stream these fps games fine now. Ensuring that my Windows GameMode was turned off with all of those other settings disabled, along with disabling any overlay that might have been running with the game seemed like the solution for me. That was until I got back onto my computer the next day to try and play COD Warzone. Trying to run this game caused some of the worst problems to my GPU. Attached below are some screenshots of some crash messages I have got, along with a video of what the crashes look like from my end (it was originally a Snapchat video I sent to my friend, so I apologize for the language). My drivers are up to date and I even uninstalled and reinstalled my GeForce Studio Driver. I haven't done any serious overclocking apart from using the Gigabyte EasyTune AutoTuning feature (which I am unsure even did anything). I have my specs posted below as well. Is this an issue that can be solved by myself, or is my GPU broken? GPU - EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor Motherboard- Gigabyte GA-AB350-GAMING 3 ATX AM4 Motherboard RAM - 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4-2400 Storage- 2x1TB WD Caviar Blue HDD Cooler- be quiet!
