We all know it's risky going over 2GHz GPU with Ampere. But what can be expected with Memory overclocks? I didn't realise until I install it that the 3070's Memory frequency is substanially less than the 3080's (7000MHz vs 9500MHz) Feel free to post your 3070 overclocks showing GPU and RAM frequencies. Here is mine on day one.

Ok, so I've had a zotac amp 1060 since it pretty much came out but in the last year or 2 my screen would start turning off for a second and turn right back on. I have overclocked it in the past but nothing heavy and I didn't keep the overclock for long either. I have tried different cables so I know its not the cable and i put in a different gpu before and it wont do it with that gpu so I know the monitor is fine. any ideas what it could possibly be? Also when I turn off my pc and turn it back on it won't do it for awhile but once i start watching youtube or playing a game it starts happening about 15-20 min later

This is my first time overclocking and I have no idea what is the best settings . I used ryzen master to oc and this when things started getting complicated. I set my speed at 4.125 ghz and my voltage at 1.225 . I don't know WTF happened but it didn't crash !!!!!! I tried cenibench and fur mark to stress my cpu . But IT DIDN'T CRASH !!!! I need help . I don't know WTF is going on .........

Hi there guys! I'm having some issues with my MB/RAM/CPU whatever is from the problem... These issues are there that long that I don't remember how much time it is, but the things is I'm trying to fix it and would love some help since I'm runnning out of ideas. First of all my setup: CPU i7 7820X GPU MSI RTX 2080TI Trio 11GB WC Corsair H115i Case Corsair Carbide 600Q Motherboard ASUS ROG Strix X299-E Gaming PSU EVGA Supernova G3 750W 80Plus Gold Mod. SSD Samsung 960 EVO NVMe M.2 SSD PCI-e 500GB RAM x2 G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR4 4133 16GB x2 G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR4 4266 16GB (Got these on QuadChannel) Performance is really decent, but I can't keep my ram above 2133 without getting problems after long time without using the computer... I mean, I turn off my computer when I'm going to sleep so that few hours after that my PC won't boot at all, I need to press "turn on" button to hard shutdown, again turn on, then It will turn on (without any OC at all) after that I just restart my computer then everything is applied accordingly. 4000 is working perfect and no problem at all. My BIOS is up to date, everything is up to date and this problem has been there with every version. If I want that extra performance I need to do this everytime I turn on my computer, so... I'm getting tired of it. I've been researching whole internet, most issues that I've searched are related to boot voltages. My BIOS manual has some boot voltages stuff for RAM, but unlucky me when I'm going into my BIOS these options are gone. I'm using advance mode, just in case someone will ask. I just OC'd CPU with no problems but when I change RAM Frequency its a mess. XMP it's just the same issue, everything RAM involved turns into next day cold boot being a total failure. I've tried sleep mode/hibernate but after few mins, seems like when I want to use my computer again it's stucked just like a cold boot. I mean, I've been like this 3 years, I'm thinking about change MB but before I want to try everything, because I've already tried stick by stick, and everything is the same problem. If you wonder why do I have 2 pairs of different RAM it's because 4133 are the old ones, and 4266 are the new ones, same CL19 19-19-19-36 (If I remember it properly) so that shouldn't be a problem. I'm really frustrated and would like some new ideas :( Sorry if I just write something wrong, first time talking about this and I'm not native. If someone reads this and wants more info just ask for it ^^

TDP for this card is 340W. I raise the power slider to 110, which means the total TDP for the card should be 370W. Even though its raised, the card still power limits around 100% TDP or, 340w-350w. It never actually gets to 370w and stays there. This results in heavy power limiting during overclocking. Is there any way to circumvent this? Make the PCIE slot draw the full 75w and the two 8 pins 150w each? I notice this is an issue among other 2 8 pin cards such as the 3080 xc3. But, I notice its not prevalent on the 3080 FE, which uses two 8 pins for the 12 pin connector but still uses the full 375W as seen in jays overclocking the 3080 video. I find this completely idiotic that a FE 3080 can pull more watts than a AIB card.

So I plan to replace my thermal pads and paste on my card, and I have a couple questions. So to preface, my card runs at around 70c max when running superposition, mem temps reached 94c. When I remove my side panel on my 570x the core drops to 66c and mem drops to 88c. This is with around 2100rpm on the fans with the panel off and 2200rpm with the panel on. I have 6 ll120s in my case at 1200rpm. So I figured id replace the paste and pads before swapping out my case and see what happens. I saw multiple reviews and on open air the card doesn't really go past 63c, and so, it being a used card im guessing the pads and paste have degraded. So I have a couple questions regarding the whole process. I am debating between Kryonaut and Syy 157 for the core not sure which to go with. What brand of pads should I get? What kind of thermal conductivity? Should I buy multiple packs of 1mm, 2mm, 3mm and cut them myself? What do I need to cut them with to be precise? Should I go with a predetermined thermal pad kit for my specific card? Is it worth adding an extra thermal pad on the right side of the die on the vram modules? I read that there should be one there from factory but there isnt. I just dont want it to prevent proper contact with the GPU die as I game so ideally both vram and core temps would come down. Does this void warranty? I am finding mixed answers online and it doesn't explicitly say in their warranty terms.

I bought this gpu 2 days ago, seller was reliable, he ran 3d mark on gpu, everything was fine, so i bought it and came home with it. Plugged into pc, installed drivers, ran some games, everything was fine. Than i opened msi kombustor and run tests, but in the the tests i labeled with the red square ( not the furmark msi ) artifact scanner is f***d up as you can see in the images. What is interesting is that all 6 broken tests are open gl.The gpu is zotac gtx 950 single fan 2 gb. I dont know what to do, i'm frustrated from the problem, every help appreciated!!!

Hi there! I'm having problems when trying to enable the XMP 2 profile with my new memory. I've recently upgraded from 2x 16GB GSkill 3200 CL14 (F4-3200-C14D-16GTZR) to 2x 32GB GSkill 3600 CL18 (F4-3600C18D-64GTZR) The desktop has an i7 8700K, Asus Rog Strix Z390-E and RTX3080. The Bios Version is 0602 (2018). My motherboard is listed in the manufacturers QVL https://www.gskill.com/product/165/166/1582537336/F4-3600C18D-64GTZR Before upgrading I could run XMP 2.0 profile without issues, when doing so with the new modules the Bios fails on post. It does runs fine at default bios settings or when I try using the XMP2.0 and manually lowering the Frequency to 3200MHZ instead (I'm attaching some captures of CPUZ running with those settings) Any ideas on how to reach the 3600MHZ? Would you suggest trying the XMP2.0 settings for 3600MHZ and adjusting smaller higher values on the Voltage (+1.35V) or maybe upgrading the BIOS to the latest version (there has been several DRAM combatibility upgrades since 0602)? Thanks a lot in advance

The build is: ASUS B450M-A Ryzen 5 3400G (65W TDP) 2 x 8GB of micron Rev E memory I started with overclocking memory to 3466 MHz and shrinked every timing as well (couldn't stabilise the 3533) added a negative offset on Vcore (-0.043) I enabled PBO X10 scalar +0MHz CPU (couldn't add even +25 without having instability) +200MHz GPU. Disabled PPT, EDC, TDC limits and platform thremal limits. The build suffered from sudden reboots on 3D applications and stress test. To solve the problem a 1.243V SOC was required with PBO enabled it can go as high as 1.32V in some rare cases on 3D applications, but it is almost always around 1.25V so I am fine with that. The memory was stable at even 1.35V SOC so these high voltages are not a problem. (I am aware that unsafe voltages starts beyond 1.3V so going to 1.34-1.36V and staying there for extended time is going to cause a degradation and that voltages reported by softwares like HWiNFO are not exactly the real ones) Now after running any game, the CPU package power goes (75-87W) Later once temperature goes beyond 73° the package power automatically gets limited to 65W only. The difference in game FPS is not clear (almost the same), but the CPU clock speeds goes lower and graphics core clock shows the same behaviour. I don't like this limit. How can I disable this limit?

Strix Z690 D4 12900k 1-3080ti 16gb ddr4 4500 E cores disabled for more OC headroom on cache and ?memory? 7c14T (we don't talk about P-core5) ~All Core@5300mhz Cache@5100mhz Memory@4600mhz 18.20.20.44 Subs~auto populated Definitely seems more capable then 9th gen Core. I missed out on 10th and 11th gen intel.. intel really should advertise the performance w/ e cores disabled aswell, would make raptor lake a maybe,.. though I'll probably wait for post sapphire rapids, ~xeon~,depending on the cost To much a headache to have two sets of specs for one cpu perhaps,,,

So,since currently having 2 x 4 GB 3000mhz 16-18-18-36 Corsair Vengeance LPX RAM Modules, I decided i needed to upgrade to 4 x 4 for a (grand) total of 16 gb.The problem is the very exact kit of 2 x 4 Gb ram isnt avaiable anymore. In order to minimize the cost and any potential compatibility issues,I found a similar kit of 2 x 4 Gb 2666mhz of the same brand different colour (forgive me pc gods) and timing of 16-18-18-35.So in order to equalize the new kit with the old (same mhz and same timings) is it possible to only OC the new kit while having all 4 modules installed on my system without any issue?

I got my pc last week and I planned to overclock it, which is why I got the H170i, but I'm getting these temps with stock clocks after running cinebench (the right side is the max temps): So I can't move my clocks even an inch if I don't want to hit over 100 degrees. even 96 is REALLY high. Is there anything I can do? Is it supposed to hit these temps? I've tried lowering the voltage but I couldn't get under static 1.25V and -0.08V offset (a lower offset leads to a crash) which got me to around 84 degrees max, which still seems really high and I don't think I can overclock with these temps. Any help/suggestions are appreciated.

I have reverted any OC settings as I have no idea anymore. I have overwhelmed myself with articles across 3 websites. So I'm wondering what to do for best performance. I want at least 4.3ghz. I swear I used to get it, however I think it was in minecraft at one point in time. At PBO enabled and D.O.C.P. I tested cinebench multiple runs. Hit around 1.3v at 4.050ghz to 4.1ghz. Prime95 however is give me 4.050 or solid 4.0ghz at 1.280v. What is the better stress test for stability? & What is the best method to get clocks to where they should be? Static or PBO, with other bios settings I should enable or mess with? For the matter of uses this will be doing is, stream/recording and gaming at the same time from this system. Occasionally I render videos and use davnci. Oh also I have the Fmax feature. Basic specs are an Asus x570 TUF plus wifi, 32gb ram 3200mhz 1600fclk. 360 AIO and 3070 TI FTW3. Case is DG-87

so recently i have been having a issue that when i go to OC my cpu to 4.9GHz everytime that i restart my pc that overclock will be returned to the Cpu standard of 3.6Ghz and With an OC I always put my Power Plan on the - Ultimate Performance so that my Processor Power Management will be both at 100% for min and max. After restart my pc the power plan will be returned to -Balanced and my OC will be returned to -3.6GHz and i'm just getting tired of having to redo my power plan and my cpu clock to -4.9GHz inside of my Bios or with Intel Extreme tuning for Win 11. Is there a way to get both to stay at where i set them i have never ran into that issue with Win10 and i am running out of ideas to keep my OC. Hi, I'm new here.. Maybe you guys can help me. I have just finished my PC build, it's a 10700KF, Asus Tuf Z590 Gaming WIFI, Sytche Fuma 2 and 2 x 8 GB Corsair LPX 3200 MHz, CL 16. But I'm having some problems when I play with OC, when I dial in everything above 5,0 GHz in BIOS the OC is not taking place. I tried 5,2 GHz but CPU Z and HWMonitor is only showing my OC is clocked @ 5,0 GHz.It's not AVX offset cause it's value is set to 0 in BIOS. What do I do wrong? Thanks.
