One of the members in Group B was forced to block me due to relationships, lets call them K. The other member in Group B is using a iPhone (one of the X models) One of the members in Group A is using a iPhone as well (one of the old models) I cant see none of the Groups, although when K talks in one of the groups, its also sent to me individually even though K deleted the number. Im using a Samsung Galaxy J2 Prime with Android 6.0.1 The messaging app is the default Samsung messaging app. This is very important because I cant get any of the work related texts and I could get fired.

I had my phone (Motorola G6) plugged in overnight to an extension lead but when I woke up and went to check my phone it didn't turn on. I tried the fingerprint sensor and power button but nothing. When I went to check the charger I noticed that it was half unplugged; I don't know how long it had been like this but could this have caused my problems? Thanks in advance. EDIT: I've had my phone plugged in for about another 10-15 minutes to see if it just wasn't charged and I just felt the phone and it's already quite warm. Does this mean anything?

Hello, I recently got a S9 (refurbished) and when I went to update it from Android 8, it didn't have any updates. Knowing how my old S8 is on android 9 I was trying to find out what happened. I checked Smart Switch, didn't say it had an update. Tried resetting to factory settings 3 times (didn't work). Clearing the cache didn't help either, even though so many recommend it to me. After 2 hours i gave up and here I am. I have no clue what to do or how to get it to Android 9. I can't really get to a Samsung or Carrier shop to get them to flash it so I'm trying to find fixes I can do. Any help is appreciated!!

I've been wanting an alternative to iOS and Android for a long time. And if this project is a success, we'll finally have an option. And it's an option that gives you full control, as Linux tends to do! Read more here: https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2019/09/purisms-librem-5-phone-starts-shipping-a-fully-open-gnulinux-phone/ "The internal construction of the Librem 5 is absolutely wild. While smartphones today are mostly a single mainboard with every component integrated into it, the Librem 5 actually has a pair of M.2 slots that house full-size, off-the-shelf LTE and Wi-Fi cards for connectivity, just like what you would find in an old laptop. The M.2 sockets look massive on top of the tiny phone motherboard, but you could probably replace or upgrade the cards if you wanted."

Can I use my phone or laptops while pluged in without damaging my battery in long term. I am kind of a person who like to use the elctronics to their full potential. I want to render my edited videos on my laptop. But its draining its battery pretty fast. I was able to found an option saying that the laptop automatically disconnect as it reaches 60% and maintain it between 60%-55%. Can I trust that facility? If you are ready to share your knowledge I would be more than happy.

I am semi-new to samsung phones, but when I bought my s9 unlocked, after downloading a few old photos, I found that there were about 40 gigabytes of 'personal files' preloaded onto the phone. I plan to install an sd card, but for now I need a way to get rid of this bloatware! Can anyone help? Here are some screenshots

Samsung was caught advertising the samsung note 9 while on an apple iphone. The worst part is that this isn't the first time this has happened to a smart phone company, also happened to Huawei. https://www.slashgear.com/samsung-tweets-from-iphone-to-promote-the-galaxy-note-9-02556566/ Any thoughts on this?

So I for one hate the idea of a notch on a screen and would much rather have bigger bezels than a glaring intrusion on my screen everytime I watch a video. But more than that I wouldn't mind no bezels but only if there's no compromises to finger print readers and cameras etc. The hole punch design at CES looks slightly better but it's still a big dot intruding on your screen. Here's my solution (until they can manage to put everything under the screen and it have no compromises). What about a phone with two screens one on the front and one on the back. The front screen has no bezells or anything and would be used for videos, games, social media etc. The back screen would have slimline but functional bezels, with a camera, finger print reader and speakers etc. Then you only need one set of cameras on the back which would offset the cost of the second display and your selfies would be better quality cause you're using the primary camera. No compromises and there's some smart controls that turn off the screen you aren't using to save battery. Plus with how tough screen protectors are now it'd be the same or tougher than a normal glass back. The only thing that might be inconvenient is face ID being on the back side but with a full speed finger print reader included, I'd say it'd be worth it to have no bezels, no notches and no compromises anywhere else. If you wanted to get really crazy you could do all this with a folding phone so you could also use it to game and for multitasking, although I'd say that would be a lot more niche lol. Of course you could just do a bezzeless design with no camera etc but that wouldn't let you take selfies or facetime properly and seems like more of a step back than going bezzelless. Thoughts?

The phone is a Xiaomi A2 Lite running 8.1 Oreo (Android One), I transferred the SD card from my previous phone (Nokia Lumia 630) and so far I haven't noticed that any files are missing, but when I connect the phone to my PC and choose the "Transfer Files" option it does show up on the PC but when I open the SD card (on PC) there are whole folders simply missing. I thought maybe it would only show the "default" folders that were created by the Lumia 630 and so I moved a folder to one of those "default" folders to test this (moved them on the phone not on PC) and nothing changed. Another thing I tried to see if anything would happen is I went into one of those folders that are shown and moved a few files in there to more folders, on PC it said "Mi A2 Lite is busy" and failed to move them so then I moved them directly on the phone, that was successful...on the phone, then I connected the phone again to check if the change will appear on PC and it didn't, on the PC it showed it like it was before I moved the files around on my phone. So basically the PC is stuck on one memory of the SD card (even after disconnecting the phone and reconnecting it to the PC) and there seems to be no way to move files from PC to phone and vice versa. Help?

Had to leave for school today and it was raining quite a bit. I missed the bus so I used my phone for 20 minutes. Some rain got on the screen. Fast forward to now, on the upper right of my screen there is a circular scratch / pit that isn't very visible but it still bugs me as the phone is only a month old. I wonder if it's the oleophobic coating or something else. When I rub the screen I don't feel anything and it doesn't go away. The scratch / pit is shaped like a rain drop.

Hi All, My current phone (an Honor 8), has been exhibiting some battery and performance issues recently, and with the smartphone season upon us, I'd like to buy a new phone. However, I'm having some trouble finding a phone that I'd enjoy using that would fit my criteria. One of the criteria would be that the phone would last me 3ish years, or more as after that time I'll be off to uni, and I doubt that money will be very plentiful at that time. Secondly, I'd like the screen to be either a very, very good LCD, or preferably an OLED, with ideally no notch, though if the only thing that doesn't fit is the notch, well, I guess I'll get used to it. Sort of fitting with the display is the battery, I want it to last at least 4h of screen on time, and the whole day's worth of use. Also about the display, I prefer smaller phones, under 6" of display ideally. I also take a lot of photos with my phone, so the camera should be at least 'good'. Finally, I want the software to be clean and have as little bloatware as possible. I'll be buying sim-free and in Europe, so I can get most if not all devices here. Price wise, hit me with it, I don't care. I'm looking for a flagship experience, and thus I have to be OK with a flagship price. I've avoided mentioning brands because I want to be as objective as possible, Instead of being emotionally attached to an OS or a brand, which is something I do too much and let it get in the way of purchasing good phones from other companies. If you can, please tell me as many phones that you know that even loosely fit my categories, thanks. -Lukas

I should be getting a new phone very soon, I've done my research for the last 2-3 months and I've come to the conclusion that the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite is the best choice for me and possibly for the price. It has everything I'd want, sadly it's not the "best" in any aspect but everything on it seems to be quite solid, unlike a lot of phones of which some have a great camera, CPU, display etc. but lack a few other features that are a must. There is one thing that I found a few different answers and I'm not sure which is true, that's about the A2 Lite's glass. Some sources say it's Gorilla glass 3, some say it's Gorilla glass 5 (I doubt this) and some say it's not Gorilla glass at all. I've watched those drop and scratch tests and the glass and screen seem to hold up great, although I've had people tell me theirs got scratched not long after getting them. But that's just something I'd like to know, I'll be getting a glass protector and a full flip case for it just to be sure anyway. But if anyone has any experience with it or knows of any good and/or bad things about the phone I'd appreciate if you'd share it to help me decide if I should go for it or pass.

What are your thoughts on IKEA’s new USB charger “ÅSKSTORM”?: https://www.ikea.com/se/sv/p/askstorm-40w-usb-laddare-moerkgra-50461193/ Also, do you think it is a good idea to buy their USB-C cables (and use it for charging and data transfer between my phone and computer)?: https://www.ikea.com/se/sv/p/lillhult-usb-typ-c-till-usb-kabel-svart-vit-90464806/ From what I’ve heard, IKEA’s chargers and cables scores very good on teardowns. The only thing that worries me somewhat is that the charger and the cables are very cheap, almost too cheap...

Hi. I'm an IT """""professional""""" trying to help a client with his oldschool home phone system and I have absolutely no idea anything about this system. I've set up VoIP systems before but idk much about older systems. The system fried due to a power surge and needs replacing but I need to understand at least the basics of the system so I can find and contract out somebody to go fix it. This thing is a panasonic electronic modular switching system 616 easa-phone. I want to know the following: 1- does this system have any purpose outside routing calls and house-wide intercom and junk 2- are there any newer systems on the market that do the same thing and would be recommended to get over replacing this 3- Some general information on what this system is and how it works so I can more easily research everything. I don't need a full breakdown, just a general understanding. Thanks! Also I'm new on this forum so sorry if this is in the wrong thread.

I have a Lenovo flex 5 (great budget laptop btw) and I just moved and need to replace my charger soon (I know I could just buy the wall to adaptor portion, but I don't want to), I would prefer a large wall wort with multiple ports and a long usb-c cable, I don't know what wall wort/adaptor to get. I figure any usb-c to usb cable will work, right? Should I get a 65 watt charger like the one i have now, or is it the amperage or voltage that matters? If it's too hard to explain any article or other material you can point me to would be greatly appreciated. Also, a very similar question. Can I plug my phone into my laptop charger (its a oneplus nord) Thanks a ton

I’m thinking of buying an A71 and switch over from my Galaxy S8. I want to transfer all apps, photos and videos, and settings. Can I use Smart Switch to achieve this? It’s unclear if Smart Switch will work from a Galaxy device to a A-series device.

I've had to make repairs to my phone a couple times, screen cracked once from a drop on tile. Then during that repair (screen for~$80, think I got lucky), the fingerprint sensor ribbon connector on the motherboard of the phone broke, after about six months I bought a parts only phone with a cracked screen for ~$110 and transferred good motherboard to frame with good screen, boom fully functional Pixel 3 XL. As a cautionary message, the ribbon cable clamps, that the fingerprint sensor uses, are very fragile unlike the lego style connectors that every other connection in the phone uses. My total repair cost would have less than $100 if not for that fragile connector. As to the back glass mod, I had almost a whole phone's worth of spare parts so I started scratching the paint away and around the NFC coil, as that is adhered to the glass and cleaned the adhesive off the parts that are exposed, plenty of double sided adhesive tape later its all together and clear like Tom Cruise. Both phones work too, so now I'm just looking for ideas for more mods, any ideas?

Summary A video of a the realme 7 has leaked and is set launch on September 3rd. From the specs on the back of the box it appears to have a Helio G95 gaming processor 90Hz Display and a 5000mAh battery which can be charged via its 30W Dart Charger. Quotes My thoughts This phone will mean Realme and their parent BBK electronics will have a even larger foothold on the phone market than they already have and will mean there will be more competition which is always good Sources https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/08/30/unboxing-video-confirms-design-and-specifications-of-the-realme-7/
