Got a 3000 on time spy bench mark and getting average of 27.8fps on radeon setting menu when I alt in ets2 on 1080p ultra! On cpuz my cores were around 800mhz each and I installed the cpu and gpus latest drivers... The build is 16 hours old... Been using the following spec and system for around 5 years now: i5 3570k 16gb DDR3 ram 500w psu (gigabyte ga-z77x-d3h motherboard) EVGA GTX 960 2gb Short story: I was replacing my gtx 960 to the one I got from a friend which is RX 570 4gb reference model, that was from his Dell inspiron tower (used for 1 year). I also have RX 580 4gb that I bought from Ebay. Desktop turns on with fans spinning and LED lights on mouse and keyboard, but no signal on monitor tried Hdmi to Dvi-d cable, no signal. Tried different monitor with hdmi to hdmi..no signal. Things Ive tried is CMOS, Reseat rams, diff PCIE slot Update: so, here is what bios looks like using my old GTX 960 and looking at Bios https://ibb.co/n17HxB2 https://ibb.co/JQm8D9d Window is installed on Legacy https://ibb.co/8Xw1MSJ I have a feeling that its about bios..but idk what to touch and try. HELPS!!

Hi Guys, Im building a PC soon and dont know whether to buy the gtx 1070 or the RX 580 8GB. Specifically its between the Asus ROG STRIX Gtx 1070 https://www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-Strix-GeForce-GDDR5-Graphics/dp/B01HMDRY7E/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=ROG+STRIX+1070&qid=1594743492&sr=8-1 vs or the Asus ROG STRIX Rx 580 8gb Overclocked edition or the Sapphire Nitro+ rx 580 (which of these two rx 580's would be better for performance and thermals) https://www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-ROG-STRIX-RX580-8GB-GAMING-Graphics-Radeon-GDDR5/dp/B071CP4MPX/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=asus+rog+strix+580&qid=1594743607&sr=8-2 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sapphire-Radeon-Special-2xHDMI-Graphics/dp/B073F1286D Do not worry I am not paying amazon prices - £150 for the RX 580 8GB ASUS/ similar price or lower for the sapphire card or £180 for the gtx 1070. I have a 1080p display and want nice 60fps on high. Has the rx 580 drivers make it much better now?

Hi guys, I'm building a system soon and wonder which card is better (both are the Asus rog strix 3 fan design). I want to know which one is better and if the difference is significant. I've heard that AMD driver updates made the rx 580 perform much better than before? I really don't care if I have nvidia or AMD card in my system. All I care about is performance, value and thermals etc. Take care, Pete.

Hi, I need some help. So I currently have a Ryzen 3 2200G CPU and a RX 570 GPU. I’m looking to upgrade my graphics card, and I’m having some trouble deciding on what to get. From doing a bunch of research, I’ve come down to two good options under $200ish: RX 580 and 5500XT. Which would be a better option?

Hello everyone, I know dual RX 580 crossfire won't full utilize many games but how about for content creation. I'm a full time freelancer in video editing & graphics design. I use davinci resolve & many other software for designing. I don't have a budget right now for RTX 2080 or TI version. So I'm planning to crossfire dual rx 580, is it worth for content creator ? Also I'm using hackintosh catalina. My specs are i7 4790k b85m-d3h a 8 GB DDR3 RAM 240 SSD for OS 1 TB HHD for files

I would want some help with overclocking my rx 580. Right now the power is +15, the core is 1449MHz and the memory clock is 2101MHz. What can i change?

I have an AMD ryzen 5 2400g on a secondary PC. I bought a RX 580 the other day and it came in today. Should I use DDU and uninstall the Integrated Graphics Drivers on the Ryzen 5 and do a clean install of AMD Radeon software for the RX 580, or keep it?

Hi! I have been thinking about upgrading my i7 3770 system it has an rx 580 and I'm starting to feel the .1% lows fps drops. If I only plan to upgrade the cpu/mobo/ram and not the gpu woud it be worth it? Also, should I wait for b550? or just buy a x570 board right now

I am looking to buy a new psu. This is my system: cpu: amd ryzen 5 3600 gpu: msi radeon rx 580 8gb oc mobo: gigabyte aorus pro b450 ram: 2x8gb corsair vengence 3000mhz storage: 1x ssd 250gb | 1x hdd 500gb 7200rpm fans: 3x140mm | 1x120mm So after searching for a while in the available shops I figured out the best options I got are Seasonic CORE GC 650 and Seasonic CORE GM 500. They are both 80 gold plus, and I've read some good reviews, but 500 version is semi-modular and 650 version is full-wired. Also the 650 costs about 5 more EUR. So the question is, are 500 watts going to be enough for my system? Or should I get 650 which feels like is going to be an overkill? if there was a 550 or 600 version I would have definatelly gone for that one... I am also thinking about adding 1 or 2 led strips in the feature. Dont know if that contributes at all... Thanks

Si i am looking at local website where people sell used stuff. I was wondering are these any good deal. rx 570 8 gb: new around 150€ rx 570 4gb: new around 140€ rx 580 4gb: new around 170€ and the prices for them are rx 570 4gb: 90€ the cheapest (asus expedition) and 110€ the most expensive model (asus strix) rx 570 8 gb: 130€ rx 580 4gb: 90€ (asus dual) and 115€ (asrock phantom D) there are no listings on rx 590's or good listing on vegas is any of those deal a good buy or not? They are used, and i have the stuff to re apply thermalpaste and thermal pads.

I'm planned to buy RX 580 8gb but they increased from 170$ to 240$. They increased 70 freaking dollars I don't know why. So my friend suggests me to buy GTX 1060. The GTX 1060 6GB cost 180$ & RX 580 8GB cost 240$. My question is which graphics card should I buy ? I also need an new PSU since my current PSU has no 8 pin connector. So in this case I probably choose GTX 1060 for budget. But my question is does RX 580 perform more on gaming & video rendering ? I use resolve for video editing, is it good ? GTX 1060 6gb or RX 580 8gb ? Thanks in advance

So a friend of Mine decided that it would be a good Idea to buy An RTX 580 graphics card and an Dell optiplex So he could Have better gameplay. I told him it wasn't a good idea but he bought it anyway. If you've ever went onto ebay and searched for Desktops you are bound to see a dell optiplex tower (they're trash). Anyway I need some recommendations of some PC parts for him just in case this goes south He wants to play Rust Minecraft Subnatica Fortnite Unturned and something called assassins creed. He said his old computer couldn't run them at max graphics well anymore so he decided to upgrade.

Hello , I want to upgrade from a 950 sc into a 1650 super (the msi ventus xc oc) but I’m wondering if it’s going to be noisy and hot , because of its small form factor. I’m also considering buying an rx 580 because of the extra vram (the price is the same as the 1650s) . What should I do? Thanks in advance

I got GTA V from Epic yesterday and I just finished installing it on my SSD. When I played it, I was greeted with a smooth 100+ FPS in the first mission. All is good until I get to the second mission where Franklin and Lamar took the white and red cars. Looking at my frames from Afterburner+RTSS, my frames were at 70+ FPS but I am plagued with stutters. I can't get out of the alleyway without stuttering like crazy. Driving is impossible and it even freezes on me. I tried changing Fullscreen to Windowed Borderless, changing settings to Normal, deleting the GTA V documents folder, limiting to 60FPS. Nothing helped. I was able to play GTA V before using the same rig with a Sapphire RX 560 4Gb and I remembered having 0 issues. I also read that apparently, some Ryzen CPUs are having devastating lows but a very decent average. Kinda hopeless right now. I recently upgraded my graphics card from a GTX 560 Ti to a RX 580 4gb and I'm getting less FPS, around 30FPS less in Overwatch. I know that my CPU is bottlenecking my GPU but shouldn't there be at least some FPS increase with the same graphics settings? I'm currently playing with an AMD FX-4200 with 8GB of 1600MHz RAM. I would like to find a solution to this problem.

I'm using a RX 580 (Saphire Nitro+) and I'm getting some odd flickering in Overwatch, particularly on the route 66 map. The flickering is in the sky in the background, particularly in the clouds. It only occurs when I move my mouse, and not when I move my character. What settings could I change, and/or what could I tweak in afterburner or radeon to get it cleared up?

Hello, first and foremost I would like to state that my computer building and knowledge of PCs is rather low so please understand that this may be a rather "noob" question. I have recently built a entry level budget gaming/work PC with the following specs: CPU: Ryzen 3 2200G MOBO: B450M/ac RAM: 8gb (2x4gb 2666 MHz) GPU: Radeon RX 580 I just installed the GPU and was using the APU until this last week, so I was monitoring the specs of the RX 580 with HW Monitor. The case I am using is a Rosewill Ranger M with little to no cable management room so my insides are a hot mess (quite literally) as my GPU was clocking in at 85-90 degrees Celsius while playing. Long story short, my questions are as follows for anyone that may be able to offer guidance: -What is considered a safe range for GPU temps? I was only playing for about 20-30 minutes by the time it reached 90 -Does cable management effect my temp issues all that much in this case? Photo of my build for reference. -Would anyone recommend an open concept style case or a test bench case option instead? I am rather fond of the look of the test bench instead of a case but worry if that may not be safe or practical for a day to day use computer like mine. Thank you in advance! IMG_5191.HEIC

Hey LinusTechForums! Nice to meet you Back in 2015 ~ 2016 I built this build: CPU: i5 6400 Motherboard: H110M-DGS (Not quite this one, but very similar) Ram: 24 Gb 2133 Mhz GPU: GTX 950 Gigabyte OC, 2GB Case: InWin 301 Red Tempered Glass Premium Micro-ATX (Not quite this one, very similar but the one I got is discontinued) Storage: 1TB WD 3.5 HDD, AND NOOO SSD!!! I spent around 1000$ CAD for this build. To make matters worse, I bent the cpu socket pins! I re-bent them and then it worked (I bent like 20 of them, but when I fixed it, everything worked!). So now four years later, I'm having a hard time running games like Warzone. So, I really fucked up. To redeem myself, I wanted to make a really good build that focused on price to performance. I wasn't too picky, but I feel like I have improved my building skills. Here it is: Case: Thermaltake V21 Micro ATX Case (Modular! Super nice!) https://www.amazon.ca/-/fr/gp/product/B00PDDMN6S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 RAM: 16GB XPG 3600 Mhz https://www.amazon.ca/-/fr/gp/product/B07YZTJS56/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Storage: 500 Gb WD M.2 SSD, + my old 1TB HDD https://www.amazon.ca/-/fr/gp/product/B073SBX6TY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 CPU: Ryzen R5 3600 GPU: AMD RX 580 GB Motherboard: ASRock B450M PRO4 Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B450M Pro4/index.asp AIO: https://www.amazon.ca/-/fr/NZXT-Kraken-Kraken-M22-120mm/dp/B079JF6NDC/ref=sr_1_1?__mk_fr_CA=ÅMÅŽÕÑ&keywords=nzxt+kraken+single+fan&qid=1587442158&sr=8-1 I left the PSU out because I am using the same 650W Power supply for both builds, it's Gold rated and it does the job. The new build costs me ~ 750$ CAD. Talk about saving a lot of money for a waaayyyy better gaming experience right?! The biggest thing will be having an SSD, it will be crazy! By the way, if you're wondering why I did not get a better graphics card it's because I don't really care about graphically intensive games all that much, I play a lot of Supreme Commander and my processor was holding me back so the GPU upgrade was just a luxury. What do you guys think?

Hello, I'm new to LTT forums. I was cleaning & repasting my gpu the other day (which is a pre-owned Powercolor RX 580 probably ex mining, bought for about 75 USD converted) And I noticed some vacant solder points for other display ports supported by the card model. (Below is a reference photo of a Powercolor RX 580 PCB) ) Apparently this card I have only has a single DVI D port, but in Powercolor's site, all of their listed RX 580 variants support 3x DP, 1 HDMI, and 1 DVI-D. (Below is the photo of my actual card before cleaning) Disregarding how risky it would be, I was just wondering what would happen is someone were to miraculously solder some Displayport or an HDMI port into the PCB, would it work as an extra display output? or is it bad to even think about it.

Hi, I just got an msi rx 580 OC edition graphics card, and when I booted up to windows ten, I saw that in device manager, it says that my gpu is an rx 590. It also says that "windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems." I also can't get the drivers for it, because the radeon driver installer keeps thinking its a rx 590, instead of an rx 580. Help Please!!!

Hello, I have a Rx 580 from Asus, model Dual Oc 8g As a resume, every time I run a benchmark or game the card gives a BSOD. I change the drivers, same thing, I change the bios, same thing, I make a fresh windows install, same thing, I lower the gpu clocks and the power limit, I gain some seconds before BSOD, I can’t change much memory clock as it gives directly BSOD. When the BSOD occurs, the system freezes. I was able to see that by connecting another display to my MotherBoard: the screen connected to Gpu shows black and the one from motherboard shows Windows freeze. The Pc doesn’t restart when BSOD. By manually restarting everything goes back to the beginning. My system: i3-3220 300watt 80 plus bronze power supply 250Gb 3,5’ HDD Now, let me show you where I think might be the problem: https://imgur.com/a/Aej2XF2 There you can see two photos from a website of the same gpu, and three photos of a close look at the part where I found the missing components in my gpu. Well, I was able to find only one of two, but they looks the same, as you can see from the photo. Do you think that could be the problem? Are they necessary or is it just my gpu chip dying?

I built my PC in November of 2019. Parts were (originally): r5 2600, asrock b450 pro4, (2*8)16gb 3200mhz crucial ballistix, gigabyte windforce rx 560 4gb, 256gb nvme ssd, 2tb hdd. It worked just fine and I successfully used it as a hackintosh just out of curiosity. I have since upgraded from that gpu to a powercolor rx 580 8gb. I have not tried to hackboot with the 580 until last night. I wanted to check that catalina would work with the upgrade so i uninstalled by game drive and boot ssd and installed the mac hdd. I did this because i thought it would be more simple than dual booting through bios. after i plugged the hdd in it wouldnt post. fans spinning and lights on, no post. i reset the hardware back to my boot ssd and game drive and it still wouldnt boot. I panicked and borrowed my friend's pc (r3 3200g, msi b450m pro-vdh max, evga gtx 960 2gb, (2*8) 16gb gskill 3600mhz stock but running at 2666mhz for some reason) so i could troubleshoot and make sure i didnt kill my parts. First I put my 2600 in his system. Booted just fine, so the processor wasn't dead. Next I put my 580 in his system with my 2600, boot successful. I then put his 3200g in my motherboard and booted just fine with on board graphics. so my motherboard, cpu, gpu, and ram are still working. I went back to my original config and didnt boot. It seemed to be a bios issue, so I went into the bios with the 3200g and set everything to default settings and tried my 2600 again, unsuccessful. I popped out the CMOS battery and left it out overnight so it would have plenty of time to discharge (I know that probably wasnt necessary but other people online said it could take that long). I put it back in this morning but still didn't boot. Any ideas? The next step I was gonna take was updating the bios. Considering how risky that could be, are there any other options that would work?
